Group 7-day waking average?

I recently listened to a song that my parents and other relatives often refer to, "La bilirrubina" (bilirubin). @Carlos you may know that one. The message is sort of "I am ill with love and only your affection can cure me!" but not in a tragic way, in a funny one, and with a very upbeat music. I'd never heard the lyrics properly before, and was shocked that one line says "inject me your love like insulin"!
It sounded vaguely familiar, and looking it up I remember the singer being popular at the time. I was never into popular music, so I can't say I remember the song itself, though it was probably still a thing when I was diagnosed in 94.

How unusual as Bilirubin is a product produced by the breakdown of red Blood cells and is measured by Liver function Tests.

Hello everyone! 7'2 at 5 am this morning.

I enjoyed Eden Project yesterday. It was a gray day so we spent most of our time in the Biomes, two big greenhouses shaped as bubbles (or clouds, maybe?) that are the symbol of the place. One recreating a rainforest and another a Mediterranean area. I must say the latter felt familiar, with the citrus and olive trees, and the rosemary, and sort of village square that made me think of summer fayres! There was also an sculpture of a man in a bike with a sign that said "almost virgin olive oil"

The entry is pricey but it gives you access for one year and I was pleased to find out you get a good discount if you live in Cornwall or Devon. We were joking about what would be the face of the employees when two Spanish and a Finnish showed up with a "Locals Pass", but we had our proofs of address and it went all smoothly, they didn't even check my ID!

I am now on the way to spend 15£ I have left on a M&S gift card and complete the rest of the weekly shop at either Sainsbury's or Lidl. So many choices! I skipped the grocery shop last week and at this point my fridge contains tofu, an apple, a chunk of red Leicester and two garlic cloves :D
When we only had three grandchildren, in 2017, we took them to Cornwall for five days. Visiting the Eden Project was definitely one of the highlights for all of us. I didn’t really know what to expect to be honest, so it was a lovely surprise. How fab that you can go again for free.

The song plays a bit with the idea of being ill and getting love for a cure. A bit like Bon Jovi's Bad Medicine it uses medical terms for humorous effect. I think it just happens that in Spanish words ending in ina are easy to rhyme.

Yes, I would like to go when it's a bit warmer to see it in a different way, and focus in the outdoors areas. But I must convince these friends to go again or find someone else with a car, as the 3 and a half hours on public transport put me off a bit! Unless I make a 2-3 day trip of it and visit somewhere else in the area...

Me and the other girl wanted to do the zipline (her husband was not very interested) but that alone costs more than the ticket. And that's the "super off-peak" price! 😱

They're supposed to be on to build anther Eden in Morecambe. The plans have been drawn up a couple of years ago, but Lancaster Council have been dragging their heels about finding the private funding after they secured half of the cost from the government. As the date to start has been constantly put back several times over recent years, we belive it's a 'White Elephant' and will never happen. The completion date is 2027 now. It was originally 2024 to my knowledge.

I had a GP appointment this morning to discuss the MRIs I had on both knees. The 'good' knee which suddenly went pop and I couldn't bear weight at the end of Nov but in the time it took for the MRI with the treatment with pain killers and support has sort of resolved itself revealed a Bakers Cyst. However the 'bad' knee, the one that I ruptured the patellar tendon three years ago and has never been right since revealed multiple issues, torn medial and lateral meniscus, anterior crucial ligament tear, thickening of the patellar tendon, joint effusion and a popliteral cyst so not good and explains the problems I have with it. He couldn't say how long I would need to wait for an orthopaedic referral so I'm considering a private consultation as the GP didn't seem to know what the potential treatment might be.
Trouble is you don't know if what you are doing could be doing more damage if you have to wait for the NHS for any length of time but on the other hand it has been the same for quite a while.

04:40 BS 4.4 with a headache & munching, from a new pack, a giant marshmallow!

An early Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

My BS was swinging a bit yesterday & my graphs looks a bit strange for a strangely tiring day that was exhausting that left me quite wired so, I had difficulty in dropping off to sleep around 01:00! I wouldn’t be awake now if I wasn’t headed low, I suspect! There’s no red on the graph but, I DID wake with a headache that’s still present as I type this & it’s affecting my typing a bit, I, in italics didn’t do the cleaning or the physical moving stuff out & into cupboards yesterday but, I was quite exhausted & short of breath as I was moving around the kitchen as the lady cleared the junk out, suggested where to put things & the theory behind why put them there, I thought about it & put forward why I like certain where as per my neuropathy issues, we compromised on where things went & she put them there!

OHHH! At last my headache is easing now & BS is rising 05:00 BS 5.0,

I will try & get back to sleep now I feel better! I still feel tired on about 3 hours of sleep! A Stream of Z’s emojis!

Have to stay awake for a bit longer yet as BS is wiggling down & up in the 4’s as I’m eating some Mr. Kipling, the new Strawberry flavoured, French Fancies I had just opened on Sunday’s asda shopping & is still on the chest of drawers beside my bed!

My BS was stubbornly wiggling about still quite high in the 11’s to 14’s late last night. Was still at 00:41 BS 13.9 so, had a cuppa soup & had a guessed NR of 42, I thought 40 or 44 & compromised in the middle, & went to bed right after! The bolus was obviously too much but, it was still so high to start with!

Yesterday was a strange day as it exhausted me so much & my BS was behaving strangely as well!

At last! I’m out of the 5’s & 05:30 BS 6.6 so, the fat in the icing & cake may have slowed things down a bit but, the French Fancies were there & convenient; absolutely delicious too on Sunday; tasted overly sickly sweet just now on a hypo brain that changes my taste of things! 🙄

Now wiggling in the 5’s & still at the tail end of active NR so, keep scanning & I’ll leave the Fancies, as they’re too slow & have my usual Nice biscuits until active NR passes & BS stays stable!

Good morning was 5.6 on waking today

Have a Terrific Tuesday Everyone 😎

Uhhh! 06:17 BS 13.9 the giant marshmallow, fancies & nice biscuits BUT, BS is stable, headache has waxed & waned & I’m still tired! I CAN go back to sleep now as active NR is definitely passed & BS is no longer low! Goodnight you lovely lot! A Stream of Z’s!

Good morning - 5.3

Have a great day everyone.

Morning you lovely bunch!
5.5 for me this morning, managed to get in the red overnight though - lay on my left side which I rarely do so that landed me a 2.7!
Glad it was just that, terribly unprepared for lows.

Hope you all have a belting day 🙂 <3

6.9 this morning by the power of Libre 🙂. On the advice of the DSNs I took my evening Levemir a bit later to help in the morning with the FTTF and breakfast spike.

Currently being snogged to death by one of the dogs. Our labradoodle is always full of kisses in the morning. Our cockerpoo is not so bothered - she just wants food!

In the office today. Got to finalise a grant application and no doubt have the usual fun to deal with.

The boy seemed pretty happy at school yesterday and they've signed a male student support person to him who is checking in on him every day to try and build a bit of trust so he'll have someone he feels he can talk to.

The female member of staff who had unofficially assumed that role has been utterly brilliant but it's technically a little bit outside of her remit and I think school wasn't something/someone more formally in that role.

Breakfast beckons - becoming quite a fan of Greek yogurt with chai, flax, some nuts and sometimes a sprinkling of muesli or oats just to give it some substance.

30 minute base run in the training calendar for tonight too.

7.7

Morning all. Have a good day. How’s it only Tuesday ?!

Morning all, 6.2 here

Yesterday we had a meeting with our former manager from work. She is going to help us file a collective grievance against the owner of the care home, because we are still owed statutory notice and redundancy pay and he is refusing to engage with us. If he declares the company insolvent we can go through the government redundancy scheme, but if he doesn't, we will have to go to an employment tribunal.

I am fortunate that I'm not reliant on that money, but some of my colleagues are, and it's not fair for him to try and wriggle out of his responsibilities.

Morning and a 4.8 for me.Had Bangers and a big pile of Mash last night and as wife was out I did not want to go out walking so had extra insulin including a 3u correction to deal with 2nd BF rush.It was 1u too much so was low going to bed and had 3 Dextrose and had to have another two early but it stayed at a very nice low level in 4s so again happy.
Taking my wife to Manchester for her sign off appointment from her minor skin surgery 6 months ago.Is routine and we look forward to coffee and toast and traffic should be fine.
Then a trip to a garden centre on way home and a bit of admin at home then.
Had a big delivery I need to sort out and break down into packs to deliver and in fact sometimes my job is just an expensive delivery driver.
The wife went mad when the delivery was made and I had not warned her as there are lots of boxes and I was driving around the Shropshire countryside and a visit to Shrewsbury which is a nice town.
Have a good week all
