Group 7-day waking average?

Late posting today - 5.3 when I woke what seems like ages ago now!

Visit to dentist was eventful yesterday (ok from a teeth point of view thank goodness!) - whilst in the waiting room I felt myself starting to go low, scanned and it was 4.1 with a downward sloping arrow. Eek! Checked with receptionist if I needed to rewash my hands after getting something from my coat pocket (they have a strict procedure since covid to keep everyone safe). She asked if I was ok, so I explained and then they all went into action, offering sweet tea if I needed! I had a couple of my dextrose tablets (@Elenka_HM - from my “hypocket”) and scanning again a bit later my BG was coming up fine so said I was ok thanks. When I went into the dentist a few minutes after that, they had out a box with glucogel and a BG meter in case I needed further help! Luckily I was ok by then but it was so nice that they were prepared and knew what to do to help.

Went back to my car and scanned again and, of course, got the “reading not available, try again in 10 minutes” message - grrrr! As I always take my BG meter with me I tested on that and had a nice 7.4, so could drive back ok.

Congratulations @freesia on your HS and very interesting house!

@ColinUK - thanks for the details about Pesach and foods, etc. very interesting! I miss hearing about this from my schooldays when I had a friend who was Jewish and told us all about their traditions at home. I love hearing about all of this.

Have a great day everyone!
I once walked to the dentist on a hot summer’s day. Sitting in the waiting room and felt that familiar feeling. In the threes. So here I am munching on jelly babies minutes before getting my check up! 🙄

I tried Matzos once just because I had never seen them before and they were super discounted in the Tesco I used to work at. Wouldn't buy again.

Good afternoon everyone! 4'8 this morning, although was mid 5s soon after getting up.

I've been having more low alarms than usual. I suspect this sensor is also reading lower than previous ones. But most of the time the alarms went off when I was walking or just after, and I know my levels tend to drop when I walk. So tend to top up with one or two JB or equivalent (now I have an open bag of sour mini watermelons).

Yesterday was an amazing sunny day and I went to visit a friend in the next town by the coast. I've mentioned some times that I can walk to this town easily, but it takes an hour and I knew I would also walk around once I got there so didn't want to tire myself too much or deal with more lows. Had a fish and chips, my favourite place is in that town and my friend was very pleased so I'm happy I suggested it. I did get a spike but it was hours later. Happy I didn't have to work out a bolus!

I had purchased a Day Ticket for the bus so I had unlimited trips, and in the way back I decided to go to an M&S on the outskirts of my town. Never gone to that one as there is nothing interesting in the area, so I just pop to the Food hall when I visit another city that has one. But I don't know when I'll be able to go next and I wanted to get the cheesy Hot cross buns again. No luck, they were out of stock, I heard another 2 or 3 customers asking about them, they must be quite popular! I got a pack of cheese scones instead and a few chocolatey treats.

Oh, and I got a letter from the Diabetes team. Apparently I'm moving from the Young Adult section to the Adult section. I was not aware of being in said Young Adult section so is just as well. Just made me feel a bit older, I'm considered a full adult now! Why? I am living on my own, working, paying rent and taxes and complaining about the price of groceries...but that doesn't make me an adult, does it? :D o_O:rofl:

Wow, they are really aware and care about their patients. How nice of them to do that. I'm glad you were able to sort the hypo before going in but its good to know they are prepared to help if needed.

I've just been to my dentist. All they said is "Has anything changed with your medical history?" My answer "Nope" to which they poked around and made my gums sore and bleed before saying there was no problems.

Many years since I had matzos - not much call for them in the village shop - but as I recall an OK cracker, providing a useful crunch under something tasty. Cream cheese, smoked salmon, smoked mackerel pate etc. Like most "savoury" bickies have to be treated as a vehicle rather than the cargo.

Despite being a little bit embarrassed, I was really impressed with their knowledge and care.

I think prodding the gums causes more problems than it solves, I always suffer a bit after a visit to the hygienst!

Good morning 5.9
I’ve been quite busy with the bungalow renovations
and have missed a few days posting.

have a great day everybody 😎

Good morning everyone

Up nice and early at 4am BG 4.7

BP is still someehat elevated
Balanced nicely with a very low pulse of 55 bpm

Today painting. No, not artistic but undercoating a room wall, then a nice walk and then pick up my meds (and my wifes too)

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning all. 6.9

Before coming to the folks yesterday (I’m still here) I went to the flicks to see the Dungeons and Dragons film just out.
It’s huge fun! Ideal wet weather watching!

Helping dad out with some bits and boobs later this moving before heading home. And back to Sadlers Wells this evening for a reimagined Jungle Book.

It’s had good reviews but all of them mention how unrelentingly bleak it is so that should be fun.

That's right. There's nothing "wrong" with them, just didn't find they have much flavour on their own and I prefer other sorts of crackers.

Morning yawning. 6.9. I’m unsure if my new pen administrated my Levemir last night, and this morning. I couldn’t get an air shot out of it and when I injected something didn’t feel right with the pen. I’ve taken it to bits and the “pusher upper springy thingy” isn’t moving.I’ve pulled it out and it only goes so far, and it’s stuck solid. I’ve experimented with it without insulin cartridge in so I can see what goes on. It’s just not moving! Swapped back to my old pen and I’ll nip to chemist today. I’m a tad annoyed. The fancier something is the more there is to go wrong! 😡

Anyhoo, off for a Easter cut and colour early doors. Then a bit of lunch and the big Easter shop at Tesco. Shoot me now. 🙄It will be bedlam I bet, they’d better have left me a leg of lamb.

Have great day all.

Congrats to yesterday’s House Specialist @freesia

I agree. That's one of the reasons I wouldn't be so tempted to change to a pump even if I met the criteria (I definitely don't at the moment). I have very similar pens, same colours too! and they gave me 2 of the blue ones to have a spare, was good because one of them has a wonky "springy thingy" :(

@eggyg I’ve had a quick word with Tesco and they’ve said that they’re closing the store just for you so you can shop in complete peace!
