Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all and a glorious summer morning it is too!

8.0 and a jiggedy jaggedy line - which I don't quite understand. HCL usually produces nice flat ones.

Nothing much on today, although we may go down the local for a swift half late afternoon. Not so much for the drink, but more for the company as we've not been socialising at all for ages now. It's all of a 50 yard walk and has a nice garden out the back plus a lot of friendly people.

Congratulations to @Barrowman on a 2nd HS in a row!

Have a good day all....

A distress warning that what I post might be distressing!

I thought today would be a stress free day & it WAS good as BS is finally settling to normal levels on normal NR doses.

Then, just after I put in my midday Tresiba, 2nd day of 52, my sister called & came round for a visit with BIL. I had just ordered some Turkish baklava that was being delivered on Friday but, my sister picked up the box when she rang the doorbell. So, they had coffee & I opened the baklava: it was a new novelty for all of us; chatting & a second of not concentrating, I choked on the little crumbly bits which I hadn’t swallowed properly. I’ve had a damaged swallowing reflex since 2001 the first time I had Bells Palsy & need to actively swallow! With all the crumbly bits in my windpipe I was coughing SO hard I was hunched over the kitchen sink & wet myself! It was VERY distressing for all of us! I had to clean myself up in the bath chair in the bathtub & change my clothes! My sister & BIL left pretty soon afterwards even though I said stay; I feel like I’ve chased them away!

My BS was nicely in the 8’s & coming down but, the baklava & the distress of choking has them sitting in the 12’s right now!

I’m still a bit wheezy & calmed right down but, I still feel a bit distressed so, I’m posting to help me relieve some of that!

I don’t usually like to talk while I’m eating but, sometimes even I, in italics, forget that when I get excited, catching up with my sister who hasn’t visited in a while! It only takes a second of not concentrating to swallow to choke & baklava is NOT something good to choke on as there are loads of little crumbly bits that just went straight down my windpipe & took a lot of very hard coughing to cough it back up into the right pipe to be swallowed! It’s the evolutionary drawback to humans standing upright on two feet: sharing the same orifice with two different pipes for eating & breathing; food can go down the wrong pipe!

THERE! I’ve unloaded now & feel better! Thanks for being there for me to post! :thankyou:
