Well here's the LAUGH I bombed on Quordle. Might try Octordle later on and the Weekly Challenge tomorrow if I get through! :(

No sharing of the kitchen utensil for me.... You might "LAUGH" at my starting word but it worked in my favour today...

Quordle Admittedly it was a bit fraught at the end but it helped that I got the difficult one first... 8 9 6 3 = 26
Octordle with 2 lives left and a score of 57

Quordle Weekly Challenge result 6 4 7 3 = 20
 
Lucky to finish all puzzles, though with a pretty dismal grand total of 98.

Just thought I would do note why I do not like Hard Mode. If, for instance, I had has four guesses in Wordle and worked out the word was xLING, where x is the missing letter I had concluded was B, C or F by trying each letter there is a one in three chance I would fail! However, I would put in a word like BLUFF to confirm or otherwise what the mossing letter is. Hard Mode seems a way to lose when you could win!

You don't have to tell those of us who play hard mode, why it is hard!! 🙄 We are well familiar with the issues and drawbacks.
I like that I played hard mode on all 3 today puzzles today, as I always do, and still beat you all .... so that gives me bragging rites 😉 😎 and makes up for the days when I come last. I don't mind coming last..... unless I made a really stupid mistake, because I wasn't paying attention. 😡

A lot comes down to your starting word too. Mine had a couple of letters today which really gave me an edge on quite a few of the words. Other days it gives me nothing, but sometimes getting nothing from it also helps, because it rules out a lot. I think this is one of the fascinating things about the simplicity of these puzzles, that there are so many variables.

I go days without watching it but only have the basic Freeview. No way would I pay for Sky as I think the Murdoch's influence is, damaging. Last week all I watched were the Monday night quizzes, the F1 highlights (race not the punditry), a James Bond movie and another with Tom Cruise (what a load of rubbish)!
