Group 7-day waking average?

An early good morning. 7.3, this sensor is reading a bit high I’ve discovered this morning. But I’ll go with it.

Up far too early for a Sunday but I’ve had a decent sleep and I need to clean my fridges out! I can’t sleep when I’m going away, so I just gave up and got up. I also need to finish my book as I’m almost there and I like to take a new book with me when I’m going on holiday. I’m also going to write some lists, what to do before I go away, eg clean the fridges out! And what to pack, not clothes, that obvious, but meds, chargers, tickets for concert etc. I could buy clothes if I’d forgotten anything but trying to replace insulin/ Creon etc would be a bit more difficult. I have an absolute fear of forgetting my medication, I never have but that’s because I’m a prolific list writer. And most importantly the washing and ironing needs to be done ( I ticked that off yesterday) and my kitchen and bathrooms need to be clean and bleached and I need to Hoover through. It’s just how I am, I couldn’t come back to a tip and a pile of washing. You’d think I was going away for two months instead of just five days!

Have a good day, forecast good here, if a tad chilly, but at least we don’t have the gusty winds we had yesterday. Biting they were. Brrr!

Me too. I check constantly until we're in the car. I've asked hubby to go through it with me as well because sometimes in the car i've had a panic i've forgotten something (i haven't yet, fingers crossed it stays that way) and he reassures me.

Don't forget to check the fridge temperature where you are staying.

Don't forget the car keys. I know someone who forgot them only to find they had locked themselves out! :(

Morning all, 6.4 here, Libre showed a couple of big compression dips overnight again, I put it lower down my arm this time, and it doesn’t like it, I always find it more accurate when it’s higher up.

I always think of you when I go away and double check the temp!
We always take a minute when we get in the car and go through everything. Meds. Passports. Chargers. Glasses, sun and reading. Last October on our way to Cornwall for two weeks, as we sat in the car before setting off Mr Eggy said, insulin, I realised I hadn’t packed any extra, just what I had in my pens! Phew!

Even though I won’t be driving, I always take my set of car keys in my bag, just incase of such incidents. That would be a nightmare. Back in the day we could open our Ford Escort Mark I with a 10p piece and hot wire it to start. Not sure that would work with the Jag!

Another wonderfully sunny Berkshire morning but a less than wonderful 6.5 on the meter. Double-checked to be sure and it's right. My IBS is still giving me grief but it's just intermittent now and nowhere as bad as it was when it flared up on Friday so I don't know if that's a factor as my post-meal last night was also higher than usual.

Another day home alone, but only for a few hours. Our eldest's futsal team are playing in Manchester later and he's on his way already. TNT Sport 3 have the match so I'll be able to watch. Our youngest has a full Sunday opening hours shift at Sainsbury's and my wife won't be back from Bedford until this evening.

My plans to cut the grass yesterday came to nothing as the blue skies we'd started the day with clouded over a little earlier than forecast and we had a short, sharp shower. No rain in today's forecast so should be OK.

@eggyg - we always take both car keys whenever we're any distance away from home, but that's just me. My wife's in Bedford at the moment with only hers. Hope she doesn't lose it.

Hope everyone's weather's as nice as ours and you have a good Sunday.

A 5.3 for me this morning. 🙂

Morning all.
Dad always tells the tale of his first car and getting locked out of it.
Wasn’t an issue at all though as he could just pop the entire lock out of the door and open it that way.
Was an Austin 6 I think. Passenger door lock fell out one time he was going round Parliament Square and the door flew open. Mum grabbed the steering wheel to stop being thrown out!

Oh and 7.1

I’ve lost count of the number of times we’ve looked ourselves out of the car. I did it twice in the first week of passing my driving test. First time was when I visited a family member and parked behind her car in the drive. So she couldn’t go and get the spare keys. No mobiles then, had to wait until Mr Eggy got home from work and I rang him on the landline. The second time was just two days later, went to the local shops with all three kids, youngest was only 5 months old. I walked to in laws carrying baby and shopping and dragging two reluctant children behind me. Again had to wait until Mr Eggy finished work. That was the last time! It’s impossible to lock the keys in modern cars thank goodness. Our car even sends an alert if we haven’t locked it!

A happy 5.6 for me on another grey cloudy morning.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

Morning all - another day that can't make it's mind up. Yesterday turned out lovely and sunny but the wind was blooming freezing.

6.2 this morning.

Grocery shopping today and cooking a Sunday roast with a Venison haunch topped with latticed bacon. It came as part of our last "game box".

I recall with a shudder going away (350 miles) for the 40th wedding anniversary party of some close friends. Hubby shouted up the stairs "I've put your insulin in the car". I believed him. In the event he had put in the empty Frio bag that I'd left by the fridge for the insulin. I knew nothing of it until just as I was changing for the party and needed to change my pod. I spent most of the party touring local pharmacies and eventually waiting in A&E as NO ONE stocked Apidra. Eventually a doctor prescribed Novorapid.

Have a good day all!

In a business trip to the US I forgot to take spare cartridges, and had with me only what was in the pens. Luckily the trip was short and the pens were almost full, but I still ended using the last of the Novorapid as we were landing in Heathrow.

Good morning! 6'5 in the finger today, as sensor expired around 5 am.

Had a lovely day yesterday with visitors, we went to a local garden, to the beach and finished the day with a fantastic tapas dinner, with Spanish music in the background and lot of laughter. The weather was really mixed: sun, clouds, rain, wind...even hail at some point! But it didn't stop us from enjoying.

I bolused for lunch and dinner, very conservative doses but better than nothing. I want to get in the routine as I expect I will need more insulin on holiday. I thought I nailed it as my BG had barely moved by the time I went to bed (quite early). Of course the Libre graph humbled me with a big spike to 15ish overnight. I was trying to be discreet doing the injection, but not hiding. The girl seating to my right said halfway "are you jabbing? You are doing it in stealth mode!" . The girl on the left was like "oh, I didn't even notice!". Of course then the whole table knew, but that's fine :D
