10:00 BS 9.2

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Will catch up on posts later as I don’t have much time for a quick breakfast as I have someone coming round at 11:00 to help me declutter the house starting with the kitchen! The lady’s company is called The Declutter Doctor & she’s already been round two weeks ago for 3 hours, she does 3 hours slots, & did half the kitchen. Things were getting on top of me again & my social worker suggested her company rather than just getting a cleaner as I don’t learn anything so, things get out of hand again. She’s taught me, as well as the main cleaning of course, about better layouts & ways of doing things! I’ve been slowly getting used to the new layout & it was STRANGE at first but, as she said “trust the process” & things DO work better with the new layout! It’s more expensive than your average cleaner but, I’m learning a new & better way of doing things!

Eek! Must dash if I want breakfast before she’s here otherwise it’ll be after 2pm before I eat!

yes I am annoyed with him, and at the same time pleased how stable it is at the moment, I did ask him why, and he said I seamed to be having a lot of hypos at the time, I'm going back about 6 months, and I did talk about reducing my dose but didn't, so he took it on himself dropping 2 units every week or so, he stopped reducing it a while ago now, and ive told him to leave it alone now, yes he thought he was helping but promised he won't do it again, I struggle to inject myself that's why he does it but ive said I will struggle to do it myself if does it again
I think to be safe you should be doing the injections yourself, the more you do it the easier I'm sure it will become.

It could be dangerous, if you get taken to hospital for some reason, a car accident or something incapacitating, and they ask you how much insulin you use, and you tell them based on how much you thought you were using, If they gave you that amount now, you might well hypo.

Good morrow lovelies!
6.5 for me, haven't eaten or even had any water yet, just some existentialism at play this morning.

Congratulations @Martin.A on your HS.

8.3 today. It's quite cool this morning despite the balmy weather!

I've had a plethora of calls today, mainly confirming the daily appointments, the main being my yearly Retinal Scan over at the health centre - there was a spot of Glaucoma developing on last years', so something else to worry my head over. My late father had it to, to more of a degree.

My OH has got her carer over atm so a little respite for myself, enabling me to answer my messages.

Well, my stomach is not yet in gear for eating today so, after 2pm it’ll be! Lady’s in & doing the walls & floors today with the various machinery that I don’t have: steam cleaners & the like etc; cleaning should be done quite quickly & then, we’ll go into the cupboards & show me where/how to put things. She says I have a good space but, just don’t know how to use it!

Morning all - well, the weather trying to be nice - and even half getting there!

9.1 first thing (now dropped to 7.2 since I got up 3.5 hours ago). I had tweaked basal last week and I was waking with better numbers, but I was going down overnight... so I tweaked it back. The trouble is we eat so late! It goes up and doesn't come down - perhaps more bolus? Or better carb counting as dinner is usually a guesstimate.

This afternoon we are going to have coffee with a friend who we haven't seen since about 2016. She and her husband moved away and then he passed two years ago and she has just moved back to town. Then we need a bit of grocery shopping. A chicken stew with kale and butternut squash for dinner - made it the other week and it was delicious so thought I'd make it again. I didn't do the butter bean mash before, but I will do my version with no potatoes tonight.

@Grannylorraine that photo does not do you justice, you are a lot younger and prettier in real life (yes we have met).

@Martin.A congratulations on the HS.

@eggyg - Eden is a cutie, no contest! Even with the chocolate cake mouth!

@Lanny - hope you can stick to the rearrangement - it's difficult I know - I feel quite proud of the stuff we have thrown out from the understairs cupboard, preventing it sneaking back in is the problem!

Have a good day all!

8.3 when I first woke up and that was with 2 units of Levemir last night because I got sick of fire fighting with Fiasp yesterday. Jabbed 8.5 units of Fiasp and my 20 units of Levemir and went back to sleep and woke on 4.8, just in time to throw breakfast together and eat it sharpish. Beats looking at it for 45 mins whilst waiting for Fiasp to overcome FOTF though. 🙄

Hoping I might be over the worst of my cold today!

Those photos are priceless! So pleased the party went well. @eggyg

5.3 today for me.

Need to get my coursework completed this morning - got the weekly “quiz” left to do. Other than that we are now starting to get sorted ready for our holiday next Saturday.

@eggyg - great pictures of Eden!

@Grannylorraine (and @ColinUK !) impressed with the running! Well done both!

Congratulations @Martin.A on your HS!

Have a good day everyone!
It was less “running” more “shuffling with intent” on my part!

Ahhhh! Lady just left & kitchen is finished! Spent the last 90 minutes doing the cupboards & she’s given me a new layout, AGAIN, of what goes where which is very STRANGE to me but, I’ll get used to it! The extraction fan is at full whack now as the strong chemicals spell, it was worse last time, is VERY strong but, the chemicals were needed to clean fast: she shocked me already the last time how fast she cleaned; less cleaning today & more organising of cupboards. I had the extraction fan at full whack for a day & a half the last time & hopefully it won’t take so long this time? I hardly recognise my kitchen now! Chucked huge bin liners of my mum & dad’s old stuff that cluttered up the cupboards & I have LOADS of space now even with all my stuff put away! I left most things out on the countertops & they’re all organised & put away now! 🙂

Hello everyone! 7'2 at 5 am this morning.

I enjoyed Eden Project yesterday. It was a gray day so we spent most of our time in the Biomes, two big greenhouses shaped as bubbles (or clouds, maybe?) that are the symbol of the place. One recreating a rainforest and another a Mediterranean area. I must say the latter felt familiar, with the citrus and olive trees, and the rosemary, and sort of village square that made me think of summer fayres! There was also an sculpture of a man in a bike with a sign that said "almost virgin olive oil"

The entry is pricey but it gives you access for one year and I was pleased to find out you get a good discount if you live in Cornwall or Devon. We were joking about what would be the face of the employees when two Spanish and a Finnish showed up with a "Locals Pass", but we had our proofs of address and it went all smoothly, they didn't even check my ID!

I am now on the way to spend 15£ I have left on a M&S gift card and complete the rest of the weekly shop at either Sainsbury's or Lidl. So many choices! I skipped the grocery shop last week and at this point my fridge contains tofu, an apple, a chunk of red Leicester and two garlic cloves :D

I recently listened to a song that my parents and other relatives often refer to, "La bilirrubina" (bilirubin). @Carlos you may know that one. The message is sort of "I am ill with love and only your affection can cure me!" but not in a tragic way, in a funny one, and with a very upbeat music. I'd never heard the lyrics properly before, and was shocked that one line says "inject me your love like insulin"!
