Good morning

BG 5.3

Church last night was good. I was playing and leading worship. Quite an experience.

So tired by the end of the night that I slept through until 8am this morning!!!

Today, rest, exercise, food, more rest.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Been awol with a bad cold/cough/virus since getting back from Ireland, today is the first day my BG has been anywhere near normal at 4.9. Still feeling rough and just hoping I can shake this soon!

@Grannylorraine - hope you feel better soon too!

@goodybags - congratulations on your HS.

Take care everyone!

Morning all. Wish I had a mobile that I could do posts from. By the time I've got this bag of spanners laptop fired up it puts me off posting. :(

8.0 @ 7.19am but ate a lot of Jamaican food yesterday. The restaurant is just too darned handy. 🙂 I'm a sucker for the goat rice and beans.

Everyone knows the only biscuit to have with tea is
Chocolate digestive! Well it was back in the days when i ate biscuits.

Morning all. 11.3 and i've been in the high teens all night, despite corrections. It must be the cold meds i took yesterday but i did feel rough all day. I've slept for 11 hours as well!! I don't feel as rough today (yet) so hopefully that was the worst day. Nothing planned for today apart from changing the bed and getting some washing done.

@Grannylorraine and @Eternal422 i hope you both feel better soon.

@eggyg great photos! We have too much light pollution around here, we've no chance of seeing them.

@goodybags congrats on the HS.

Have a nice day everyone. The sun is shining here but its cold.

5.6 for me on a bitterly cold Berkshire morning. 1.4 degrees on our garden thermometer so decided to drive down to Morrisons, then found the car was iced up - and I mean ice, not frost. Luckily I found a can of de-icer in the boot but I had to spray the windscreen 3 times before it was clear.

CH engineer is here, fitting a new Actuator, so hopefully we will have our CH working again shortly, and not a moment too soon.

Saw the Northern Lights for the first time yesterday. They're not usually visible this far south but according to the BBC this morning they could be seen as far south as the Channel Islands. My wife took a picture on her phone.

Flu jab this afternoon and I'll go with my wife when she does her Friday dog-walk after work. Before all that it's the usual Friday Big Shop and trip out to the greengrocer at our local garden centre.

Update:- We've heard from my wife's friend in Florida and her and her husband are safe and now looking to come home. They were originally evacuated from St Petersburg to St Augustine but then moved again, this time to Tampa, where they were placed in a Sheraton. They said the whole experience was a bit scary. No point in trying to continue with their holiday. In any case the last thing the authorities need right now is tourists.

@Grannylorraine - hope you feel better soon

@goodybags - congratulations on the HS.

Whatever your plans, enjoy your day.

Morning everyone it’s a fine sunny day here and with a happy 5.1 it’s looking good for the weekend, at the moment!

Have a good everyone and stay well.
.

Morning all and 6.4 for me. I seem to have escaped any side effects from the jabs yesterday except a slightly sore arm.

A fine bright day and the leaves are beginning to turn. It'll soon be time to sweep and bag. Got all last year's leaf mold on the borders.

Have a good day everyone.

@PattiEvans I’m sure it’s not really dementia, but just the stress we are all under these days, although I think I did see something online somewhere recently (or did I just dream it)
that there may be a link between Diabetes and I can’t remember if it was Dementia or Alzheimer's
I get so confused myself anyway .. 😉
there is hope I am sure for us all (possibly)
I do apologise, I meant my post as a joke. I don't really think I'm getting dementia, just hopelessly absent minded sometimes as I'm thinking about something else instead of focussing on what I'm doing. The sweater actually looks the same whichever way you wear it and there are no labels which would indicate the "wrong way".

Afternoon all - what a glorious day it is here in West Cornwall.

5.8 this morning. I am thrilled with that! Looks like the HCL may have actually learned something after all as I've been 100% in range for the last 36 hours. Though my lunch sandwich of bacon and avocado has already scuppered it.

Going out tonight to a friend's house. He is doing a tapas night. We've been told to wear something "Spanish" - hmmm have dragged out a top with a frill round the hem.... not worn it for about 3 or more years. The only thing in my wardrobe which resembles anything like a flamenco outfit!

@eggyg once again super photos.

@Grannylorraine and @Eternal422 hope you both feel better soon!

@goodybags congrats on the HS.

Be good all, and if you can't then be careful!

Was a 4.7 for me this morning.Had to do a blood test as my battery on phone died in middle of night ( again ) When this sensor finishes next Wednesday going over to the libre monitor I got from diabetes unit on Wednesday.Any body tell me if I start the sensor on the meter., will I still be able to use phone as well.. Congratulations to @goodybags on your Hs today . Have a good day folks

Had a bit of a shock today my estranged sister sent me a message on Facebook to say Dad had died on Wednesday
to be honest I am a bit numb, he had Dementia for the last 5 years and was in a care home he was 96 years old the last time I spoke to her was when I was in Hospital last August, my dad was in at the same time with an infection but I wasn't aware, and she didn't even tell him I was in the same hospital, I only found out by chance when she decided to visit me as my daughter told her I was ill and she said he was in hospital, ive always been the black sheep of the family, anyway I am rambling now sorry for ranting, seems odd to put my BS this morning but it was 4.7

Morning all. And a 5.2! I like this new sensor.

And it’s the weekend again, blimey, it’s nearly Christmas, I really should get cracking but I’ve two granddaughters with birthdays first, one an 18th! That’s my job this weekend to start, at least, to think about birthdays and Christmas! 🙄

Have a super Saturday.

Good morning everyone.

Up early this morning at 4am but I have been writing lyrics until now...

BG 5.2 sounds good.

Today helping at the church doing the sound for the ladies breakfast!!! Later, practice and hopefully a walk.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

@Pam123 I’m sorry for your loss and that you found out about it like this.

Morning and a 5.1 for me after a decent line overnight and lucky to be able to judge it reasonably well after our Friday Pizza.
Two lunches planned for w/ end and a repeat of last week and my annual sweeping up of the leaves ( well several days) as the weather changes. We do have a lovely huge Purple Beech tree in front garden which gives great cover fir our dogs who hate the rain but there are a mountain of leaves.
I always hope for a strong wind to blow them across to the neighbours ( only joking).
Any Type 3cs may want to pick up on a new member of our “ Club”
