Group 7-day waking average?

Morning a 6.7 for me and back on Train for another Meeting but should finish earlier today.
Been quite nice only having a 10 minute drive to station and plenty of time to have a coffee in Manchester.
Forgot to take my insulin yesterday for lunch just so absorbed in stuff but had a light lunch and managed to keep below 10 so happy with that.
Fish and chips last night and a lie down afterwards but still managed OK.
Anyway have a good day all

5.6 this morning - woo hoo! Although I did spike at 15 after breakfast!

Last night in Australia! Enjoyed Brisbane, although it is not particularly a touristy sort of place, but nevertheless a nice city. Off to Singapore tomorrow for 3 nights before returning home.

Saw a great band playing in the Queen Street Mall (open air street) yesterday, a mix of rap and electric didgeridoo (well, apparently a digeribone as it had a slide like a trombone) :

And for Star Wars fans I found the canteen you are looking for (closed today for Anzac Day).

Watched the Anzac parade today - everywhere was closed apart from a few restaurants- got a booking at one tonight for our final Australian meal out!

@Gwynn- stay strong, thinking of you!

Take care everyone!

A near miss for me this morning with a 5.3. 🙂

Blue sky and sunshine back this morning but, as usual, rain forecast for later. Spring where are you?

Got a second mechanic to look at our youngest's car yesterday (prudent to get two quotes) and unlike the first one he jacked up the car, opened up the engine compartment and immediately spotted the problem. The air con pump's on it's way out. He'll be back today to fit a replacement, which means I'll probably have to skip my usual Thursday swim.

@Lisbeth - my path to remission was pretty much the same as @Gwynn and I'm still on a low carb diet and exercise regime 4 years on. I was only on Metformin for 6 weeks and was pleased when my DN saw my BG diary and suggested I tried managing without it. It gave me terrible stomach cramps.

5.6 this morning, same as yesterday.

Have a good day, all.

Oddly I was on a zoom call a couple of weekends ago when some loose horses galloped down the road. They were weaving in and out of traffic and mounted the pavement. No riders.
Given that this is central London that was a bit weird. Then there was yesterday… I’m wondering if horses aren’t rebelling somehow.
Last Saturday when our friends were travelling to Cardiff the M4 was closed because horses had escaped along it. They were diverted all over the place and arrived at nearly 6pm rather than the 3pm they had estimated. You couold be right!

Morning all - another dull day. This is becoming so repetetive!

5.1 this morning. After a week of high numbers with no reason, yesterday afternoon my alarm suddenly shrieked with a 4.2 in the pub. I got a bag of crisps and I've been seeing super numbers ever since! Go figure, cos I can't work it out!

FWIW I think everyone gets burnout from time to time - it really is so relentless and I don't think those who don't have it get it at all. My friend was waxing lyrical about the display of pastries in the hotel breakfast in Cardiff and couldn't understand it when I was muttering about "worst nightmare". I'm sure she thought I was being awkward because I would clearly have been much happier going out and having a fry-up somewhere. Didn't want the one in the hotel because it was a buffet and had been sitting around for ages.

Sorry you feel so lonely @Gwynn. ISTR your walking friend is away in Africa right now too. Could you go to the church and find some company?

We're going into town to meet our friends who have just returned from a river cruise in Germany. I'm looking forward to hearing all about it.

Have a good day all!

Morning all, It's a 6.1 for me on this bright sunny morning.

Have a good day folks.
.

Morning all and 5.6 for me.

Good rehearsal last night. Vinyl album ready to collect new merchandise ordered. Nearly ready to rock and roll

Have a good day everyone.
Can my 12 week old little rock chick join in?
No pink and sparkly outfits for her!

Good morning everyone

BG 5.1well at least that's good

Blood pressure is high, unusual for me but not surprising considering things.

Went to see someone from the church yesterday. It was a good, helpful meet up.

I'd better have some form of tidy up in the kitchen today. Everything is cleaned, just not put away.

Later I had better do some form of keyboard practice as we are practicing at the church tomorrow. Trouble is, I am struggling to get upstairs to the music room. Not physically but emotionnally. That's why I'm sleeping downstairs! Silly, I suppose but I just can't sleep in our bed.

I discovered M&S baby new potatoes yesterday. Really nice, tasty too. Had some for my tea.

Have a good day today whatever you are doing

6.9

Still stressed about the CICA independent assessment next week. Spoke with a lawyer yesterday and she said not to worry. Easier said than done of course.
She said that the assessments are done by highly qualified psychiatrists who specialise in the particular trauma related to an individuals claim. I’ve checked and the psych I’m being assessed by is one of the top expert witnesses on sexual trauma in the UK. But it’s still obviously stressful as it’ll be requiring trawling through a lot of ****.

Physio today and then a sort of social drop in thing for LGBT folk. Supposed to be doing a private tour of the British Museum later (booked and paid for) but not sure if I’m in the right place for that.

Good mornIng all. 6.2 on this beautiful very frosty morning. -2c! Not sure Mr Eggy would agree, he’s worrying about his seedlings in the greenhouse. Some are on heated pads but not all of them.

We survived our full day of childcare. The girls were as good as gold, both in bed and asleep before 9. Just in time to watch Masterchef in peace. As hoped, daughter and hubby home for 10.20, a natter about the gig. They said it was one of the best comedians they’ve seen, Russell Kane if you were wondering, and home for 10.40, bed!

Gardening/ tiding/ walking planned today. Otherwise a chilled day, literally at the moment.

Have a fab Friday.
