Group 7-day waking average?

Morning was 5.1 today

Its looking like theres quite a few HS yesterday & today, so congrats to @Martin.A & @freesia & @ColinUK & @Lisa65 I’m thinking I’ve probably missed someone?

also interesting to hear your going to talk to a journalist about your positive experience on Mounjaro Colin

@BobbleHat welcome back, good to see you back on here

I was rudely woken today
thought I was dreaming
I thought there was a bee in my bedroom
to my horror when I put the light on there was😱 and on the pillow !
know we need Bees but sorry
a half awake chase around my bedroom
it’s dead
I don’t want a Bee in my bed

today I’ve a few jobs planned around the bungalow to keep me busy
first load of washing already is in

need to do some admin later
conscious that I need to get some claims done with the tax man (I was told a few years ago I don’t need to do a self assessment anymore)
However I do need to claim some tax relief on business mileage
So whilst I’m currently off work this week and next
It’s a good time to sort that out I’m thinking

I’ve just requested a call from my GP regarding a recently prescribed medication
so will see what time they call and stay by phone ready for them - otherwise I fancied a swim

TC all

Morning all, 6.0 for me today.

It's pay day (finally!) - we got up early and took 7yo out for breakfast. 7yo is having a great day so far as her class is off on a trip to a local castle AND she gets £5 to spend in the shop - what a day if you're 7!

I have two Food Tech classes working in the library today. It's never been established why they work in here once a fortnight. They clearly have a study lesson but it's never really been explained why they don't stay with their teacher. There are a lot of them and I get paid minimum wage, so I think this needs to change for next year!
The rest of the day should be fairly smooth though. And it's beautifully sunny!

Have a great day everyone.

גוט מאָרגן - Which is Yiddish for good morning 🙂

Busy day yesterday. Lots of physical work. Was a carb heavy day too yesterday and I was hungry all day. Imagine my surprise with a 5.2 this morning!

Kaftans have been delivered to mum and dad’s house so I’ll collect those tomorrow. Flowers I had delivered last week for mum’s birthday I’ve had refunded as they were half dead on arrival. Missing an order from Boots that is now 9 days overdue so been chasing that without success.

Interview this AM with a journalist about Mounjaro. Then the joy and excitement of filling in my PIP renewal form. Dunno if I’ll cope with the excitement.
Our Boots now seems to have the repeats made up at a hub and delivered to the pharmacy already bagged up so are taking longer from putting in the request to being ready. Only those presented on the day are being done in house.

how is your granddaughter’s back now?
She’s off to physio this morning, it was supposed to be Tuesday but it was cancelled just 40 minutes before the appointment! I spoke to her yesterday and she’s able to straighten up more which is a good sign. I’m assuming she’s going to drive herself to physio and and up to ours today with her mother. Unless her stepdad takes her. It’ll be nice to see her, not seen her since Friday.

Morning everyone. It’s a sunny 4.6 for me on another beautiful day.

Have a great day folks and stay safe.

Morning all. Lovely spring day again. I could get used to this 😎
An 8.1 for me this morning. Not sure why it has crept up again. Busy day in the garden yesterday. Hubby in the greenhouse and veg patch sowing more seeds. Me in the polytunnel sowing flower seeds for the borders.
After dinner we both tackled the overgrown area again. Me clearing brambles and nettles, hubby pulling out dead Willows from the boundary bank. Discovered why a large patch of our privet hedge has died. Part of the top bank has given way exposing all the roots.
Some serious remedial work required as soon as we have cleared a safe pathway.

Well enough about my life. Looks like the HS step has expanded to a tier of steps.
Congrats to @Lisa65 , @freesia , @ColinUK and @khskel on your HS today. I wonder if @Martin.A will be along to join you later?

Have a good day everyone.

Spring Equinox and it's another lovely Berkshire morning with the temperature already in the high teens. Aircon's taken over from the heater in the car. Posting a bit later than usual as I had an early appointment at the hygienist. All good and next one booked for June.

Managed a bunch of house and garden chores yesterday and will be back out in the garden this afternoon. Nice to see so many shrubs in bud and I'm looking forward to getting some colour back. At the moment it's only our Forsythia brightening things up.

Congratulations to @Lisa65 , @freesia , @ColinUK @khskel & @MikeyBikey on your HSs today. Have we had that many on one day before? Would like to have joined you but it's a 5.5 for me this morning :(

Thursday, so swim before lunch as usual. I made a New Year's resolution to up it to 30 lengths by Easter but I actually managed it on Tuesday.

Hope everything goes to plan tomorrow @MikeyBikey

. BP testing so far (day 2) suggests I am probably going to need meds as just a tad higher than they like and that is with breathing exercises each time before I test
@rebrascora i've just been to see the GP to review the first lot of BP meds (2.5mg). Already its started to come down so he's increased the dose slightly and said that would more than likely be enough but to go back in 2 months to check with him and check it myself 2-3 times per week and take those readings back. I resisted taking the meds for 2 years as, like you, i don't like taking anything unless i really need it. So far i've been ok on them and hope it continues. Hopefully your BP will settle soon.

Thanks @freesia I am more or less resigned to needing meds at the moment, but hoping that I might be able to get off them again at some point in the future and will work hard towards that goal. I don't feel particularly good at the moment and I do think the increased heart rate and BP is adding to my anxiety. I have already swapped to decaf and trying to do more exercise and be more conscious of my salt intake. I almost never put salt on my food but I do eat a lot of cheese and roasted peanuts and I occasionally have Marmite on a crispbread.
Do you mind me asking which BP med you have been given?

Afternoon lovelies

7.5 for me this morning after I'd managed to stress myself into a 13.9 yesterday.
Fun with PIP review anxieties (!)

Mega self care on the go for the next few days.

Squidges to all xo

He put me on Ramipril, from today 5mg. Its like a vicious circle isn't it, raised BP increases anxiety which raises BP.

You already do a lot more exercise than me because of the horses. My exercise has slowed as i walk usually, but this heel pain is not going away and is causing problems with my other knee and back. I've tried pilates and my exercise bike instead but i'm struggling to get into a routine.

My mum has high BP and has had for years and my dad died aged late 40s from a heart attack so i've now accepted that chances are i would have needed meds sooner or later. For me, if it means i'm around longer, then i'll now take them.

It looks like you're doing as much as you can to avoid taking the meds and i hope it all works out ok for you and hope you feel better soon.

Thanks @freesia That helps. It just seems odd that it has been stable for years, admittedly at the top end of normal with a pulse rate of 60 and in the last 6 months it has jumped and pulse rate is up 10 and I can feel it. Wondering if it has anything to do with me taking Amitriptyline regularly as that is the only thing which has changed .... apart from me getting older of course 🙄. Must check the Amitriptyline PIL to see if there are any issues with BP.
Thankfully my Dad had the heart of an ox but thinking about it he did have high blood pressure and took medication for it, so maybe that is it.

Afternoon and back home from our little break and did over indulge but sure we have mostly been guilty of that at some point.
A 7.4 for me after a few correction doses and spent much of night high and my TIR has dropped down to lowest level ever but all self inflicted and worth it.
The food on our Ludlow break has been heavenly and had all the things put in front of me.
Eating out at new places especially when they do chunky thrice coked chips etc I find is the only thing I struggle to carb count and end up guessing and then taking several doses to try and manage the meal based on my readings.
I always err on side of caution with these type of meals as most I would normally inject for a high carb meal would be 8-10 units.
So when I had my whale and chips last night ( ate all the batter) then followed by a heap of ice cream I ended up taking about 14-16 units and it still was not enough and as my Wife’s hip was playing up a bit we really did not do as much walking as I normally would.
But we found a lovely pub and ended up going there both nights and then cake and lunch out on both days so I just went with it as it was just so nice driving around the Black and White Trail in Herefordshire and stopping at the border towns like Kington and Knighton.
Stopped at Ellesmere ( known as Shropshires Lake District) for lunch and now home and dog went mad and will pick up other two later.
So a lovely break and we both loved it and met a really nice couple for a Breakfast natter. So good when you meet new people you can tell your story’s too without a roll of the eyes from your partner.
Anyway good to be home and have to get back in the routine soon.

10.4 earlier in dropping to 8.3 at breakfast on this warm & sunny day. We sat out in the garden for an hour or two, basking. Even managed some gardening.

Had a short walk but had balance issues so only got 3/4 way up our street before turning back making a wobbly way back, but still managed one.

My OH did 2 loads of washing and both machines we're on a good hour or so. We are going to watch how much energy we use as my direct debit for e.on is going up to the highest it's ever been... nearly £200 a month!

Congratulations @Lisa65 , @freesia , @ColinUK , @khskel & @MikeyBikey on your HSs, must be a record for so many!
