Evening, 6.1 for me much earlier today.

I had a scan today. Baby is looking very healthy indeed at an estimated 2.5lb! Also, definitely a little boy

7 yo had her end of term show today. She was brilliant leading the other children in a dance and seemed to enjoy it.

We are now in the car travelling to Pembroke to stay with my mum for a few days 🙂

Morning all. 6.3 on this lovely morning. No rain.

We’re off to Yorkshire today and the weather is forecast to be just right. No rain, 22 degrees and sunny intervals in Wetherby where we’re staying tonight, and 25 degrees at Wentworth tomorrow with light cloud, perfect for wandering about. We’re not hurrying to get away, maybe leave 11ish and stop for a bit lunch somewhere. Looking forward to it all.

I forgot to mention yesterday that our eldest grandson has finally passed his driving test. You’ll have all seen the news about the shortage of tests, his last one was in March and he just couldn’t get another in the area, he had to book one in Wales for September to just keep his “place”. Then he managed to get one in the county, in Workington, for November! He had an app that he checked every day for new dates and lo and behold 14th July came up in Carlisle. A miracle cancellation! He never told anyone, not even his parents, the first we knew was a WhatsApp on the family group at 11am on Monday morning. Absolutely thrilled, for us as well as him! No more, “ can you pick me up from work, and take me back for 6am the next day!” It’s even better for his parents who have driven him in to work everyday for two years! He was only 16 when he started working, so it’s been a long slog for them.

Have a wonderful Wednesday. I believe it could be hot again down south so take care.

6.2

Yesterday was unexpectedly lovely. Went with a friend to the V&A for the Design and Disability exhibition which was interesting. Then the Donmar to see Intimate Apparel which was good. Stopped at a cracking little Mediterranean/Israeli place in Soho for a bite.
It’s a five hander about a black seamstress in early 1900’s New York. She specialises in making exquisite corsets for well to do white women.
Beautifully written, tight direction, good set design, great cast etc. Solid 4 stars from me.

Volunteering today and then a picnic this evening.

Good morning all
A bit of a chilly start to the day here. Bit dull as well. Hoping to go out on Indie today I need to get out I'm going a bit stir crazy.

Morning all. 6 2 and the flattest overnight line i've seen in a very long time. I'm off to do the weekly shop soon then go to my friend's house for our weekly cuppa and craft.
@eggyg have a safe journey and a lovely trip.

Morning all. 🙂 7.5 here.

I met some friends for a coffee yesterday at the beach. When I arrived everyone in the café seemed a bit flustered - they’d just witnessed two guys in their 70s being saved by a lifeguard. They’d been caught in a rip tide and driven towards the rocks. One of them was cut and bashed all over. Honestly, the sea was ROUGH. What on earth were they doing swimming?!

Sunny atm but rain forecast for tomorrow, so I’ll be out front pruning our wayward hedge - make hay while the sun shines and all that.

A 5.9 for me today. 🙂
It's a chilly 22°C inside at the moment.

6.8 this morning after a low at 3.10am. Just wanted to test what happens if my going to bed reading is around 5. Gentle curve downwards to the alarm. Off to the clinic this morning. Clarity received by text yesterday that this is with the Dietitian Clinic as a result of an earlier “internal referral” after my previous regular appt that they should offer “support”. First I’ve heard of that. Never mind, let’s see what happens.

Lovely morning here, with a little rain (too little) yesterday evening. How do I retrieve the seeds for future use from my now wilting sunflower?

Nick

Morning

5.2 today after being more hungry than usual yesterday. Today I will be mostly crotcheting, although inspired by sewing bee I might get my sewing machine out and make myself something using the many patterns and fabric I have hoarded since watching sewing bee. Later on taking mum for her follow up appointment after her laser eye surgery, followed by hill run with the running group.

@eggyg - enjoy your trip and congratulations to your grandson on passing his driving test.

In other news it may have rained here late yesterday evening, I am not quite sure as it was dark so I couldn’t quite see if it was.

Leave the flower on the plant and let it go way over. It needs to dry out on the plant so that all the petals have fallen off and the head is brown. Then take it off.

Morning folks. 7.8 today. Weather has gone from cloudy and spitting rain when I let the chickens out, to sunshine and clouds. Looks a nice day to garden. If we do get the light rain forecast later I will probably work through it. The temperature is suiting me fine.

Congratulations on your HS @Grannylorraine
Congrats to your grandson on passing his driving test @eggyg and enjoy your trip to Yorkshire

Calling a friend in a few minutes. Her pond pump is not working and my hubby said he would look at it if she's at home today. Need to get more milk and bread while we are out too.
Happy hump day, it will be the weekend before we know it. Take care

Morning all - well it's another grey day, not so much wind but there's a light spitting of rain.

8.6 this morning. The low alarm kept going off between midnight and 3am and I consumed umpteen glucose tablets and two biscuits. When I looked at the insulin the pump was giving me it was increasing it in line with the stuff I was consuming. I came to the conclusion I don't understand enough about CamAPS so I need to find out pronto. Anyway, I put it onto "ease off" for 6 hours, hence the waking level of 8.6 this morning.

I think today's excitement will be making a cottage pie. It will be the first cooking I have done since I got home from France and if I'm not particularly looking forward to standing chopping and peeling etc I am looking forward to eating something home made! Last night's M&S fish and chips that J prepared in the air fryer was very dry!!!

Congratulations to @eggyg 's grandson on passing his test.
Congratulations to @Grannylorraine on your HS

All of you going on trips have a lovely time.... the rest of you enjoy your days!
