Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all - 5.6 for me this morning which is unheard of. My TIR is now 97% which I've never had before and which does lead me to think that this sensor might be reading low - Oh well, I'll know next week when I replace it but for now I'm happy feeling angelic! @ColinUK we have the Cumbrian Clock Company near us at Acre and I went to a fascinating talk there where they were telling us that they got the job for repairing/rebuilding the Big Ben clock. They had it up here in Cumbria for over 4 years and it was top secret - no-one knew where it was in the country! He said it was funny when at one point they needed to hang the pendulums on a big scaffolding bridge outside and they were all armed with what their answers would be to inquisitive passers-by (footpath goes past it) but no-one asked! They have the contract to maintain it and are down there once a month or so. I've got a 1-1 puppy training session this morning and then taking my Mum somewhere this afternoon but haven't decided where yet. I'd love to go and look at snowdrops somewhere. Have a good day everyone x

Morning all hope you are all well. Didt post yesterday as back was so bad i couldt get out of bed

Morning lovelies

5.5 for me this morning, mood has nosedived a bit over the last few days so its a self care kinda day today I think.

Hope you all have a good day and a smashing weekend 🙂

7.3 this morning after a much better sleep last night - one of the best sleeps I have had in quite a few days. Had a good chat with colleagues about a few things yesterday and feel much better for it. Don't know why I get so stressed about doing these things - I've known them all for so many years and we are all intelligent, approachable adults but I have always found it difficult to fight my corner. I can fight other people's very well but I struggle expressing how I feel oftentimes.

The boy is really struggling though. One of the SEN teachers at his school thinks he may have Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria. This is a relatively newly identified subset of ADHD and the description of it fits him very well. School are largely very good but IO do have to fight hard. Luckily the SEN teacher I mentioned really likes him and really likes my wife and I and has been a massive help in getting the appropriate support in place.

Not much on this weekend. WFH today and will get out flying maybe Sunday and spend tomorrow tidying the garden up ready for spring.

08:55 BS 6.5 In the immortal words of Bagga Chips “Much Better!” :D

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m awake but, feeling like an easy, lazy lie-in in bed & will leisurely catch up on this thread’s posts laters! A Smiley Long Stretchy Yawn! I just feel LEISURELY today! o_O

Good morning! Route 6.6 for me this morning after a disturbed night when I wanted a undisturbed one...

... as silly o'clock Ophthalmology appointment.

Cloudy after yesterday's sunshine but suits eye drops! 🙂

Actually dropped to 3.9 and back up to a HS while getting ready.

Now late as still waiting for transport and going Lo as a result of early breakfast and racing metabolism after yesterday!

4.3 this morning, back into my usual range. So far the reduced basal seems to be working well and fewer lows during the day, so we’ll see how it goes over the next few days.

@ColinUK - glad you had a good birthday! Big Ben must have been fascinating!

@goodybags - posting on here, rants included, are good for the poster and for others as it helps us all appreciate we are not alone and working through this together. Sharing our thoughts, frustrations and successes is what is best about this forum. I have had so much help from just reading about others experiences as well as being able to vent when life gets on top of us at times.

Pleased to report the replacement freezer was good, the delivery guys even unpacked it for us to show that everything was ok. Instructions left with Dad to turn it on after 4 hours so today we’ll pop in (again!) and move the food from the garage freezer into it. Not planning to stay longer than doing just that as to be honest we need some time for ourselves. Yesterday was painful as Mum and Dad were sniping at each other, understandable as they both must be tired and frustrated at their decreasing ability to manage anything. We will have the talk about getting care in place next week when things will hopefully have settled down a bit.

Take care everyone!

Have you got your dates mixed up?o_O

We’ve all been there; don’t know what day it is? :confused:o_O:rofl:
I'm sure Alexa told me it was Saturday first thing this morning. 😱

I completely understand that. The last 6 odd weeks we haven’t spent any quality time together. Even Christmas was spent hospital visiting. We’ve told the family we’re closed for business this weekend, apart from Eden’s birthday party on Sunday! We’ve got some lovely meals planned, all our favourites as we feel our meals have been just thrown together latterly. We have a hotel break to look forward to next weekend, this was originally booked for beginning of January but when Mr Eggy’s mother was admitted to hospital we moved it on, thinking she’d be out of hospital or at least in a care home by the time it came up. We need it even more now. Self care is crucial. Try and relax. Hugs to you both.

I'm with @Quill on the 5.5 step this morning, which started off grey and wet but is a little brighter now, and it's stopped raining. Was going to press on with sorting out our downed fence and bagging up some more honeysuckle today but it all looks a bit wet and muddy down there so maybe not. I'll do what I can, in between the usually Friday grocery shop.

Our youngest feels he's OK to return to work on Sunday and he's been told to come in at his usual 8am start time and they'll take it from there, bearing in mind he still shouldn't be lifting anything. He got paid yesterday and we were pleased to see SSP on his payslip, as he hasn't been there long enough to get paid sick leave. What we don't know yet is if they plan to keep him on, as he was employed on a 3-month seasonal contract that runs out next week. He'd like to stay so fingers crossed.

@dannybgoode - our youngest was SEN on account of a genetic condition. His primary school were really good at supporting him, as was college, but his secondary school were rubbish. Some of his teachers didn't know he was SEN, with some of those that did not knowing why. Hope your boy gets all the support he needs, all the way through.

Congrats @Grannylorraine on your HS

Enjoy Poet's Day, everyone, whatever you're doing.

Morning all it was a 9.3. I was struggling to understand why until I checked my levemir pen. Guess who forgot his evening basal! That being the case I would have expected a higher reading.

Not much planned for today. Songs to work on, tidying and shopping.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone. A grey damp start here but a happy 5.4 for me earlier this morning so no complaints here.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

6.8 for me today. still snotty, coughing and a bit wheezy but still managing to lug feed half a mile up the hill on my back several times a day for the horses, so can't be that bad. 🙄

I had a frustrating day yesterday as I got a call from a farmer friend to say that a van had gone through my field wall, where the horses are. Of course I still don't have transport, so had to hot foot it up the hill with nothing to transport fencing materials, so wondering if I was going to be stuck there all day keeping GGs in, until Ian was finished work and could come and help. The van was still in situ when I got there. It had been parked in the pub car park across the road, where the driver (an electrician) has been repairing damage to the pub from another runaway vehicle on Boxing Day, which demolished the porch and corner of the pub. He had parked it up on a steep incline first thing in the morning when brakes were hot and left it with just the handbrake holding it and lots of heavy materials in the back and not left it in gear. It was a cold frosty morning and brake discs would be hot and expanded when he parked and applied the handbrake and then gradually contracted during the morning in the cold until the brake was no longer able to hold the weight of the van and the van rolled backwards down the hill, across the road, thankfully not hitting anyone, and into my wall, which has been demolished numerous times before in similar incidents. The guy said he had never been taught to leave it in gear!! Lucky no one was injured but very frustrating as I now have a load of chasing up to do to get it fixed. I am just a tenant for that field, but it falls to me to sort it. I thought perhaps with the company he works for being builders, they might come and put it right themselves, but as he said, it is the best part of a weeks work, so it will likely have to go through insurance and will no doubt take months and in fact he initially suggested I would have to foot the bill!!
Relieved the horses hadn't been hurt or got out, but just really annoyed that this is a recurring problem and sooner or later it will result in my horses getting injured or indeed a member of the public getting hurt or killed! Do people have no common sense anymore! Grrh!
