Wordle - Quordle Thread

Seemed trickier than yesterday but not particularly difficult. Caught myself out losing quite a few points as subsequent words are +1 as I thought "Yes, we had that recently" but it was in fact an anagram!

Wordle in 5
Quordle in 8 for 23 (5, 7, 8, 3)
Octordle in 12 for 62

Total Score 90! Beatable but probably a Mikey in the Middle performance! :rofl:

Octordle helped my total this morning, it helps when your starting word is one of the answers!
Wordle in 4
Quordle in 5,8,7,4
Octordle in 55
Total 83.
 
Middle of the pack (4+21+62=87) here, looks like. An annoyingly high element of luck involved this morning, I thought, with several available options for a few words.

Made a stupid mistake in Quordle but scraped through.

Wordle in 3
Quordle 6 9 8 3 = 26
Octordle 63

Looks like I am bringing up the rear again with 92 unless @Mumpie_olgran has an off day (or throws one! 😉 )

I am a bit confused about @Rob Oldfield's comment about using ADORN in the Weekly challenge. It is only Saturday isn't it?

Is Saturday not when it kicks off? I finished the daily one early this morning and it came up with the 'you've unlocked the weekly challenge' message. Am I using the correct site of https://www.merriam-webster.com/games/quordle/#/weekly?
 
I guess that must be last weeks weekly challenge. It generally comes out on a Monday.

Ah, got it. I used a different computer this morning so it would have been the first Quordle completed this (i.e. the old) week.

Have to hope that ADORN is a tad more productive on Monday.
 
Poor from me today, I'm going to blame it on my covid booster yesterday and blithely ignore the fact that this appears to be the only symptom...

For a total 91

So a narrow dodge of the splintery fingers

Or maybe my confusion has come from getting a new phone and I can't figure anything out on it!
 
Setting the ball rolling for today's puzzles....

Total for the day = 83
Surely that puts me safe from the kitchen utensil today?? There were one or two tricky words in there which might just catch someone out.
 
After a tricky Wordle things got better with each game:

Wordle in 5
Quordle in 8 for 23 (8, 4, 6, 5)
Octordle in 12 for 59!

Total Score 87! I was feeling happy with that and then saw I am in the Spoon of Wood position (hopefully temporarily :rofl: )

Trying to avoid going top bed as often after anything from 30 minutes to 2 hours I wake with phantom pain despite taking the Gabapentin as instructed.

Total Score 87! A Mikey in the Middle performance I think. Now for the Weekly Challenge! :rofl:
 
Well, I am claiming my usual trophy as I crashed and burned at Quordle, so no Weekly Challenge for me today. :(

Octordle in 59 with 2 lives left.

Good luck getting some pain free sleep @MikeyBikey. I am putting off lying down so that I don't drown in snot. Charming I know. 🙄 It's a real belter of a cold I've got!
