Group 7-day waking average?

Morning a 6.7 for me and look forward to a nice but busy week and improving weather.
Good luck Eternal on your holiday and sounds like your are enjoying the journey and your new life ahead.
Birthday as well and Australia to look forward to so sounds. very exciting
Fantastic sporting w/ end and a couple of really nice lunches so all happy in the Wendal household.
Have a great week all.

The Man U victory has me grinning ear to ear! Some years ago one of the directors of the company I worked for was a Scouser and huge Liverpool fan. However when I was off for a serious operation after four years with the company I only got SSP. Then a few weeks after I returned to work he made me redundant on the lamest of excuses paying the minimum he could get away with. He usually went for a couple of pints on a Sunday evening. The thought of tear-drop shandy brought a huge smile to my face! 🙂 🙂 🙂

Good morning everyone.

BG 5.2 !!!! Yesssss

Wife got up at 4am and played her piano for an hour then went back to bed. I got up at 5am, did my meds, then played my keyboard for 2 hours. Got the lyrics for my new song sorted too, so that's good. Lyrics can be difficult: It is so easy to over complicate things and so easy to make the words silly.

Later a walk and tea with my friend who is coming over to us.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing.

Joining @Gwynn this morning. 🙂

Morning a 6.7 and again a flat line overnight.
Great Rugby yesterday and a nice trip to our favourite garden centre near Chester.
Another lunch out first and already had a coffee and toast at the old table we bought from our Sunday lunch spot just so I am in a good position to comment when my wife will definitely mention the old table is better than the new ones.
She will ask me what colour is the one we bought just to prove I noticed and normally I would get it wrong hence the extra preparation.
Plus the extra coffee and toast.
Very wet here but gradually getting better.
Zippy Jo do you have a Black Scottie as know their numbers are dwindling.
My in laws have a wheaten one after previously having a Black one.
Anyway now it is drier looking forward to getting in the garden and have the job of putting Ad Blue in the car ( hate it when the tube is leaky ).
Have a good w/ end all
PS well done on HSs and happy birthdays eternal
Yes we’ve always had black ones. They’ve been quite few and far between for a long time but we love them. I’m actually sitting here in my Scottie dog nightie as we speak! I met a wheaten one the other day for the first time.IMG_3696.jpeg

Well,done Gwynn on HS.
Yes Mikey I do try and be neutral on here as know how football rivalries can transcend polite comment.
Until my pancreatitis I was a Season Ticket holder at Old Trafford for many years but gave it up due to missing lots of games ( was in hospital at time of renewal so had other matters on mind) and not sure if I would continue to attend as my recovery progressed.
Plus the football was pretty drab- so I loved yesterday and only wished I had been there as those days are rare and the emotional high is something else.
But appreciate your experience with your boss and nice to get the odd victory

Morning All - I am VERY happy to report a 5.6 this morning. Not sure I've ever been that low on waking - well maybe in the very early days when I was being Little Miss Perfect. I was surprised last night after I had my supper that my BG was down in the 5s. I'd had two pieces of sourdough toast with mushrooms, Serrano ham and a mountain of spinach all cooked in a creamy goats cheese & creme fraiche sauce. I remember reading somewhere that spinach is good for keeping BG down - have others found this? I did the usual basal dose and had a lovely flat line all night. Anyway - have a good day everyone whatever you're up to. My Mum's coming over to have a bath in our new bathroom this afternoon as she hasn't got a bath at her new house (waiting to have one put in) and apart from that I'm going to be learning my plant ident list (herbs) for college on Wednesday and up to my elbows in more rose pruning and weeding xxx

Well done @Gwynn on your HS.
Sesquipedalian is a wonderful word. If you like words you might like a podcast I listen to. It's "Something Rhymes With Purple" with Susie Dent and Gyles Brandreth.
There's an archive of over 250 episodes.

5.8 on this rather mild Berkshire morning, despite the grey sky and absence of sunshine. It was nice to walk down to Morrisons to get a newspaper and some bits & pieces without having to wrap up warm. With the Spring Equinox only 3 days away hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

@eggy - nice camera. I did City & Guilds Photography at college but that was back in the days of film. I still have my Nikon SLR, though it hasn't seen the light of day in a good while. Our youngest did A-level Photography and has a digital SLR but although I've borrowed it once or twice I haven't really got to grips with it, so I know what you mean about the instruction manual.

Congrats @Gwynn & @MeeTooTeeTo on your HSs this morning.

Have a good start to the week, everyone.

Morning all - changeable is all I can say about the weather.

3.7 first thing, though no red showing on my graph as I corrected it right away. Seems I need to tweak overnight basals, though hard to say as I have been unable to swallow anything more than a few tbs of food all weekend. I think it was due to a painkiller dissolving in my throat on Friday. Though having read @Proud to be erratic 's comments on this thread I am horrified that I was slapped onto Omeprazole when it was discovered that I had an ulcer, despite the GP who did it (not mine) knowing full well I was on Clopidogrel. I was taken off Omeprazole when I was in hospital at Christmas and put on Famotidine. This was the same GP who failed to warn me regarding BG side effects when he gave me a steroid injection, the result of which was me being admitted to hospital with hallucinations due to reaction of high BG and low potassium.

I am on so many meds I worry and I do think it time to have a review of them all!

Incidentally @Proud to be erratic you were lucky to get an MRI right away to prove it was a TIA. Most of the TIA diagnosis down here is guesswork.

Oh and to cap it all I went to bed at 10:30 and was woken at 12:30 by a hideous screeching. Thought I'd accidentally gone to bed in my hearing aids... no..... after lots of panicked investigation it transpired that my pod was no longer communicating with the .pdm - so had to change it and stick a paper clip in the little hole that stops the alarms.... all you need in the middle of the night!

Congrats to @Gwynn and @MeeTooTeeTo on your HSs

Happy belated birthday to @Eternal422 and Bon Voyage on the next leg of your journey.

@MeeTooTeeTo sounds like your blog "Something rhymes with purple" is right up our street. Last week we sorted through umpteen packing cases of books that had been in the attic since we moved. 6 cases went to charity, we saved quite a number including a good dozen books on words... such as a 3 box set of ""The superior person's book of words".

Oh and @eggyg enjoy your camera! I got a new one on the eve of lockdown. I regret to say it's been barely used.

Spookily enough I got my last one ( for my 60th birthday) just a few days before lockdown. I used it loads and it conked out whilst in Cornwall last year, but it had been poorly since I fell into a sand dune in Scotland in the April! Oops! Lots of sand got into it until the lens just wouldn’t move anymore. I’ve really missed having a camera. We’re away for a few days next week so wanted it before my birthday. Hopefully I’ll be a bit more careful with this one. Note to self. Knock it off when walking on a beach. 😛

Well what a night I've had new Libre went live at 7.30pm last night then went bat .... crazy its been low 3.6 ish then high 11.5 at one point finger pricks on average 4 lower for example morning waking said 10.7 and it wa 6.1 finger prick, shattered being woken up so many times and a few lost signal added in just for fun

Congrats on 5.2s

Afternoon all

Forgot to post earlier, anyway, it was a 4.9 for me today.

Yes Mikey the pancreatitis was no fun.
We could do with an emoji a bit like the “ curate’s egg” so good in parts so that we can like certain bits of a post but dislike other bits.
Must admit ever since I had to write an essay entitled “ The Great Depression in 1893-96( probably got dates wrong as going off memory) was lie a Curates Egg.Discuss? -I have always liked that expression as sums up a lot about I feel about many situations so a bit nuanced whereas today a lot of people have much more of a binary view.
