Group 7-day waking average?

5.3 this morning. Went round to see my sister yesterday. Had steak pudding. Not the delicious homemade one we had when younger but shared a Fray Bentos one plus swede from the 15p Tesco Christmas deal. Reading was 7.2 last night.

When it's cold you need extra calories don't you?

Funny day with car as took it in for new tracking rods but they rang me at 3 saying could not do job as compressor was not working. Was not happy they let me know so late in day but the mechanic said I really did not need to rebook as they were not as bad as first told and would probably last another 6-9 months.
Thought would leave them and saved me some money well for a while anyway.
Hi, @Wendal, worn track rod (ends) can lead to accelerated tyre wear. So postponing their replacement might be cost inefficient. However:

Assessing the state of steering linkage can be very subjective. If someone uses a long enough lever, then even brand new factory fitted steering can be made to move sufficiently to infer that parts need renewing. I had a theoretically reputable service garage sending me a short video demonstrating worn track rod ends. Since I'd had a comprehensive steering alignment check with my new tyres only a few days before, I went back to the tyre provider, who demonstrated me how easy it was to manipulate the "evidence" on my car. Reassured by that I ignored the service garage report and no other MOT in the next 5 years have reported this problem. So your mechanic is possibly spot on, but worth asking "how bad" with increased tyre wear in mind. I know you seem to clock up a fair annual mileage.

[I did a lot of car repair work in my teens and 20s, as a hobby. I was lucky enough to have access to excellent facilities and had brief ownership of several interesting classic cars.]

Morning all. 7.5, a unicorn day yesterday and a straight line overnight, in target, albeit on the higher side.

@eggyg happy birthday to your grandson. Its my hubby's birthday today as well.

@ColinUK i'm looking forward to reading a CCC of Operation Mincemeat. We watched the film and thought about seeing the show.

Have a good day everyone. Its supposed to be warmer today although it doesn't feel like it atm.

A Heinz special (5.7) for me today. 🙂 Temperatures are expected to rise to double digits (well 11) today.

Good morning everyone

BG 5.4
BP elevated

Meeting with nurse this afternoon to have a health vpcheck. I will mention my raised blood pressure then and my painful hip.

Finished off the music recording of the new song yesterday (it took all day). Will try to do the vocals today.

Tea, last night, was good but simple. Friend came over to share it with us. He is very knowledgable about sound and music and gave me few pointers about editing music.

Hi Roland.Hope you are well and great to have the feedback.
The whole issue was raised by the garage a few weeks ago at MOT and was happy to have it done.I spoke to mechanic yesterday who they told me was more experienced than the original guy and said it was only slightly out but would get worse in time but probably 6-9 months.
Yes I do a lot of miles and will take your advice and maybe get a tyre place to check it out at some point.
I am in one of my happy phases at work where I am enjoying it so putting retirement thoughts at back of my mind but that can change if dark cold nights get bad.Am in Edinburgh next week for a Meeting so going by train but I will change my car on retirement but still not sure what to get.
I had a look at Audi Quattros as I had an RS2000 as a lad and just want something fun to drive but still, undecided.

5.4 this morning for me.

Dentist check up and hygienist appointments this afternoon, otherwise nothing much planned.

@Bloden - congratulations on your HS today!

Take care everyone!

Have you got Apple+? I don’t know if you’ll have enough ironing but Lessons in Chemisty is 8 episodes! Really enjoyed it. As you know I loved the book.
Ooh yes we have and as you know I loved that book (on your recommendation) - I'll give it a go xxx
ps: It's Tuesday now and as suspected I didn't do any ironing yesterday - let's see what today brings but I have a very important meeting with a masseuse at 2pm :D
