Group 7-day waking average?

After that very long missive earlier, I forgot to mention that granddaughter failed her test, right at the last minute she almost went through red lights at a pedestrian crossing. She’s very upset with herself. But we did have good news yesterday, youngest daughter and son in law have finally found their dream home, viewed it yesterday morning and offered the fulll asking price and it was accepted. Halla blooming lulah. They’ve looked at so many I was beginning to think they’d lose the buyers for theirs. Fingers crossed it all goes well. :D

Morning all - what an awful night. Thankfully we were snug and safe and had no power cuts. The sea is thrashing and huge waves over the lighthouse at the end of Newlyn Pier. Wind and rain has abated somewhat this morning.

7.2 this morning. Now I've been back in manual mode for a week and see patterns it's time I had a good look at my basals and did some tweaking. I hated the wimpy HCL using Omnipod 5 and Libre 2+. It left a lot to wish for.

So, marmalade day today, soon as I've got brunch under our belts! There's left over Normandy Pork for dinner so I can concentrate on marmalade.

Hoping those affected by electricity cuts are now back on... @Bexlee glad to hear you are sorted. I am sure some of these drivers delivering to pharmacies don't treat it with the respect it deserves.

@eggyg you are a blooming saint!

@Lisa65 I have administered 3 lots of redundancies, so if I can be of any help please let me know, two at a previous place of employment and one when Julian and I had to close down a club which had 4 employees when we were trustees of the board. It's not nice at all, but it helps everyone if the correct procedure is followed - though it doesn't sound like your employer has followed the correct route at all.

Have a good day all...

Ha! They’ve just left. I said to Brian, quick, shut the door before they come back!
I’ve sat down but I really need to bake, I’ve a houseful tomorrow as the family gather to organise the funeral with the undertaker. Plus the place is a tip! 😱 I’ll have five minutes first!

5.6 for me this morning and feel embarrassed to mention that I had a very long lie in, when @eggyg was slaving over a hot stove catering to the waifs and strays. Unfortunately there is once again a lot of red on my overnight graph despite no evening Levemir for nearly a week now and a couple of JBs through the night. Slept well though, as usual. I now seem to have a new personal worst of 12% below range for the past 7 days, but I have adjusted my Levemir as far as I can, so think a certain amount of that is my body just being where it wants to be for the amount of exercise I am doing and Libre reading a bit lower than actual BG. I certainly don't feel bad for it or sleep poorly and I am not going seriously low.
Unfortunately I have come down with a cold virus, no doubt picked up from someone at the arena the other night. It is the only time I have had any real contact with people. No big deal as I am otherwise fit, but surprising that even a virus hasn't prevented the overnight lows. I am well stocked up with Lidl equivalent of Lemsips, which I find comforting and effective, but will be getting plenty of fresh air too as GGs still need looking after.

No sign of a storm here yet and hoping it missed us.

@PattiEvans he certainly hasn't followed procedure, the rapid closure is due to his being deemed by CQC, after being arrested, not a fit and proper person to be the nominated individual, but he refused to let his daughter take over. So they closed the home and our registration expires on Feb 10th,although the residents will be long gone by then. So I guess he couldn't give us the statutory period of notice, which means he will have to give us payment in lieu.

It's horrible because it is all so unnecessary. He could have handed control over to his daughter, continued to take his money every month, and had a nice life! As it is, he will probably end up with nothing by the time he's paid off the mortgage and any other creditors.

Gingerbread made, Burns supper made ( by Mr Eggy), house still a tip! That’s tomorrow morning’s job. If all goes to plan we have a full day of doing nowt on the 35th Janovemruary 2057!

Weren’t you meant to be doing a meal for all of us when we come to visit then? Or was that the 36th of Janovemruary? 😉

Good morning/moaning! Took my last antibiotics of the day and went to bed half-an-hour later only to wake a short while ago with Phantom Pain that has not been an issues for a few days )even started to wonder if they were suppressing the pain?). Dont really need it as early doors Podiatry. BG 6.1.

Drizzle on kitchen window.

Sorry the phantom pain has reared its ugly head again @MikeyBikey

6.4 here after being woken up at 3 by the dog, again. I don't think she's so much desperate to go out, I think she just gets bored and wants a bit of company, little mare!
I'm a fitful sleeper at the best of times so I don't mind sitting downstairs and having a coffee for a bit, before heading back to bed for an hour or two later.
I am not working today, but I'm going to pop round later to say goodbye to the residents who are leaving today, and find out if there's any updates on our notice letters or anything.

Good morning - 4.0

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all. 5.4.

Funeral director and the brothers and wives coming at 2pm, so a tidy up in order after the kids’ sleepover. I’ve not even looked in their bedrooms or the bathroom, we just use our en-suite, the bedrooms I can shut the doors if need be, but unfortunately I can’t do that with the bathroom! No doubt there’ll be toothbrushes lying everywhere, they have their own here, toothpaste all over the basin and if I’m really lucky all over the mirror! I’ll get Mr Eggy on the case, he’s better at that than me. 😉 I’ll Hoover.

The farmers still don’t have power, NW Electricity are now saying tomorrow! They got a lovely takeout meal from their local pub last night, this is funded by NWE I have since found out. So probably the same again tonight. Daughter is fairly sure they’ve lost the contents of the freezer. She hasn’t opened it yet but today is day 4.🙄 I’m sure they can claim on their household insurance but still a pain in the neck when you’re a family of five living in the middle of nowhere!

Have a Happy Monday.

7.8 this morning. Was a little cautious with my NR at tea so popped in a small correction at bed. Could probably have time with another 0.5U.

But hey, 7.8 will do.

Have a video call at work later with what could be a key partner so have to be on form for that. Treated myself to a nice shave with one of my favourite straight razors last night so I'm fully shorn and ready to go.

Short run in the training calendar tonight and then morse code class.

Morning a 6.1 for my recent good run has come to an end as I was quite low so 4.4 going to bed and seemed stable so had a cereal bar and as I slept really well I noticed it rose peaking at 11 at 3 in the morning and then falling gently.
Another reminder we don’t get it right was we went to a garden centre for coffee and cake and I took my insulin only 2u ahead whilst in car park rather than waiting for food to arrive( did notice it was quiet but thought only as it was a wet Sunday morning).Anyway we found out the reason was the offer shop was closed for refurbishment and yes I could easily correct with a biscuit etc but another reminder that expect the unexpected.
Anyway have cards appointment at 8.30 just to check out my calf pain which really am not worried about as hardly feel it and then a Dentist trip this afternoon but otherwise quiet.

Morning all. 7.7 for me - a little on the high side. Also, I appear to be having an instance of FOTF, so it looks like it will be a bit of a rocky start to the day. Taking my friend to the hospital today to have her stitches removed. After that I have to refill a prescription. That will be enough excitement for one day. Might try another baking experiment in the afternoon if time permits.
