Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning everyone! 7'8 today.

Yesterday didn't start very promising but it ended up being a good day. I saw both of my friends, one of them has a new car and fancied a carvery dinner, so she drove us there with her guy. Me and the other friend hadn't been to a carvery before, it was an experience!

Morning,

4.6 today, lost 1lb at slimming world, so really pleased with that with being ill. Managed to walk there and back, only 10mi s each way and wasn’t too breathless, so going to try a walk with the running group this evening.

@eggyg - i love a real Christmas tree, but we currently use the artificial tree that we had in the dinning room in our old house, we had always had a real tree in our living room. It Is ore about the cost of buying a real tree now when we have a good artificial one and just an open plan downstairs. Pleased to hear your daughter‘s kit has arrived and she is getting some education today, but thankfully she has you she can talk to and help her.

@Martin.A - hope you continue to feel better and don’t need to take the antibiotics.

Well done @Paul Gibbins on that HS. 🙂 A 5.4 for me today.

Morning all - ashamed to report 11.3 this morning. I fell asleep on the sofa last night and when I woke up at 12.50am for some reason I scoffed two border biscuits and three digestives 😱 Maybe I thought I was dreaming. Anyway - today is a new day. Hubby back yesterday and had the journey from hell once he arrived back in the UK.Nearly missed his connection at Heathrow due to medical emergency on his plane and then once he got to Edinburgh and to the station there were no trains going south due to a broken down train somewhere on the line. So he hopped on a train to Newcastle and then went cross country to Carlisle. I drove up and picked him up from Wetheral @eggyg what a sweet little station that is! He was suitably impressed by my Christmas trees, mind you, I was going on about them so much that it was more than his life was worth not to be. Last day of my course today before Christmas so we're making Christmas wreaths and all having lunch in the Castle cafe together. I'm sort of class rep so I've arranged it all and hope I've got everyone's pre-orders right. @eggyg I loved your reference to your works Christmas do:rofl: and read that Zara would be going under the tree today and be staying under there until she was joined by her two youngest cousins on Saturday! Have a great day everyone and I will endeavour to stay away from the biscuits ...

Wow @eggyg . I knew they want a tighter BG control in pregnant women, but 6ish post-pandrial? I think they recommend less than 8 for type 2. I hope your daughter is alright and she doesn't get too discouraged when the numbers don't go her way, because we all know, sometimes they don't...

Good morning everyone

I feel cr** this morning after a shingles jab yesterday. Arm aches a lot too. Sigh.

BG 5.6

I also saw the doctor yesterday as they had prescribed Evacal (calcium & vitamin D3) without any discussion or information. I took the opportunity to discuss the TSH (thyroid stuff) levels being borderline low expecting that an increase in levothyroxine would help. He surprised me by saying increasing the levothyroxine that I take would actually reduce the TSH further (contrary to my expectations). Does anyone here know if that is correct?

Oh and when I asked if I should take any precautions taking the (new med) Evacal, he said no and was very clear about it. On reading the med information it clearly states that at least 4 hours should elapse from taking levothyroxine before taking the Evacal. I am not impressed with the doctor at all.

I may take today easy too.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

My understanding of it is, that TSH stimulates the production of the thyroid hormone, so if your THS levels are raised, it’s because your own Thyroid is struggling to respond to the command it’s receiving from the THS production. If you’re taking levothyroxine, the body doesn’t have to struggle so hard to stimulate its own production, so it produces less of the Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, (THS) because it doesn’t need to keep trying to kick your own thyroid into action.

She’s just messaged me, she was 7.8 one hour after breakfast. She had one slice of toast, because it was white I’ve told her it will have hit her like a ton of bricks! Hopefully it’ll go down quickly. Gosh, now I’ve to worry about someone else’s diabetes as well as my own! ( TBF I don’t worry too much about mine, I’m a semi pro now!). 😉

Good morning. 6.6

Quite nice weather - mix of bue sky and cumulus, sunny, light breeze, not too cold. Altogether a nice change from the last few days unremitting rain. It tested the "sleeping policeman" and the dug out drains, both of which passed with flying colours. The drive tarmac received no more highway mud and got a good washdown of clean water.

Have at long last worked out the menu from when the famiy are here - just got to go buy it! Still struggling to source a decent size duck - probably have to buy 2 - but anything (almost) is better than turkey.

Have a good day all.

Wetheral station is very cute, we like a walk to Wetheral, it’s not too far from ours, walk over the bridge to Great Corby and back home by Warwick on Eden. It’s also a good place to see the steam engines go by. It’s a lovely village, my maternal grandfather was born in one of the houses just under the railway bridge and past the church. The walk along the Eden is great too.

PS I’ve allowed Zara to get up from under the tree, she’s now helping her Gaga to light the coal fire! Then she’ll sit on the flour with her arms and legs crossed and be seen but not heard! I may allow her some gruel for her lunch!

I would prefer duck or goose but you just don’t get enough meat and there’s 8 of us this year. When we’re on our own ( we alternate) we have duck, goose is an extortionate price these days. We’re having a turkey saddle, AKA a crown, and gammon. I’ve got salmon and fillet of beef for New Year and may make a festive pie with the leftover turkey and gammon. ( Of which there’ll be loads!)

@Robin Thanks. The doctor was insistent that increasing levothyroxine would lower TSH levels further.

I will look into it further.

I did scour the internet but could not find a definitive clear answer

6.1 this morning for me.

Congratulations @Paul Gibbins on your HS today!

@Grannylorraine - well done on your SW loss! Way to go! You’re making me feel envious, I really need to lose some weight but I find this time of year tough.

Have a great day everyone!

Wups been a little neglectful in posting lately
4.9 for me today after a double figures day all day yesterday. One day I will work out why 🙄
Tummy been grumbling along, still waiting on results from all that but hitting the brick wall of tired again so have Drs appointment this afternoon which should be a quick checkbox of what bloods they want from me 🙂

Hope everyone else is doing well <3

07:49 BS 8.1 🙂 Better.

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day, 😉

Will be back to normal NR doses today: could have woken lower with no reduction last night but, I still gave it -4 in case!

Not had breakfast yet & about to. Last scan 09:57 BS 9.4 so, normal DP is rising. 🙄

As I am so unhappy/dubious of my doctors answers I have now emailed my endocrinologist consultant to ask their advice.

Of course they may say that my doctor is correct which will be reassuring. But I need to know.

Morning all and 9.7 for me. According to the Libre graph everything was chugging along nicely until 3am then whoosh we have lift off. A modest half unit correction and see how we go.

Have a good day everyone.
