Group 7-day waking average?

4.6 this morning and on the bottom between 4 and 5 so fairly straight line but still shot up to 10.6 after lunch which was a cheese sandwich with low carb bread, I don't understand why this is happening, ive increased my Basel over the last 2 weeks from 22 to 28. Horrible weather here, it's not stopped raining all day.

Evening and very late on parade with an 8.2 after a late chip butty before bed ( really should have said no) but my wife got in late and had spare chips and I did not want to waste them.
Went highest I had been for ages and took a while to get back under control.
Been better today and up very early tomorrow and on road so won’t have time to post.
Dropped dogs off for a little holiday as I am in Berkshire for 2 days so busy.
Need to get my little bit of packing done etc so have a good week all

Hello everyone - I’ve been AWOL as have been on a sailing boat in Svalbard for over a week. I’ve joined my hubby who is ski touring (spending several hours climbing a mountain and then skiing down). I can’t go ashore as there is a polar bear risk and I’m not licensed to carry a rifle so I’m being incredibly lazy and watching loads of things that I downloaded, reading, looking at the astonishing land/seascape and eating HUGE amounts. My TIR is plummeting and I’m using far more insulin than usual. I’m not sure why I’m bothering to put my Fitbit on in the mornings BUT I’m loving it. Here are a few pics. I’m looking forward to heading home on Saturday and moving more but for now I’m happy giving the walruses a run for their money Zzzz

Sounds like you need some bolus insulin... but what do I know?

7.6 here many hours ago and I apologise for being so late on parade. Been a shade damp most of today, light winds though so that was a blessing when we made our way in to town.

Had a guitar lesson at midday and we managed: Kneel to the Cross - Sol Inviticus, The Sound of Silence - Simon and Art Garfunkle, Hotel California - Eagles & Whiskey in the Jar - Thin Lizzy.

BG have behaved for the bulk of the day and coming to the end of a 15 day stint with the sensor which has behaved itself. I wonder if the replacement will be as settled

Have a good evening/night and I'll probably be late on parade tomorrow too. Sleep well.

Evening I’m Mr last on parade today, was 5.9 this morning,
I’m ok but it’s been a mad busy day for me today sorting out to retain some required information relating to expense claims, pay slips P60’s etc for the last few years
been fighting technology tonight, trying to get a new iPad set up on a previously used Apple account this evening, but as I couldn’t find nor remember one of the needed passwords
have been round a loop for the last few hours, trying to please an algorithm..😉

Morning all. 6.4 after another day on the insulin resistant Roller Coaster. Well, I was very close to Blackpool’s Pleasure Beach yesterday. 😉

Had a great night at Lancaster listening to two middle aged men reading out poems for two hours! Really, it was brilliant, they were so funny. I’ve a couple of Brian Bilston books and I follow him on FB so a few of his poems I knew but he brought them to life as he read them in the way he intended.

We had our tea in ‘spoons about 6pm, I know where I am with their fish and chips, it’s difficult for me eating out with my gastric issues. I did a split bolus, didn’t want my Libre alarm going off in the theatre, nor did I want to go hypo! Wandered round the town for half an hour to work off our tea, went to theatre and had cake and a cuppa! I know, I know. 🙄 Had another dose of insulin. Show started 7.30. At the interval at 8.45 I was 13! Had some more insulin, I’m doing a Barbara @rebrascora I thought. Show finished at 10, quick check before we set off home incase I was low! Hah! Over 15! Still had insulin running through my body. Held my nerve and I was “only” 11 when I got home at 11! Straight to bed no correction. Im actually having a face to face appointment on Monday with a DSN, I asked for it, last time I saw one was 2019! It’s primarily to discuss my annual review results but I’ve a long list of questions/demands. One is I want to be referred to the hospital. Been once in 2018 to discuss going on a DAFNE course, which I did and got re diagnosed as 3c and put on Levemir, then, nowt! It’s my own fault I’ve just plodded on and my hba1c has been fine. But as I’m getting older things are much harder to manage. Let’s see.

Busy day today, Zara and Eden will arrive at 8.30 for their regular childcare. At 9am the farmers’ daughters, Poppy and Sadie, will arrive for their two night all inclusive city break! I’ll leave them all at 3pm with their Gaga to go to the hospital for my three yearly boob squashing. I’m not looking forward to that but needs must.

@zippyjojo what fab photos. The walruses, wow!
@Lisa65 no prizes but I’ve given you a star for your flatfish.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and I hope no one joins me on the rollercoaster!

Good morning all hope you are all well and happy in your lives. i had a bad nights sleep nightmares that kept waking me up. Night terrors I have a difficult phone call to make today and that does not help at all. Onwards and upwards. Hoping the rain will hold off for a while as want to get out on Indie.
BG was 4.7 well chuffed I will get 5.2 one of these days lol
take care all
love gail

Morning all, 7.0 here, and a steady dawn rise from 4am. Had a soggy ride in the rain yesterday, thank goodness for my all enveloping riding mac. It was forecast to rain at 11am, I was just getting tacked up and mounted at 10, and the heavens opened. Children were just arriving for an 'own a pony' day, when they learn about horse care and do some riding. Yard owner muttered through clenched teeth 'we desperately need the rain, but did it have to do it half term week?'

Morning and with a 7.7 but started to go up higher after toast and cereal for breakfast. As off at crack of sparrows no time for a walk and on a long drive I prefer to stay high just not as high as double figures.
Greetings from Oxford Services so been on road since 5 and had some insulin to bring BG down from 12.5.
My meetings are good but really wrecks my routine and TIR etc.
Anyway have plenty of time but finished my coffee so will get back on road.
Have a good day all and yes my BG control is not great but must admit getting up early and on road does energise me but not sure how I will be by tea time.

Morning all. 🙂 7.1 here.

The roller coaster is my every day normal, unfortunately @eggyg! Glad to hear you enjoyed your night out.

It’s not raining (yet)! A long walk this morning to tire out the pooches and then some gardening if the rain holds off. I’ve got vinca and bindweed fighting for domination in the corner by the hedge - h-hm, I’m the boss in the garden, and they’re both getting a severe trim / pulling up. It’s like Star-trek out there - the Cling-ons Vs the Borg.

Morning all. A surprising 9.3 with a unicorn day yesterday. I expected this morning's level to be lower. Oh well. Yesterday in the loft i cleared a 8 inch high pile of paper from courses i had to do through work, some back in 2005!! Also cleared 2 bin bags of clothes that i no longer fit into but kept "just in case". I'll never get back to the size i was when i was diagnosed so they're in the garage waiting to go to the charity shop.

We went to see a show at a theatre yesterday. Called The Shoddy Detective, it was very funny, cleverly written and played.

Today is weekly shop day then my friend is coming for a cuppa and craft.

Gorgeous photos @zippyjojo

But how long did it stay at 10.6? That’s the crucial bit because even “normal” people’s BG rise when they’ve eaten.

Morning all. 7.2 - took quite a lot of insulin during the day yesterday to combat the many snacks and very late dinner. We were sailing for 12 hours (not that I was doing any of it). I basically binge watched the Pan Am 103 BBC series and snoozed. Beautiful views when we eventually anchored at about 11pm. Have a good day everyone - I’m going to try to get my steps up to 2K today IMG_7820.jpeg

This morning I scored a "foive" as Janice Nicholls would have said. 🙂
Forecast mostly cloudy with drizzle :(

Good morning all. 4.7 today for me, back to my version of “normal”.

Been our usual busy selves, although yesterday I did manage to spend almost all day on the radio. Bit disappointing though as the band wasn’t very good and a lot of noise so I didn’t make any contacts. But that’s what it is and persistence and perseverance is the name of the game. I did get my certificate through the post though which is a boost, looking forward to the Full course in August.

Visiting friends today whom we haven’t seen for ages due to holidays, ours and theirs.

@zippyjojo - fantastic pictures! Looks like you had a great time, must visit one day ourselves.

@eggyg - was it actually Brian Bilston you saw or someone reading his poems? I too follow him on FB and love his poetry.

Have a good day everyone!

Morning all and 6.1 for me although three glucose top ups were required which was surprising as BG just kept on rising last night. Hey ho back on track now

No rehearsal last night due to guitarist stuck on the motorway. Should still be good for tonight though.

Have a good day everyone.
