Group 7-day waking average?

Very late today, even for me! It's a nice day, but my goodness I have rarely seen such a thick frost in this part of the world.

7.3 this morning. Alarm was set for 7:30 but I was awake at 5:30 worrying about my MRI scan this morning and what I might need to take with me as I knew I'd have to remove my sensor and was pretty sure that'd apply to my pod as well. We are looking after a friend's campervan whilst she's in Spain for 3 months and she likes us to give it a run occasionally so we took it to this odd hospital that's in the middle of nowhere. I thought it'd be a struggle applying a new pod/sensor in the car, but the van would be more spacious. In the event it was so cold I couldn't bear baring any skin, so was home before I applied anything at all . BG rose to 12.1 after all ironmongery had been missing for an hour. I suppose that was not bad considering. I'd taken spares of everything with me, including a cartridge of Apidra, a pen and needles! I'm a worry-wart!

Sorry to hear of your falls @eggyg and @Docb hope you both recover quickly.

@eggyg love your photos... I do have to laugh a bit, you always look glam.. lippie even if you are hiking in the wilds of nowhere and unlikely to meet anyone but seals and birds!

@ColinUK glad to hear your mum and dad enjoyed their outing.

@Gwynn Congrats on your HS.

Now....off to get the Xmas tree down and stuff packed away into the loft for another year.

Have a good one all!

Standards darling, standards. 😉 I quite often don’t have any eye makeup on if I know I’ll be wearing sunglasses. But I always have to have my lippy on!

Good morning/moaning! BG 8.6. The Phantom Pain of yesterday evening subsided and I went to bed around 11:00 only to be woken by it striking back with a powerful burning sensation on top of the foot as if an oxy-acetylene torch is being played across the foot (I was going to say bunsen burner but suspect younger readers may be unfamiliar with them as apparently some schools around my area do not allow then for Health and Safety reasons). Waiting for second dose of pain killers to kick in.

Morning all. 7.7, which is high for me. Suspect the kids’ colds have eventually got to me, started last night with the snotty nose. 🙄

Awake since 4, just couldn’t get comfy. Last night I felt hopeful for the bum injury, I pottered about all day and it felt looser, was able to get up stairs quicker, using the loo wasn’t as painful, but obviously being in bed it’s all stiffened up again. I can only describe the pain of sitting down is that it’s like sitting on a piece of Lego! I am currently perched on my kitchen sofa on my right buttock! More pottering about today but without children, Mr Eggy had to do the nappy changes and the heavy lifting yesterday! 11month old Eden is a chunk! She’s almost walking now, she stood on her own for quite a while yesterday then sat down! Not long now though and hopefully less carrying about needed!

Have a super Saturday, we’re nearly back to normal now! We’re planning on having a Sunday roast tomorrow to get us back on track with the days! 😉

I'm among the early risers today with a 4.5. 🙂It's bloomin' cold here with forecasts of snow, so we've got a delivery from Sainsbos due today with supplies of vital necessities (including a couple of bottles of wine). :D

Stay safe and well everyone.

Dez

@ColinUK which show was it? I know you've said before but i can't remember.
Guys and Dolls - Bridge Theatre

It’s an excellent show. Closes today to make way for Richard II starring Jonathan Bailey.

6.9 this morning.

In an entirely unpredictable turn of events I’m at the theatre this afternoon. I know, it’s such a rarity for me to go!

Seeing Merchant of Venice 1936 which has returned to London and is now playing in the West End.

It’s somewhat less joyous than Guys and Dolls.

After this I’ve got a bit of a break as the next thing in my calendar is (checks diary….) Tuesday! Then I’ve actually got a whole week without seeing any live anything on stage.

Good Morning 5.2

Stay Warm & Have a Super Smashing Saturday

8.4 this morning. Happy enough. Got to go shopping today for my son - he's going on the school ski trip in a few days and there's a kit list as long as your arm!

Think he's a bit nervous about it but hopefully he'll enjoy it. My wife is a bit nervous about it too! We're not used to him not being around. He's barely even had sleepovers at friends.

Morning lovelies, 8.7 for me this morning :(
Haven’t done anything different so not too sure why.
Going to get up and get some water in me and see if that helps.

[Edit: 8am - 6.7]

Mr Quill has the weekend free before starting his new Mon-Fri shift so it’s looking like a Christmas tree down and tidy up today, very dull.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend 🙂

Morning all. 5.3 for me on waking after a flat night. Weird morning yesterday, with what appears to have been an extreme episode of FOTF. It took me several hours to stabilise my blood sugar. But, once it settled down, the rest of the day was quite fine.

Very jealous, that is going to be an incredible watch! Have the absolute best time!

My last was National Theatre’s Macbeth a few years ago, so so good, unfortunately don’t get to go much these days.

6.9 for me.
I need to get back to stopping eating by 8pm - that seems to give me my best control overnight.
Anyhow, working Saturday for me. Have a good weekend everyone.

8.3 which will probably be the 5 M&S truffle chocs I had before bed, although I did take some Fiasp with them so actually through the night I had a nice flat line, just a bit high. My brother always fills up a huge jar of them at Christmas (they're wrapped in pretty foil wrappers) and I always end up finishing them off near the end as everyone has left. Was meant to be taking Elsa (puppy) to her first puppy class today but it's been cancelled due to low numbers which is very disappointing. There's another really good dog trainer who lives in the valley just below us and I've signed up with her now but hers are 1-1 sessions so a bit different, but I know we'll get a lot out of it. Pup is growing (4kg in 4 weeks!) and a big ball of fluff. We're expecting a deluge of snow tonight and tomorrow and so will probably be snowed in up on our hill. I've been shopping so we don't starve, although that wasn't likely! Have a good day everyone xxx

Good morning everyone

BG 5.1 close

Talking of tripping. We have quite a steep hill between ourselves and town. A couple of years ago it was icy. Going up the hill was fine. Coming down was fine too until I raised my head to greet a shop owner, and down I went...heavily. incredibly no damage. A bit embarrassed tho. So I am extra careful now if it is icy.

Yesterday, sorting out old images of dogs (14000). Today, yippee, sorting out new images of dogs. At least it keeps me off my feet and is allowing my hip to heal.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning all. 10.8 here. It’s the diabetes Hokey Cokey!

It’s definitely warmed up overnight - the car windscreens on the street were white when I went to bed, but they’re clear this morning. Phew! I hate icy pavements.

Lots to do today and tomorrow before getting back in the classroom on Monday!

He’ll love it and it’ll do you both good to start to let him off the reins a bit more too I’m sure. You’ll miss him being at home of course but the food bill will be less whilst he’s away no doubt!
