Group 7-day waking average?

5.9

Ballet yesterday afternoon (Akram Khan’s Giselle - ENB - Saddlers Wells) showed that good things have to come to an end.
It was one of those very rare times that I left in the interval and didn’t bother going back.
I know it’s had critical acclaim but really not my thing at all. Didn’t like the “music” and the plot was so lost.

On the upside though I’ve moved up with my Mounjaro from 2.5mg to 5mg this weekend. I wasn’t certain I was going to move up at I’ve been losing weight but the last week I totally flatlined so thought it was time. Injected late last night instead of very early this morning but weighed myself today. I’m 6.7kg down and have had zero side effects.

As you know I fund this myself but I’ve an appointment with the GP in a couple of weeks to discuss it and make sure he approves etc (he will) and that any additional screening/tests needed will be done. I’m also keen to explore whether the NHS will pick up the scrip as it’s clearly working; not only for weight loss but it’s also noticeably lifted energy, mood and also libido (TMI I know)!

Meanwhile I’ve just cooked my go to chicken breast ‘recipe’ so they’re in the fridge and washing up is done etc so it’s gym time.

(I say ‘recipe’ because it really isn’t. Seasoning of choice into the instant pot. Add cold water so that it’s about 1/2 full. Chicken breasts (straight out of the fridge cold) into the pot so that they’re covered by the water (half covered will do of there’s a lot of them packed in) give them a stir around. Lid on. Vent closed. Pressure cook on high and set the timer to ZERO minutes. Turn off Keep Warm function. Once it’s up to pressure and turned off leave it to naturally vent for 25 minutes.
That’s it. You get the softest chicken breasts ever. I generally shred half of the meat to make pulled chicken and keep the other half as whole breasts to slice or just eat.
It works every single time.)

Morning all and 3.4 for me. Whoops.

Late night last night. Event in York was a success. There were singers, a harp, a hurdy gurdy and me. Looks like it will happen again. As a bonus the chapel was heated and the acoustics were good.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all - @Martin.A gird your loins for some truly horrible weather, since you always get ours 12 - 24 hours later. High wind thrashing trees around and lashing down.

7.1 this morning - am sick of 7s. Roll on my appointment with the DSN in November as I have no idea how (or even if it's possible) to tweak this HCL set up.

We have been invited to lunch at some friends' today. I'm looking forward to it, but not to the 1.15 hour drive to Fowey in this weather!

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

G'day all. Horrid weather in Manc. Went to the skip to chuck my black binbag in and couldn't get back inside the flat quick enough brrr. 7.6 @ 9.40am bit of a lie in as I was awake most of the night for some reason. Stupid insomnia.

I never liked them. They were far too thick. Also I never drove trucks so obviously they weren’t for me.

Do they still make them? I remember when they first came out: it felt so decadent biting down into them (rather than a thin Dairy Milk) but I found them a bit sickly once the novelty had worn off.

Never tried one. Apparently the female of the species aren’t allowed them, and as I’m a law abiding citizen I did as I was told! 😉
They are now! Apparently there was a tone-deaf promotion a year or two ago that didn't allow women to redeem the vouchers. Quite rightly, it was overturned after a legal challenge. I wouldn't buy them now because of that - even if I were allowed them!

The wind's arrived but no rain yet. That's due this evening, but most of it's forecast for overnight. Gone cold, though - our CH has come on and I've changed into one of my woolly jumpers.

I forgot to mention (thanks for the reminder to share @Gwynn ) that our church did have bring and share lunch today. So I made gluten free dairy free lemon drizzle cake last night, and some mini vegan crustless "quiches" to make sure that fiancé got to eat something (there was also chicken and potato salad and coleslaw he could have, though he opted not to bother with the coleslaw or potato salad). Very much a beige buffet, not much in the way of salads apart from pasta salad which is still carby, but it was never going to be a low carb day today as I decided due to the waking early to do the home-made oral glucose tolerance test that I've been thinking of doing. (Will post that separately). Some of my lemon cakes left, so I left most pieces with fiancé as he has paperwork to get on with this afternoon, and brought a few slices back for me. (And just eaten two more, yum - though I think I should have bought 2 more lemons for the drizzle when I went shopping yesterday having found the ones I had only gave enough juice for the cakes, would have made it even more lemony)

I also left the confetti at church in the care of the verger since I had got around to putting it in envelopes this morning, one less thing for fiancé to remember to take on the day! Still a bit left in the main packet in case the envelopes don't quite go round everyone (I think they should if parents share with little children, but doesn't hurt to have the rest available)

So are Yorkie Bars!
They used to have a billboard for Yorkies at York Station (not been for a few years so it might still be there) that said "Welcome to York where the men are hunky and the chocolate is chunky" :D
Mr B is from York so I can't disagree!!

Good evening! A late post today as life came into the equation. It was the 59 Club Day at the Ace Cafe but sadly I could find no way to get there - return by wheelchair taxi would have needed at least 5 numbers on last night's Lottery and I only got 2!

Broken cloud with some sunshine all day

Trust everyone had a good day

Oh and BG was 6.6 and 8.0 by traditional means

Good morning/moaning. Going down Route 6.6 with BG. Having a cuppa as woken by Phantom Pain which I could not ride out so waiting for pain killers to kick in. :(

No appointments till Wednesday although foot dressing could do with changing as not enough absorbent material put over skin contact dressings so lymph fluid seeping through and it turns brown when it hits the air and partially dries. :(

Rain running down kitchen window. In case you are wondering I am on the first floor looking towards a few trees. The set up makes using the blind impossible from a wheelchair and I doubt the trees could take the weight of a Peeping Tom watching an aging rocker having a cuppa!
