Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning all. 4.7 today for me, back to my version of “normal”.

Been our usual busy selves, although yesterday I did manage to spend almost all day on the radio. Bit disappointing though as the band wasn’t very good and a lot of noise so I didn’t make any contacts. But that’s what it is and persistence and perseverance is the name of the game. I did get my certificate through the post though which is a boost, looking forward to the Full course in August.

Visiting friends today whom we haven’t seen for ages due to holidays, ours and theirs.

@zippyjojo - fantastic pictures! Looks like you had a great time, must visit one day ourselves.

@eggyg - was it actually Brian Bilston you saw or someone reading his poems? I too follow him on FB and love his poetry.

Have a good day everyone!
It was the actual Brian Bilston, or so he said, how would we know he never shows his face on social media! 😛

6.0 again on this bright and sunny Berkshire morning. Rained on and off all day yesterday but it's been so dry for so long I didn't actually mind. Bit of a novelty driving with the wipers going.

Long-overdue haircut this morning, a bit of grocery shopping, tackle the midweek laundry and settle down to watch some tennis from Roland Garros either side of lunch. Emma Raducanu's playing today. As usual on a Wednesday everyone's at work, so I have the day to myself.

Whatever your plans, enjoy your day.

6.6 for me
Morning all
Seen the audiologist yesterday about my tinnitus, tuned my hearing aids and I must admit it makes a difference. Working in the house today, cleaning, dusting, washing down the bathroom walls, my wife used to do all this but I’m afraid her disability prevents it. She does get frustrated but she now accepts she must take it easy, still helps and I appreciate it.
Have a great day everyone

10:35 BS 8.7 A bit higher than I’d like but, I’m being too picky! Yesterday was a much more stable BS day & didn’t need to head off any hypos! I still had a NR free dinner of cuppa soup & cheese crumbles that maybe needed a bit of bolus but, I couldn’t tell you how much so, just as well I didn’t! No red on the graph & was pretty flat ish after initial rise of the soup & was in the 7’s until the last hour before I woke! So, that’s the kind of graph & shape I would wish for overnight & asking for a mmol lower is just too greedy! >>😉😉

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Text message from chemist yesterday afternoon so, rang them just now for the delivery but, they’re short of drivers today so, may not be delivered today, up to 6pm, but, if not, will be tomorrow? To my surprise both health centre & chemist were doing prescriptions as normal on Monday: don’t know if the health centre was open; prescriptions were issued, though & the chemist duly picked them up! I could have had my prescription yesterday but, I forgot to check if my phone had battery power as I forget to do at times as my phone can last 6/7 days on one charge & once lasted 8 days! My libre phone, on the other hand lasts about 2/3 days! I only checked it last night & saw the text message then. I wasn’t expecting it until today at the earliest or tomorrow after the Bank Holiday! Text measure service already very useful & just need to remember to check if phone has power! 🙄:D

Morning folks. A 7.4 to start the day. Nice to see the sun again although yesterday's rain was appreciated.
Planning to inspect my hives this morning as it's sunny, warm and not very windy. Still feeling a bit blegh but I will probably be fine in a day or so.
Love the photos of Svalbard @zippyjojo

Have a good day and take care peoples

Morning everyone. A happy 5.5 for me this sunny morning.

Afternoon all - it was dull this morning after yesterday's teeming rain - but we now have blue sky and full on sunshine.

5.4 this morning with a nice flat line. Yesterday I was all over the place, but we had lunch at some friends' house and I didn't have a clue how to bolus for it. It was wraps with 3 or 4 types of complicated salads and some chicken curry, followed by tiramisu and then a selection of cheeses. Just kept guessing and adding a bit of insulin.

Ate lunch 1.5 hours ago, a bacon roll. Am now cruising along at 9.8 having split the bolus into half up front and half as a slowly absorbed meal - given the butter and the protein and fat of the bacon. This is an experiment. We shall see... Oh, meant to mention the bread rolls - they are Lidl part baked protein rich rolls which weigh in at 18.8g carb each, which is very low for a bread roll! They are also quite tasty.

Am shortly off to have my eyes tested at Specsavers, though I've not had my present glasses a year yet... but they called me up, so I shall go. I'd prefer not to go any higher before the test as it can skew sight a bit.

Take care all... have a good day!

Afternoon was 6 today but currently in Double figures (just)

Have a wonderful Wednesday 😉

Had a huge gap between breakfast & lunch just now that tells me half way through day 3 of 50 tresiba that’s there’s still a very slow drift downwards from breakfast in the 10’s to low 5’s in 6.5 hours: was waiting for asda shopping which just came & I dinged a frozen spaghetti bolognaise that they do for a bargain £1; basal will go down to 48 tomorrow! Apart from that I’m a pretty happy bunny today! Chemist didn’t deliver but, that’s ok & it’ll come tomorrow!

A certain well known ear worm has been stuck in my head for about a week now & it’s “Happy Birthday” in Russian! There’s just something about it being in Russian that just makes it extra perky & happy that it keeps popping into my head: saw 1.5 years ago on youtube when a Russian fan of the Chinese actor that I’m a fan of Xu Kai posted it for his then 29th birthday! I kinda remember the words in my head but, of course can’t really pronounce the words so, it’s a funny mix of me making up my own mangled Russian: it must look insane if others see me; I don’t care, though, as it makes me happy! o_O:rofl:😉 It’s combo of my weight loss, lower basal & general outlook on life! It’s not quite the old “Sunny on the inside” feeling but, it’s getting there! :D

An 8.1 this a.m., quickly rising. Been a mixed sort of day - rain this morning followed by sunny interludes, clouded over now. No doubt it's going to rain.

I got to town with support this midday. A walk from the taxi-rank to the prom, and down until we we're level pegging with the craft bar. Well, it'd be rude not to.

We've also been watching back-to-back episodes of Pan Am 103 @zippyjojo over the past couple of days, we had to watch them twice as my Mrs. fell asleep through them the first time!

Pool tomorrow if I'm/We're ok to get out at lunchtime and my BG hasn't dropped too far. Twice now I've encountered a hypo at the same time as rushing round the table - both out of the blue!

Have a good evening and a peaceful night.

Morning all. 6.6 on this very wet day. Yesterday was lovely, sunny with a slight chilly breeze at times. Should have put a wash on. The tumble dryer will be getting dusted off today.

It was a very tiring day yesterday, Eden was very clingy, she was like a marmoset monkey with her legs clenched round my waist and didn’t want to be put down and do hard to get anything done. Even her big cousin, who she adores, couldn’t settle her. Poor Mr Eggy was left with all four of them when I went for my mammogram. He took them all to the river to play Pooh sticks. She hasn’t settled since they moved. I suppose you can’t explain to a one year old why all of a sudden you’re living somewhere else. She’ll probably just get settled and then they’re off on a cruise for two weeks next month. #firstworldproblems

The two big ones are still fast asleep, as is Mr Eggy, I’ve got a cut and colour at 10. No walks to the river today, but at least we don’t have the little ones so a bit of a calmer day.

Have a lovely day.

Morning all. 5.6 for me...wow, first morning reading under 6 for a long time. Fab!

It’s a tip run this morning then a visit to the garden centre and supermarket. Hubby’s back from Spain tomorrow. It’s his 60th next week (on my busiest day at work, unfortunately). I bought some kids’ dinosaur candles yesterday (he’s a dinosaur, haha), so I must remember to buy him a cake! No sunshine as yet - fingers crossed, yesterday was a scorcher.

Morning all, 7.6, Dawn is still in residence.
Went to Grape Tree yesterday to replenish jelly baby supplies, and was delighted to find a packet with loads of red ones and hardly any green and they’re not just hiding under the label, I turned the bag over to check, because I wouldn’t put it past them to be devious like that. (aficionados of the odious green ones can look away now, @eggy, I’m thinking of you).

Good morning, a rather disappointing 8.1 after a few too many chilli peanuts last night. Today looks a bit damp and drizzly although I have nothing planned except for taking the dog out later.
Just ordered a knee support on Amazon, although my sciatica pain has gone I am still having some pain in that knee exacerbated by walking, but the dog doesn't care about my suffering and insists on going out regardless
Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all. 5.1, so close. Today i need to do a basket of ironing, have hair trimmed, a trip to Lidl and B&M then up to mums to help her put on a heart monitor that the NHS are sending through the post, which she has to return by post 3 days later. I hope its easy to put on, i've done first aid but i'm no medical professional.

It was lovely and sunny when i got up though quite breezy. One load of washing is out, another in the machine, but now clouds are overhead. Fingers crossed for no rain today.
