Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning. 6.4 on this damp and mild day.

Busy week ahead, as per. We’re getting a new bed on Wednesday, I’m very excited. It’s been weeks since I ordered it, months actually, it was August. Sealy Posturepedic Elevate Gel Cool Mattress and ottoman. A mouthful I know. Today we’re clearing out underneath our current bed, moving a bedside cabinet and a bookcase at the top of the stairs. We have a quirky twisty staircase, and double landing, neither of which are big! I don’t think it’ll be an easy delivery! 🙄 They will probably have to lift it over the bannister. They are sending us a two hour delivery slot tomorrow, just hope it’s not 8-10am as we have to dismantle our bed! We could sleep in the kids bunk beds the night before! Bagsy the bottom!

Have a Happy Monday.

Morning all. 12.0 for me - that’ll be last night’s pasta. I can eat pasta during the day, but not in the evening, it seems...love you, diabetes!

Yesterday was such a beautiful day! Today it’s grey, windy, drizzling...a perfect day for catching up on life admin. Oh good LOL.

Morning all. 6.8. Yestrrday afternoon levels rose suddenly and stayed in the 12-14 for a few hours despite corrections. Finally came down to 10s when i went to bed, still higher than i wanted but i couldn't have any more insulin. Highs a result of a lazy day or flu jab? Who knows...

Today, i'm meeting older daughter for a coffee this morning. I shall walk there, its uphill so i'll get exercise. This afternoon i'm going to see a very good friend. Should be a nice day.

It looks very aurumnal outside today. Wet and a bit breezy with a bit of sun making the tree leaves look golden.

Have a lovely day everyone.

GM to one and all.

4.9 for me. On my bike exercising my dodgy knee, no great plans for today.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Good morning - 4.0

Half term this week.

Have a great day everyone.

5.1 for me today. 🙂 For some reason this year the extra hour has made me sleep longer.

Dez

5.4

@Eternal422 Sorry to hear about your sister in law’s diagnosis. Cancer is always scary when it’s written but if it was aggressive they’d have called rather than written I’m sure.
The oncologist will likely refer her to Macmillan for advice and support etc but they’re there to provide information and support now so if she’s panicking then get her to call and speak with someone.

5.8 this morning for me. Dropped to 4.7 at the moment but the porridge hasn’t kicked in yet! Needs to be a bit higher as we’re off on our penultimate day at Hatton Locks today (the volunteer lock keeping season ends this week).

@ColinUK - many thanks for the suggestion about Macmillan, I’ll suggest this to her. Dr Google suggests a simple excision is needed and it’s rare for it to have spread further than the skin into bones, etc. so we’re staying positive!

Have a good day everyone!

Morning Eternal,
Echo Colin’s best wishes for your SiL and obviously I do not know the diagnosis but it seems like you are talking about a skin cancer. If and I stress if it is a BCC or SCC lesion then normally a simple excision is required.
I have had about 3 removed and my wife had one done about a month ago and both of us have made complete recoveries as day patients. The surgery on two of mine was performed at my local GPs and I know it can be a very worrying time but the prognosis on these two types is extremely good even if picked up relatively late as they are very slow growing.
Again all of ours were probably present for up to 6-12 months as we considered they were something else and apart from the inevitable concern when the C word is mentioned they are quite routine.
Good luck

Morning All - 7.2. Well, amazingly my hubby, son & friend came first in their 2 day mountain marathon and got on the podium (out of 200 teams in their category). It is such a huge achievement. My other son and friend did really well too coming 33rd (beating his Uncle & Cousin by 4 points). Lots of hobbling going on this morning and eldest has had to get in his car to drive back down to Oxfordshire as his wife has gone to London and left their pup in his cage (he's fine). In other news, I had my first experience of a near insulin induced hypo yesterday evening. I was about to serve up Shepherd's pie when suddenly realised I hadn't done my Novorapid so guesstimated and gave myself 5 units. About an hour later I started to feel a bit strange and saw that my BG was at 4.7 and going down. Went down to 4.2 and I grabbed some jelly babies. I sat at the kitchen table and messaged my son to say what was happening (he was in another room). He sweetly came down and sat with me and then I had a bowl of crisps (didn't feel like a biscuit) and it eventually started creeping up. I'm meeting @eggyg tomorrow so hopefully she'll give me a bit of guidance being such an "old pro" 😉Have a lovely day everyone. We've got some friends coming to stay here tonight on their way to Scotland which will be lovely as they haven't been to our new home yet. xxx PS: pic of the winning team on the podium - I think the second place team must have had a sense of humour failure and left early

Good morning all 4.8 for me , hope everyone's ok and wishing you all a good day 🙂

Morning everyone, it’s a 4.9 for me on this rather cloudy and looks like it’s going to rain sometime soon.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

Morning all and 6.0 for me

I think I'm taking Mrs khskel to hobby craft today as she has a voucher to use.

Next job for me is to find my phone which I've put down somewhere.

Have a good day everyone.

Back in the 5s with a 5.8 this morning, which unlike yesterday is dull and grey although still surprisingly mild. If it stays dry I might rake up some leaves. Our Wedding Cake Tree has shed all its leaves, our flowering cherry and Magnolia are not far behind and our Lilac has just started. Garden waste collection isn't until a week on Thursday so plenty of time to fill some bags.

Our eldest's futsal team are up to 3rd in the table after winning yesterday. Bolton away next, though not for a couple of weeks, but we won't be going to watch that one. They'll probably travel up the night before as it's a 10:20 KO.

My least favourite day of the week today (3 WFH) so might book a swim later rather than tomorrow, just to keep out of the way.

Congrats @Grannylorraine on your HS

Have a good start to the week, everyone.

Good morning - well, what a difference a day makes. Yesterday was so lovely and sunny. Today it's misty and drizzling and generally very miserable.

7.4 this morning.

Had a nice walk yesterday along the coast path towards Marazion. Unfortunately I put a pair of boots on, logic being that they had thicker soles than the light leather sneakers I have been wearing. Not worn them since last winter and I ended up with a blister under my big toe, in the soft part near the joint with my sole. It's not painful this morning, but obviously I shall be keeping an eye on it.

Photos are of Marazion and St Michael's Mount with a rather dodgy horizon line. I used to have software to correct this, but lost it when I got my laptop as it was on a disk and my laptop doesn't have a disk drive.

Not much on today except a grocery shop - this usually involves 2 supermarkets. But deffo need some green veg! Dinner will be leftovers from last night's roast pork and fennel, with something or other green as we ate up all the carrots roasted with cumin seeds.

@zippyjojo have a look at the BERTIE carb counting course online... I found it very helpful. Congratulations to your hubby, son and friend.

@Eternal422 wishing your SIL a good recovery.

@Grannylorraine congratulations on your HS and glad your granddaughter's party went well

Have a good day all....
