Congratulation @Barrowman on your HS.
I love this forum - I learn something new nearly every day. I can't wait for the opportunity to use that expression. Thanks @Lauren 🙂... I need to get a wiggle on....
It wasn't taken as demanding, just an unconscious assumption that certain things are easy for everyone. I'm probably guilty of similar myself. It's taken 30 years of living with my husband to accept that no matter how easy I think it is to prepare food three times a day, he's never going to be able to prepare/ cook more than about 5 meals per week as he finds the whole process exhausting and needs a couple of days off to "chill".sorry if I said something in my comment that was thought of as being demanding
it certainly wasn’t meant to be a expectation or in anyway demanding![]()
Please don't beat yourself up, I know it was meant well. I probably didn't word my reply as well as I could. (I initially typed "should" then had a rethink!)as some say these days
Oops… My Bad 🙄
What is this black magic?12.2 today, so I ate 3 spoons of egg mayo to see if I could shut off my liver. One hour later, 10.5. The experiment will be repeated.
Eloquently put.I have banned myself from using the word “just” unless I’m talking about justice. I’m never “just” doing X or “just” asking Y etc.
And weighing in on “should” for a second, I’ve also worked very hard on switching that word out when I use it (or hear it) and replace it with “could”. It gives me agency whilst removing the declaration of obligation.
