Group 7-day waking average?

Hi Pam.You usually seem to do an excellent job of controlling your BG levels.
However I think it is irresponsible of your other half charging your insulin dosage without informing you. By all means he should have discussed reducing your dosage and measuring the results and progress from there.
But as I said changing or altering any medication can be dangerousand am sure he only had the best of intentions but I would be very annoyed if it happened to me.
Presumably you have asked him why?
yes I am annoyed with him, and at the same time pleased how stable it is at the moment, I did ask him why, and he said I seamed to be having a lot of hypos at the time, I'm going back about 6 months, and I did talk about reducing my dose but didn't, so he took it on himself dropping 2 units every week or so, he stopped reducing it a while ago now, and ive told him to leave it alone now, yes he thought he was helping but promised he won't do it again, I struggle to inject myself that's why he does it but ive said I will struggle to do it myself if does it again

Thanks for response Pam and I was sure he would be doing it with your best interest at heart and can well understand the sentiment behind it in terms of trying to help you reduce your hypos.
However,it should be solely done in conjunction with yourself being made fully aware of what doses were being given as it is you who needs to know exactly what medication and dose you are receiving and of course as you struggle to inject yourself and rely on him total trust is essential.

Going quite well, although a bit more walking this morning due to the frosty pavements, and me doing a good impression of Bambi on ice. I am doing the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April. Here are the photos of me doing it before with a friend who I met on this forum.
Who is that handsome chap?!

Good morning - 4.7

Have a great day everyone.

8.4 this morning. A little high but hey, it'll come back within a better range over the day.

DSNs at 11am and then scooting over to the office. Not much planned there other than my usual day to day shift.

No idea how the boy is going to be about school. He's been ok over the weekend - he flits between being very down and depressed and massively hyper. I love him when he is hyper as he's so much fun but it's almost as hard work as when he's down!

Anyway, I've got the executive principal involved now as I don't think school were doing quite enough due to 'rules' that were just getting in the way. Apparently there is only so much support they can put in place until he's been formally diagnosed with ADHD/autism yet no one at the school who knows him nor my wife or I have any doubt. So I've challenged school to explain the reasons they can't put more support in now when a diagnosis takes months and years given the delays in children's mental health services.

The EP is great though and really gets the boy so hopefully they'll be able to ask the SEN team to put some appropriate measures in place to help him.

good morning 5.7 today

Yesterday ended with a just before midnight low alert, levels were still dropping after half a dozen JB’s got up for a slice of toast and nutella before they rose again
at first I thought it was a compression low but FP test showed 4.0 dropped to as low as 3.2 according to my “tag” first hypo for ages (intact I think Libra view shows only about half a dozen in the last 6 months) so things are different to back pre last summer

Happy Monday everyone 😎

Morning. Less full of cold but still off it. 9.1.

Have a good day.

Morning a 7.1 for me which breaks my nice run but happy as decided to have a big bowl of porridge for tea last night which was first time in over a year.I know how it can spike BG but I had forgotten how it effects me and it was so delicious I ate all of it.
I did take extra insulin and a walk and managed it well afterwards and then I had the 2nd surge and decided to have a 3u correction before bed not really knowing if it was correct.
But dropped quickly and stayed in 6s most of night so was fine.
Nice usual lunch out with son and wife and just watched TV interspersed with a walk or two
Enjoy your week.

Morning all. 7.4. I was at a clarty party yesterday, cake was available and it would have been rude not to sample a wee bit.😉

Eden’s 1st birthday party went well, what a smashing little soft play area it was. It was in our local community centre, it’s quite new, and in fact is built on me and Mr Eggy’s old school, or at least where the gym and pool was. Have only been once to get a covid jab, it’s very swish. All the kids enjoyed themselves, age range 6 months to seven years. It was noisy and chaotic but hardly any tears from any of them. And @zippyjojo the toilets were fabulous and no nappy smells, dirty or otherwise, in fact they supplied nappies and sanitary wear. Very impressed.

Today is a different sort of day. I’m going to help Mr E and his bros to clear their mother’s bungalow. I’m on clothes! She did have a lot of clothes and the wardrobes are bulging! The local charity shop is going to be happy, there’ll be loads of tat no doubt as well. It needs to be cleared by the end of this month and we’ll need to organise a skip as the local authority wants the carpets lifted up, plus the furniture is well passed it’s best. Some might be salvageable and I’ll advertise it on a FB site for free. Our local hospice has a furniture shop and collects for free, but, quite rightly, they’re fussy what they take. H&S and all that. We won’t get it all done today, even though it’s only a one bed pensioner’s bungalow, she was a border! 🙄

Here’s something to make you smile, or actually laugh out loud like we did.
1. Eden looking all angelic as we sang happy birthday to her.
2. Mr Eggy caught her at a funny angle after devouring the cake, I sent it to her mother last night who added the meme!

Morning :hello: 7.1 as usual here, cold is improving, almost had a decent sleep with the coughing subsiding.
Off to the yard today to start prep on the boats for the race season. The black safety boat needs a new deck so that's a priority. Me-me still needs eye drops 5x a day so will be taking regular breaks lol
Hope you all have a good one.

Morning all. 6.1 for me on waking, down from 8.8 a little before 4am when my 'dawn phenomenon' alert chirped and prompted me to take 1 unit of NovoRapid to bring blood sugar back down to something more comfortable.

Nice sunny day yesterday, which gave me a welcome opportunity to get several walks in. Much more pleasant than the dreary/stormy weather in late January.

Morning all. 3.5 so i had a couple of JBs. Currently 7.3 going up fast.

I'm going round to mums today to help her shower. She's ok once she's in but its the getting in and out thats the problem as the shower is over the bath. She does have a bench to sit on once in so its just a case of being there to help at the beginning and the end.

@eggyg Eden is so cute!

Morning all. 7.1 here.

Looking back over my first few days with the Omnipod 5 my TIR has seen a massive improvement, even on Saturday which was a mess of peaks and troughs and frustrated plans. Yesterday, I managed to remember to support the system not work against it. Old diabetes habits die hard (17 years’ worth of old habits!) but hopefully I’m getting there.

Great pics @eggyg - that face screams “I’m stuffed and need a lie-down”. Glad to hear you all had a fab time.

Up early again to take our youngest to work for a 7am start. Expected to have to de-ice the car but it wasn't necessary as we had no frost overnight, or if we had it had disappeared by the time we had to leave. He's been told he's on tills for the next 2 weeks as he's not to lift anything or raise his arm above shoulder height yet. He doesn't mind - he's done it before at Sainsbury's. His seasonal contract was for 3 months, lasting until tomorrow, so it seems they are keeping him on although they haven't actually told him so. Anyway, although not a fan of such early starts I'll take one if this is what I get:-

Got one fence post back in the ground and one panel back in place yesterday but only had enough post-mix in the shed for the one. I have 5 bags of honeysuckle to get rid of (and at least another 5 afterwards) and the garden waste collection isn't until next week, so I'll pick another mix up from Wickes on the way back from the recycling centre this morning. All being well I'll get the fence repair finished today.

As usual on a Monday we have 3 WFH, so just as well I have things to do that'll keep me out of the way rather than trying not to make a noise because someone's on a call or in a Teams meeting.

Hope everyone's Monday blues have disappeared and you have a good start to the week.

5.3 today for me.

Need to get my coursework completed this morning - got the weekly “quiz” left to do. Other than that we are now starting to get sorted ready for our holiday next Saturday.

@eggyg - great pictures of Eden!

@Grannylorraine (and @ColinUK !) impressed with the running! Well done both!

Congratulations @Martin.A on your HS!

Have a good day everyone!
