A close, but no cigar, 5.3 on this glorious morning. I’m finally getting used to the Fiasp after two weeks. I am enjoying being able to have my breakfast almost as soon as I get up. Today was 15 minutes, as opposed to the hour or even hour and a half on the NR. It’s great at eliminating huge spikes too, unless I’ve been naughty and had an illicit snack without bolusing! I’m very happy with it, got an appointment with DSN on the 30th to discuss how I’ve got on. TIR for the last 14 days is 90%. Happy with that. 1% hypos, that’ll have been the first few days when I didn’t realise how quick it acted! The other 9% is illicit snacks!
😉
We’re going dishwasher shopping this morning, ASAP! Our ancient NEFF, we’re thinking we’ve had it at least 20 years maybe 25 years, has finally given up the ghost, after being virtually rebuilt by Mr Eggy over the last few years. New pumps, new switches for something or other, leaks fixed umpteen times. I’ve had to put up with it being pulled out into the middle of the kitchen quite a few times in the last five years or so, sometimes for weeks! I would say “ let’s just buy another one”. But no, stubborn old fool insisted he would fix it, once an engineer always an engineer, this time I have put my foot down. TBF, it’s been rubbish for the last couple of weeks and we did say we’re going to need a new one soon and he agreed, so when we realised on coming to bed last night at 11pm and it was still running ( should have been finished for hours), pump gone, but the dishes hadn’t been washed, the decision was quite easy. Although there was an ever so slight hesitation on his side, I could see his mind whirring!
After the dishwasher shopping, and after lunch, I’m off to youngest daughter’s. To do her ironing! They are going on a two week cruise on Saturday and she’s working Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. Moo Music today for the girls, and swimming and hair cut and coloured on Thursday. Finishes work at 5pm on Friday and then the hordes, all 15 of us, are going to our local Indian restaurant to celebrate Mr Eggy’s 65th birthday, two days early. She’s in a panic as she’s so much to do. I said I would iron the girls’ clothes and get them packed. I will also write her a list and ask her to prioritise the tasks. Because they’ve just moved she’s used all her leave up, bad timing, and has prioritised sorting the house out and the holiday has just crept up on them. They are going with her in laws, who very generously have paid half. Lucky people. And lucky us we will have two whole weeks without childcare and helping with swimmimg days! Woo hoo! What terrible people we are!
Congratulations
@Lisa65 on your HS.
@Robin our girls made up a hamper for their dad, wine, cheese, crackers, chutneys etc, and chocolates. Guess who cracked open the chocolates?
😉
Have a Happy Monday folks.
