Group 7-day waking average?

04/08/25 22:36 BS 12.8! 😱 ARGH!!! Just went to bed early yesterday as I was tired, for some reason, around 6pm & dinner hill was just coming down at 11. something so, I thought it would settle a bit more! BUT, no it didn’t & it was a fairly flat ish line in the 11’s to 12’s while I slept! Either the +1 basal increase hasn’t started coming through yet or it’s not enough?

Either way here I am up at silly o’ clock again & I find my fellow forum member @MikeyBikey up at the silly hour too! 🙄o_O

Just finished eating lunch: breakfast I gave a max of 60NR for a quick microwave burger as I needed food & insulin waking up so high & it brought me down to the 8’s AFTER cooking & was actually in the 10’s before I started; gave lunch a max of 60 as well as I took the time & effort to cook pork dumplings soup with broccoli, mushrooms & beansprouts & see how that goes? Thinking about basal again but, that hours away, yet?

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Nearly 5am now so, watch live this week’s advance episode of Great Escape 7: advance episodes on Tuesdays, main episode on Wednesday & BTS Bonus on Wednesdays; usually 2 main episodes for each mission, with the odd mission with 3 episodes, & it’s a new mission, 3, this week. They’re huge productions with a cast of actors playing NPC’s, those into playing video games would know that as Non Participating Characters or Non Playable Characters, & the teams get to do stuff like going down a zip wire to crash through windows, last season 6, & abseiling down the side of a building, they just finished filming the final mission this season 7, that will air in about October: I wonder what they’ll do next season; maybe jumping off a building with parachutes? 😱 It’s NOT your average Escape Room! I REALLY enjoy watching it although, given the production costs, the product placements & ads intermittently spread throughout the sets & episodes with a team member picking up the product & saying their ads’ lines are very cheesy!; reminiscent of The Truman Show!

sorry if I said something in my comment that was thought of as being demanding
it certainly wasn’t meant to be a expectation or in anyway demanding :thankyou:

as some say these days
Oops… My Bad 🙄
If you really don't understand what the "something" was, it was the word "should". It rankled with me too. Perhaps be very careful how you use that word in future? "Just" (and also only) are tricky as well. Something that is "just" for you might be a very big deal for others.

6.7 and sore throat, slightly bunged up, bit of a headache… I think I’ve got a pesky cold. Other than that all is good.

I have banned myself from using the word “just” unless I’m talking about justice. I’m never “just” doing X or “just” asking Y etc.
And weighing in on “should” for a second, I’ve also worked very hard on switching that word out when I use it (or hear it) and replace it with “could”. It gives me agency whilst removing the declaration of obligation.

Morning all. 5.5. Like yesterday, it went lower when I came downstairs, and had to have breakfast first. Not that I'm complaining!

Floris has left the building, yesterday was wild, and not in a 60s type of wild! I didn't quite see a trampoline flying over the garden but I wouldn't have been surprised if one had. Lots of leaves and bits of cardboard from the compost heap, one outdoor tomato plant over and my courgette plant doesn't look well. Today's forecast is a moderate breeze and lightning. We were hoping to get out for a walk today, need some exercise as been stuck in for two days, apart from a trip to Aldi in the car.

It's baby Rocco's first birthday today. What a quick year that's been, it was stormy that day too and roads were flooded. We gave him his presents on Sunday and we're having a beige buffet on Thursday lunch time with his cousins.

Have a good day and I hope everyone is safe after yesterday.

Morning all. 🙂 10.4 here - can I count it as two HS's? Really diabetes, you give, you take away...you're a big meanie.

Overcast, as forecast, here this morning while the rest of Spain cooks. Temperatures in the 40s for a lot of people further south, eek. Glad to hear there were no flying trampolines @eggyg!

I tried out my new toy yesterday - it's a very long-handled pruning device with a sort of pump action. I did an hour's work with it yesterday and made good progress on the wall of overgrown trees guarding what used to be an orchard. Hubby's coming at it from the other side with his chainsaw, so hopefully we'll get it all tidied up by the time we go home. There's all sorts of trees in there - apricot, walnut, apple. Yum!

Morning all a lovely sunny crisp start to the day. Was up till 245am tidying my room (to much watching Tidy up your life in 7 days on BBC I. Player) it looks great all my dvds and most of my cds on display. I got up at 5am feel great both physically and mentally. Have ordered some under the bed storage fabric containers for my shoes/clothes/cds. Also sorted out my toiletries. I have enught to last me six months now. Also discovered dvds and cds that are still shrink wrapped, you know what I'm watching/listening to for the next few days. Among the dvds was Gone with the WInd a classic which i will watch SAturday night a real treat, i might even go as far as some popcorn Yar boo sucks to the diabetic fairy.
BG was at 742am 6.0
You all have a good safe happy day, love to all. Best wishes to everyone especially anyone on their own and or struggling
Take care all my on-line family
Gail
xx.

Good morning, 5.6 here
Joined @MikeyBikey in the wideawake club last night and ended up taking the dog for a walk at 2.30am. She is always up for a walk, day or night.
Got back and still couldn't sleep, finally dozed off around 4.30. Feeling a bit spaced out but I will get up after I've finished this coffee, otherwise I won't be sleepy tonight.

Morning all. 8.3. When i went to bed i was 5.3 so i had a small teaspoon of peanut butter which then sent me to 14!! Weekly shop needs to be done this morning as i have a doctors appointment tomorrow. If its still dry when i get back, i'll mow the lawn.

Congrats on the HS @MikeyBikey

A nice round 5 for me today. All calm after yesterday's windiness. 🙂

Morning and a 5.3 for me and another decent sleep and lovely and fresh this morning.
Escaped the storm so garden remains intact and another quiet day with trip to see Solicitor this morning and a Vets trip with cat for 6 month check.
Had eye test yesterday ( not diabetic screening) and all OK for another 12 months.
Getting 99% TIR for last 7 days so hopefully things continue as they are.
Have a good Tuesday.

Good morning - 9.2

Have a great day everyone.

7.2 today

TC everyone

4.4 this morning for me.

Not been on this thread for a few days due to life being a bit of a whirlwind (without Floris!) trying to sort out Mum & Dad’s finances, house sale, etc., etc. oh, and also getting ready for our holiday! One day to go and we’re packed and pretty well ready.

Hope everyone is ok, hugs for those struggling or unwell. I’ll try and catch up but after our few days in Daytona Beach we will be without internet for a week. Mind you, having a break from continual messages from Dad about this that and the other with the house and requests to bring things to him will be very welcome!

Take care everyone!

Morning all. I’m afraid it’s 8.8 this morning. Strangely it takes over 4/5 hours for my evening meal to top out - the graph just gradually rises and the earlier readings give me a false sense of security.

We’re off to the garden centre to buy a birthday present plant for a friend.

Nick

9.5 after a night time of 6s &7s, the first time in range for a few days.
Windy and overcast here, the breeze has abated somewhat after Floris.

Had an early start as we were expecting the builder, he duly arrived and told me what he wanted clearing for this mornings work. He's measuring, crashing and banging now. I keep telling myself that all this work, once done, will make things better. This is the most work since the extension, 95 years ago.
I spent early hours transferring stuff into the cellar from the kitchen in readiness for the concrete fireplace to be removed this week.

I think I can hear noises from upstairs, does this mean that my Lady is up and about?

Congratulations @MikeyBikey on todays HS.

Have a good day everyone, and stay safe.

Morning all and 5.4 for.me.

Depleted rehearsal last night. No singer and drummer cried off at last minute as his girlfriend who is an undertaker had to arrange collection of a body. Nevermind we sorted out a set our stand in guitarist is happy with.

Garage dropped car off yesterday so waterproofs not required.

Wind and rain abating so will venture out and get some provisions in.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone. I’m joining @MikeyBikey on the 5.2 step today.

Have a great day everyone and stay well.
