Group 7-day waking average?

Good evening all - what started out as a lovely day gradually degenerated into a vicious cold wind the like of which we rarely see here in Cornwall.

6.4 first thing. Nice flat line overnight. TIR 89% for the last 7 days of self management, which is considerably better than the HCL ever managed!

Why am I currently posting consistently late? Because J brings me a cuppa in bed first thing. I drink it and read all the posts on my phone or ancient iPad. I then get up and do what I need to, shower etc and do necessary tasks around the house before turning the computer on and using a proper keyboard to type my posts. Sometimes, like today, I don't get to turn it on until I've been wherever or done whatever, like today. Must try harder or at least earlier!

So went into town with J to do some errands and so forth including having another look at a dress I saw in a sale on Thurs in a really traditional family store. Today tried it on - perfect for a friend's summer wedding and an absolute bargain at less than half the original price (and a quality item). I daren't put weight on though! From there we went to meet friends for a drink. A lovely group of people, we started as a regular 10/12 and due to people moving away or passing away are now just 6.

@freesia I regret to say I still dream of the hotel we had for 12 years - it's never the real nightmare we had of staff not turning up... but instead the place is a mess and needs redecorating, which was always addressed promptly. We sold it 25 years ago!

@Gwynn I feel for you so much and know how you have suffered when your wife has been sectioned before. Please try to look after yourself, give yourself some care, or you won't be able to care for her when she comes home. As @rebrascora says, do some walking - preferably with your friend. Do remember we are all here to support you.

Love and hugs to everyone else - I've gone on long enough!

Had a rare lie-in this morning and didn't get up until 8:30, most unlike me.
Aww, you call 8:30 a lie in... On my days off you won´t usually see me awake before 9 am! But then on working days I have to wake up at 7 at the latest, and when on extra early shift, at 5 am. Which my teenager self would have never thought possible! As my dad would say, they haven´t set the streets up at this hour

Oh, I probably don´t get the same level of stress from that as you would as an owner, but I can tell you staff not turning up is really common here as well. This month we have the opposite issue, people wanting to work and management cutting hours down...

If it had ben earlier in the day it would have been Good moaning! So instead good evening. Yesterday evening I got overwhelmed by tiredness and went o bed early. A few hours later I was woken by the Low Alarm and commence a two hour battle to get my BG up. It was not helped by starting to vomit half way through. I thought for a while I would have to callt he paramedics for a glucose infusion but managed to get though. Today I have felt very achy and tired, and have probably slept mote than I was awake. Waking BG 6.8.

Morning all. 5.2

Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 last night at the Donmar was excellent.

Morning and congrats on HS Colin.
Glad you enjoyed last night and any mention of anything to do with Comets takes me way back to reading Huckleberry Finn and Mark Twain who apparently was both born and died in the years Haileys Comet was observed.
A 5.8 for me and what a difference a week makes. My average BG has gone from 7.5 to 6.6 in last 7 days just by having a more normal routine and by being more in control.
Nice day yesterday and with my 2u correction dose and eating left over Pizza an hour earlier kept it all at a nice flat level.
Going out to lunch today so will enjoy that and must admit week ahead is fairly quiet and routine which I do prefer.
Enjoy rest of w/ end

6.1 this morning, after a pretty flat night. More 'lost signal' issues with my G7 sensor yesterday - must be a dodgy sensor and not a problem with the iPhone as I had earlier suspected. Isn't technology such fun - NOT! :(

GM

5 2 for me.

Today is finally the time to begin clearing the garden, then as a reward of to see a film, we are looking at Mike Leigh's new release.

Wishing you all a lovely day

7.1 this morning. In the 7's seems to be pretty much it but without the CGM I don't know how much of that is FTTF by the time I actually roll out of bed and reach for the FP machine.

Not much planned for the day. Nice day yesterday - flew one plane well, stuffed the other into a tree. Then took the boy shopping as he was desperate for a real watch. He'd seen some in TikTok and Instagram and I've been trying to tell him they may look great on the videos but what you get in real life may well be different.

Anyway long story short, I suggested we actually go and look at some so went to a jewellers who gave us the full works - sat us down, offered us a drink, watch out of the case wearing gloves etc. He was so impressed and chose a really nice watch that he is so happy with and I'm pleased that he's not bought some expensive but tat piece that would have disappointed him.

40min base run in the calendar for later and I must sweep up the last of the leaves. Love where we live and largely love the street trees but they do create a lot of work!

Morning all. 5.7. Much better.

Lovely quiet day yesterday, I got my books sorted, all boxed up to be either sold or to go to charity. I’ve got rid of about a hundred books. I used to hoard them and they were everywhere, my book shelves were groaning and looked very untidy. I don’t tend to re read books so I don’t know why I kept them. In January 2023 I got rid of about 500 books! Most of them were given away but I sold quite a few too. Then last January I did the same, I read 90/100 books a year so I now get rid of them. It’s the only New Year’s resolution I have. It feels quite liberating. I do have a couple of shelves of books which I will never get rid of. I do sometimes re read those.

Today we’ll have a quiet morning/early afternoon, then we’re going to Eden’s first birthday party, she turns one tomorrow. That won’t be quiet! It’s been held at a soft play centre not far from us so we intend to walk there and back. Exercise has been sadly lacking lately for obvious reasons. Hopefully soon we can get back out there before we seize up!

Congratulations @ColinUK and @Sharron1 on your HSs.

Have a super Sunday.

Morning all hope you are all well

Morning 7.2 for me
Had a lovely chat with my friend yesterday but spent the rest of the day coughing from all the talking. He gave me a present too as he saw it thought I would like it. I can see why.
20250201_154016.jpgbut how on earth can I eat kittens?! Especially as they look like mine and one has the same name 😱

Have a great day you lovely people x

Morning all. 7.3 on the CGM this morning.

We’ve been told to treat lows cautiously on the Omnipod 5 - they’ve suggested 8g of carb in the 6s with a downward trending arrow, and 4g for an actual hypo. It’s so hard though! I’m used to slurping a whole juice box and carrying on with my day. So, lots of anxiety at the moment, which I was expecting. Yesterday was a mess - low, high, low, high - and not all of it was my doing, for once! So, today, I shall try to relax and carry on...

Hubby got a little tiddly last night (he went out with his nephew). When he got home, he slid off his seat trying to get his shoes off...the puppy was terrified! What’s he doing on the floor?!! She was better after a cuddle. They’re full of surprises (dogs, not hubbies).

Happy birthday Eden! @eggyg
