Group 7-day waking average?

Have you ever decided to do a job that you think won't take long but does? I decided that as it was raining and cold i would sort out underneath the spare (tiny) room bed. What i thought would be a quick job as taken me 4+ hours!!! I've just finished and now hypo so sitting down having just treated it. It didn't look as though there was much under there (none of it was mine). Younger daughter has been hoarding things. Not any more!!

great that you have recently had slightly improved your vision @Pam123, like you I decided to give that mask a go and Ive been using the Noctura sleep mask myself for 3 weeks now.

I’m not sure if it has helped /or will, I must admit I’ve left it off a few nights and sometimes it’s flown off, that was before another user (not on here) but on Facebook gave me the micropore tape trip 😉

Ok so I don’t have the same eye condition as you do @Pam123
my situation is after over 10 years of treatment
one eye the swelling has whilst not completely gone away, in that eye the vision has vastly improved
my bad eye that still has a swelling, that eye I now have a Ozurdex implant in that is still concerning the team I’m under at my local DMO clinc
I have to say I am very hopeful that the mask is doing something, I have a slight swelling in my bad eye and even that has improved somewhat as I can see more through the foggy patch, and my good eye hasn't been this clear in years, I have made an appointment to see my Optician again this week as my new glasses are to strong, they said he will do a re test so it will me interesting to see what he has to say after one month.

I have had the mask come off a few times but have managed to keep it on most of the 8 hour session.

13:25 BS 8.5 Phone battery died in the night so, no midday alarm & I slept late. But, phone charged now, tresiba in & just finished my breakfast of roast beef & red onion chutney KM no crusts toasties with a cuppa soup! 😛

A Very G’day Mates to you all & hoped you’ve had a Wonderful Day! 😉

4.1 this morning just had another set back re my eye appointment which was this Wednesday at the eye clinic, my hubby phoned them to find out about parking only to be told the referral had been rejected as they don't do diabetic treatment, despite being assured they did, the referral is still on my NHS app, someone isn't doing there job that's for sure so its back to square one again, were waiting for a call from a manager on the referral team tomorrow, so far this has been going on for almost a month.

OMG 😳 😡 Shocked to read your post …
Having been under the eye clinic for me at my local NHS hospital for I think 12 years now
I can’t believe how you’ve been treated @Pam123
even through Covid I was seen every 4/6 or 8 weeks what ever they needed

I’ve been into eye Casualty also on 3 occasions and plus as everyone knows I’ve been treated down at Oxford recently also, maybe Ive been lucky but once they realised I needed treatment there wasn't really to much messing around,

Personally I think if you don’t get a response from that Manager (of the referral team tomorrow) you should politely be complaining to your GP/ DSN or if your under a Endo’ at the diabetes dept of your local hospital one of them needs to get you in to see what can be done & without any further delay

Depending on what the manager comes up with tomorrow, ive got an appointment with my doctor on the 20th to see what he can do, I am not under the hospital at all, and the DN is useless and also on extended leave having just had a baby, the doctor on the other hand is lovely and understands my issues, I have already made an official complaint which has been ignored.

You could see if there is a SpaMedica where you are as I'm sure they do diabetic eye treatment and ask to be referred there.

yes they do I was referred there first and they rejected it because I am out of there catchment area, even though I am only 20 miles away, the lady I spoke to today said the doctor might be able to do something.

Hey! I meant to post earlier today but I kept getting distracted. Waking BG was 4´2, but it quickly went up to 8´4, so might have been some compression effect. However yesterday I woke up in the 4s too and stayed there for a bit.

I have double good news: I have been granted "Indefinite Leave to Remain" in the UK and last night I got approved for the room I wanted to rent! I was over the moon and thought I´d be very happy to tell you lot in the morning. But I woke up groggy and confused as I slept poorly and had weird dreams about the new flat being an absolute mess (and located simultaneously in Wales and Newcastle LOL). Well, if I only had seen pictures I´d be worried it could be a scam but obviously I´ve been to the place in person and I know it doesn´t look like the dream.

Morning a 6.6 for me and stayed in 6s most of night apart from the 3 Dextrose caused a small, spike as I dropped low as went to bed.Small lie in as dogs were tired.
Nice trip to Llangollen this morning and kind of day I really enjoy as lovely countryside but we have to take one of our dogs to Vets as he has been carrying his back leg and need to check it out.
In the dog house as said I would pick my son up from work and was still asleep on sofa when wife arrived back home and said had I was late.
So jumped in car and ended up 15 minutes late but shop had closed and him and his mate were waiting for me in the dark car park.
About to have breakfast so have a good day all.

Good morning all hope ur all well Have a good safe day
5.3 for me yes result
gail

6.9 for me this morning
Pond chap going to find me a different (cheaper) but not as good pump. He will ask some of his customers to rehome the koi. If I go to goldfish and 2 of my favourite koi I should be good to go down to one filter and keep the new pump as a backup. So still an expensive solution. Sigh.
Have a good one folks, stay safe

Morning all, 6.9 here. Went for my breast screening yesterday, a five minute walk down the road, Was whisked straight in, as nobody else there, in and out and back home making a coffee ten minutes later. If only all medical appointments were the same.

Morning lovelies!
6.5 for me this morning.
Further tweaked my back so it's looking like a bed rest kinda day today, not ideal but definitely needed.

Hope you're all well and have a cracking day :care:

8.4 - a little high and possibly went to sleep high but don't know because well err... I went to sleep and forgot my bedtime reading.

The boy and I did celebrate a good parents evening with pizza though . The feedback was very consistent - teachers love him; he's funny, clever and likeable. Just sometimes, for reasons he can't help at the moment he just gets too giddy. They're all working with him much better though to get the best out of him so the work I've been doing behind the scenes is paying off. Like getting good diabetes care though, getting the right support for kids who are struggling shouldn't be this hard.

Quiet day today. Had to complete a compliance document for one of our suppliers yesterday which was signed off by them without a fuss which is great. Could have led to us having to write even more process manuals and introduce new systems and controls however they are happy with everything so big relief.
