Group 7-day waking average?

Morning everyone, a grey but dry start to the day here just for a change.

BG today comes in at a happy 6.1 for me. Have a great day folks and stay well.

Morning all and 5.9 for me which did require a couple of glucose stops during the night. I think another basal tweak may be in order.

Back garden covered in leaves so definitely some sweeping and bagging in order.

Happy midday all! Out the front it's grey but out the back there's a lot of blue sky.

7.9 when I got up at 7.45. No idea why and the HCL is supposed to correct to 6.1. It obviously hadn't!

Not much on today except a quick trip to the supermarket for some bread and a quick trip to B&M looking for something on which we can drain coffee pods so they can be recycled by Morrisons. Also call into the glass shop to find out how much it would cost to replace the somewhat scratched coffee table top. Would replace the whole coffee table, but can't find one in the right size which is rather large.

Was a 6.3 for me this morning.Winds died down .No fences down Have to check out the back later least the concrete plinth above the upstairs dorma window hasn't come crashing down through kitchen roof ( yet ) Congratulations to@goodybags on your Hs.Well better switch blue tooth off before phone dies .Stay safe folks
 
@PattiEvans it's the Tawny Hotel in Staffordshire. In the grounds of what used to be a hall, the grounds were designed by a previous owner to provide views - he acquired follies from all over the UK and beyond to create places where you could see the grounds

Late posting for me today, 6.4 on waking.

We rushed off straight away after breakfast to Hatton Locks for our first shift in about a month, thanks to holiday in Ireland and then being ill for the past couple of weeks. But, we managed it and helped 5 boats in total, although not all the way through the flight as there thankfully were another couple of volunteers helping. Decided not to push our luck with health and left after lunch to spend a quiet afternoon. That was until Dad called to say Mum had fallen. So that was the afternoon taken care of, luckily she was ok and hadn’t hurt herself thankfully.

Ohhh that's so scary, for everyone, your mum, your Dad and you! Hope she can get some help to stop the falls.
 
Evening all. 10.1 agh self-inflicted. I'm now trying to do one meal a day. It's very hard. I broke out the big cauli but forgot to take a picture and I couldn't find a banana for comparison. I meant to use my head but then hunger overcame me and I forgot. BG should be lower tomorrow then. 🙂

Funeral to attend this morning. The friendship group I was part of when I was a kid, I’m still in contact with some of them. One couple, the wife lost her father on Sunday so I’m going to his funeral.

In other news I booked a break away at the end of November. Gran Canaria. Nothing at all posh or refined about this one. It was great value and I just want some sun. It’ll be my first time flying easyJet or any low cost carrier tbh so I’ve booked extra legroom seats and a hotel room at Gatwick the night before as it’s a 7:30am flight. I’m intending to hire a car for a few days and head up into the mountains but I might end up just doing sod all apart from sitting in the sun and reading.

On that note, anyone else a Kindle user and intrigued by the newly announced colour version?
 
Morning a 7.6 for me but took 3 Dextrose and a small biscuit just after going to bed after it went low and then a gentle rise.
Quiet day yesterday and will venture to Liverpool today but back early as wife having a small surgical procedure at local GPs.
Then have an on line Meeting tonight where I just have to watch and listen apart from having to say a few words about happy to come in and bring Do Nuts etc and have a chat.
Always a bit ironic as the messages are about promoting good health and there I am promising Trick and Treat (well no Tricks involved but plenty of Treats).
Whether low carb or high carb have a good day.
 
Morning all and I’m on the 6.8 step with @Lily123.

Back to normal today ie up at the crack, no where to go and no one to see, so why? I have got lots to do and mind whirring as per. We have a birthday in the family, one of the hordes is 12 today. We exchanged presents on Sunday when she was staying over, and I’ll send her a message before school. Its usually half term on her birthday but it’s late this year, half term that is, not her birthday!

Got washing dried outside yesterday, similar forecast today so will do another load and get that out, must get the tumble dryer fixed as I think my days of hanging the washing out are numbered! Haven’t even looked in the spare bedrooms after the mass sleepover, I’ll peek in today and depending how bad they are I’ll either shut the doors or tidy up! Lots of cooking today to tide us over the next day or so, I’m going out for lunch tomorrow with my recently widowed friend so will be out a while. She gets very lonely. It’s very sad.

So, a busy day, but at least I don’t have to feed the five thousand or change dirty nappies! Silver linings and all that.

@ColinUK you can’t beat a bit of winter sun. Been to Gran Canaria just the once many years ago, and we hired a car and went up into the mountains, I remember the road just stopped dead! So we turned back, but brilliant views. Oh and watch out for unexpected nudist beaches, we had the kids with us and got a bit of a shock! 😛
 
1000006645.jpgNot a frequent occurrence for me but happy with that. Gentle line all night too so my home made burgers /low carb burger buns worked well as a meal. No ill effects from the vaccines so far - although my flu arm is a little sore!

Good morning everyone

BG 4.9

A super tea last evening. My friend came over and a good time was had.

It was a lovely day weather wise yesterday, my wife had to drop something off at the hospital, I suggested that we go for a walk, but she just couldn't do it, her fear of intruders getting into the house overwhelmed her (or it could be her determined bullying to get significantly better house security (it is already very good). We went through this scenario a long while back and I refused then on the grounds that it would not change how she felt (and it was therefore a waste of money). But eventually I relented, we got some pretty good security... guess what the result was ... yes, she still believes we have intruders getting in, so she cannot leave the house 'empty'. So we have no life together outside of the house. Worst thing is that she hates this and desperately wants to go out with me to enjoy our life together. But this 'thing' is wrecking our life together. Sad. So sad. And let's be honest, I am so fed up, annoyed, upset, frustrated, tired... and so is she!!!

Sorry for the rant.

Today lots of keyboard practice.

Good morning 6.9 today
I knew it wasn’t going to be a HS for me today, following a bit of a binge out last night which spiked my levels up to 14 (just as I went to sleep) think I need to speak to my GP regarding Mounjaro which for me (and most) is a once a week jab, currently I'm finding after 6 days I’m ready for my next dose, maybe thats my body telling me need to increase to a slightly bigger dose.

Podiatrist appointment this morning, it’s just a routine appointment.
I’ve been under that foot tickler (at my surgery) since I had the ulcers on my toes a few years ago, quite scary thinking back when my toes matched the colour of my shoes.
the last time I saw her she fitted some temporary adjustments to my orthotic inner soles so that in addition to their original purpose now they would help to correct my stance, she did say that following my ankle surgery I might have fractionally unequal leg length, so it’s good I’m under her I think.

Congrats on the HS @BobbleHat hope the new job is going OK

Good morning! So near, so far at 5.3 that became 4.6 FOTF! Please as in double figures last night despite eating very little as stomach still not right after latest round of anti-biotics! :( Get latest swab results tomorrow. (fingers crossed emoji)

Physio/OT type visit in a bit. As it has been re-scheduled multiple times will believe it when it happens.

Cooler still and mainly overcast.
