Group 7-day waking average?

Was a 4 5 for me this morning.Been to hospital to see the diabetes specialist.Very impressed with my control.Though with been on a low carb high protein diet I've put weight on.Didnt surprise me .Oh and I asked for a fibre 2 scanner as my phone battery hasn't got long left .Also a half unit insulin pen and a key tone machine.. Hope everyone is ok

Good morning everyone

BG a whopping 5.8
Blood pressure high too.

It must be the effort of getting ready to lead worship tonight at the church. I actually find it quite hard as I am a quiet man and naturally quite shy (well, content to sit in the background). Exciting tho

Today practicing the songs, practicing the songs, practicing the songs....

Have a great day today whatever you are doing.

Morning all.

6.1 and clearly in the foothills of OMG It’s Not A Cold, It’s Manflu/Mild Death mountain as I’m 100% coming down with something. HR has been up all night from the norm and so is wrist temp.

Hoping a healthy dose of good old fashioned paracetamol helps.

Turning to TV stuff, has anyone been watching Grotesquerie (Disney+)?
It’s only 4 episodes in the first season but boy what 4 episodes they are!
I’ve not real idea what’s going on but I’m hooked.

Morning a 7.2 for me but happy enough as another one of the“ monster carb” chippy teas that we love so much.
We have a decorator coming in today so letting the “ poltergeist” have a day off and moving the furniture around ourselves in preparation.
Hence running late and the last minute change of what to have for tea but it sends my BG spiralling as I have the full works and really hard to judge timing of NR but by hook or crook managed to stay mainly in range.
Off to Mold today so pretty routine day and then WFH tomorrow so nice gentle end to the week,
Enjoy all

Good morning. 4.7.

Up at the crack as it’s “Feed the hordes after you’ve helped with the swimming pick up/babysitting/bring one back to ours” day! ( Mr Eggy’s doing that). Three daughters, three youngest grandchildren, so “just” seven to feed, including us. It could have been worse, they were supposed to be all coming tomorrow, but we still had swimming pickup etc to do and then feed the swimmers today. Day off tomorrow now! We’re having a “picky” lunch today, lots of cheeses, including stinky Camembert, homemade smoked mackeral paté, home made mini cheese and onion pasties, various meats, mini loaded jacket potatoes, probably cheese and bacon, haven’t quite decided yet. All served with a variety of crackers, bread sticks, and French baguettes. I’ve got the French baguette dough on now, I will try, yet again ( think this is my fourth attempt), to make baguettes! They taste ok but I just can’t get them to look nice! I’d be useless on Bake Off! I’m not artistic at all, bit slapdash if truth be known!🙄

We only have “ normal” telly @ColinUK, apart from stolen Netflix, and an Apple TV box, so I can’t comment. The youngest of the family have Disney + as I found out the other week when Zara wanted to watch The Little Mermaid, I said we didn’t have it, she looked at me and announced quite crossly, “ It’s on Disney + Grandma”. that was me told! I eventually found it on Apple TV, it cost me about £16 to buy! Blimey, I can get a new release for way less than that!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning! Overslept but woke to HS!

Rushing as early doors physiotherapy this morning. Hope things flow smoothly like yesterday after Tuesday's transport nightmare! Struggling with walking as extra dressing as really limited sensation. And antibiotics having negative effect on digestion!.

Rain gently running down kitchen window.

@eggyg: love a 'picky' meal. Yours sounds lovely.

@MikeyBikey: Congrats on the HS.

6.2 for me and more supernumerary time shadowing a clinic for my new job. The job I can do easily enough - I have been doing it. Its moving somewhere new and learning the new guidelines and when to refer (and who to refer to( that takes the time. But, so far everyone has been very patient with me so that's good.

Morning all. 5.8. I feel like i'm coming down with something too, sniffly and tired. Also, i seem to have a problem with my back/hip/thigh/groin (not sure what the cause is) but i'm getting pain in my upper thigh/groin when i walk or move suddenly and i can't lie in bed comfortably. Hopefully paracetamol with see off the sniffles and ease the pain.

Eye test this morning and the weekly shop. Part of me would like new glasses as i've had these a while, the other parts says if you don't need them, don't have them, its a waste of money. We'll soon find out.

@eggyg i'll be there about 1 😉 . Have a good day everyone.

That sounds like what I had. Could be a couple of things, your sacrum is out or your psoas muscle needs stretched. Have you had problems before? Google exercises for psoas muscle. They’re just gentle, if you can, take ibuprofen with the paracetamols. If it doesn’t improve I would highly recommend an osteopath, not cheap, but definitely worth every penny. Hope it improves before you get to that point.

Oh and 1pm is fine, that’s the time the swimmers arrive. I’ll set another place. 😉

GoodMorning 6.9 today

I didn’t do much yesterday on my day off, apart from actually went to work (for a few hours in the morning) my decision my choice but it will make things easier later in the month
Thursdays & Fridays are a bit of a welcome lay in at the moment as Mrs G is currently off work every Thursday & Friday, otherwise usually I’m up to take her to work at 7am

Congrats on the HS @MikeyBikey

TC everyone 😎

I've not had the pain before. Its been a bit uncomfortable to lie on one side for a while but i put it down to wear and tear on my hips with the tiny chairs at work. The pain has only started the last couple of days. I'll google those exercises and try them with the painkillers.

I've cancelled the eye test today. During the last half hour, headache is coming on, sniffles getting worse and now throat is tickly. I'll just get the shopping done then dose myself up and read today i think. I'm falling apart!!

A 6.0 for me this am. 🙂
And watch out for those 14,000mph hurricane winds! 😱

@eggyg her folks can add you to their Disney+ account with your own profile. It’ll cost them something on top of their existing subscription but it’s not much to add another account. Can’t recall how much but I do that for my folks.

Congrats on the HS @MikeyBikey

Dog walk delayed by the early rain 🙄

A gentle 6.9 for me. My new infusion set pre-breakfast may or may not have ‘taken’. BGs steeply rising since my slice of toast. Bah!

8.9 this morning...and after a absolutely delicious Jamaican feast last night here in sunny Barcelona...i feel really rather good.I think my fiencee and I will take a long lovely around the city..we've got just one more week after this one to enjoy it.

5.5 on on a rather damp Berkshire morning and like @eggyg was gobsmacked to see a forecast of hurricane force winds here today when I looked at the BBC Weather App first thing. Got CNN on at the moment, watching the scenes from Florida. My wife's friend and her husband were on holiday in St Petersburg, which is pretty much where Milton hit land, but were evacuated to St Augustine on the other side of Florida and are hopefully safe.

Logged a call-out with Ovo yesterday to fix our CH. Boiler's working and we have hot water but all our radiators are stone cold. I suspect it's the Actuator being stuck in hot water mode, as it hasn't had to move for months. It's happened before, but let's see what their engineer says. Might miss out on my usual Thursday swim depending on when they come.

@freesia - I can sympathise, as that's pretty much what I've been experiencing with my hip, although it seems it's muscular in my case - my right Tensor Fasciae Latae, to be precise.

@ColinUK - sorry to hear you're going down with something.

@MikeyBikey - congrats on the HS

Whatever your plans, have a good day.

@Martin.A thanks. I think it’s only mild sniffles tbh but it’s interesting seeing how the Apple Watch can flag things up that confirm (when taken with a BG reading) that my bodies fighting something.

Morning All - 10. something. Really want to start my new insulin soon but the letter is still not with my GP yet. I rang them yesterday to see if they can at least do the Libre prescription as I'm on my last self funded one now and really don't want to splash out when I know that I'll be getting them free soon. My TIR is so bad that maybe I'll just see what happens and start afresh when I can get on prescription. Gorgeous morning here today and I'm about to go off out into the garden for 3.5 hours with my companion gardener. I've also got a huge pile of sheets to iron but somehow keep thinking of other things to do. @Martin.A sorry for your discomfort but on a lighter note that sounds like something you might order at Costa  To all those going down with colds - my hubby had a stinker last week and apart from banishing him to the spare bedroom I took 1000mg Vit C with Echinacea drops and didn't catch it. Also squirted First Defence up my nose a couple of times a day. I always used to use the Echinacea tincture but had forgotten about it - seems it worked. Hope you all feel better soon. @freesia how annoying that you got there first as I was about to suggest to @eggyg that an extra one wouldn't make too much difference - enjoy your lunch! xxx

Morning all and it was a 4.5 on the finger as the sensor died last night. Reported to Abbott no doubt a replacement eill,be winging its way to me in due course.

Flu and Covid Jabs on the agenda this morning and food shopping this aft.

Have a good day everyone.

TBF we can’t even decide what to watch with normal telly! Too much choice just confuses me. Thinks it’s my age. I like to watch a series when it’s on. Very rare I binge, then it’s only two episodes! 😉
