Volunteering yesterday was as lovely as it usually is.
At a dance thing this evening, Breaking Convention at Sadler’s Wells. It’s a hip-hop and breakdancing festival. Not quite sure what to expect but might be fun.
4.1 today, but at least my stomach seems to have settled down. Feeling very weak and achy, so going to have another lazy day of doing nothing, may attempt some knitting or crotchet later.
Morning all from beautiful Harris. 6.2 at 7.45!
I actually had a blooming lie in! We were absolutely shattered last night, didn’t arrive until 9.30, emptied the car put the fridge stuff away and went to bed.
We’ve unpacked now and had breakfast, chilling now with Wordle and our socials, overlooking the estuary and the sands. Absolutely stunning. Dry and bright (ish) but a cool breeze. A nice relaxed day today, a walk to get our bearings for a start, then I’m happy to stare out of the window for the rest of the day. The cottage is gorgeous, a real home from home. @zippyjojo has thought of everything.
@PattiEvans great news, @Eternal422 hope your mum settles soon, try and enjoy your holidays, she’s in safe hands.
Coming into Harris at 9pm last night. Our view this morning.
Good morning 5.4 - no idea why/how as had a very high carb day yesterday including a baguette and marmalade for supper...chane!ling my inner Paddington. May be the effect of shivering half the night - it turned quite cold and I havent worked out how to turn the heating on - perhaps that burned off the carbs! Buried myself under 2 duvets and read a Felix Francis - not a patch on his old Dad. Job for today - find the heating switch. Need to rest up a bit today as over did the lurching yesterday so shoulder muscles cramping and rt knee shouting vulgar abuse. Dont think I will be joining @ColinUK for break dancing just yet...
Hope everyone enjoying the Bank Holiday.
Morning all. 3.4 which i treated and is now in the 7s. I'm going round to mum's this morning to help her shower and we may see friends this afternoon, still not sure what is happening. Other than that, a lazier day.

Happy Star Wars Day
was 6.4 on waking today, this morning I’ve been busy catching up with posts on here and some you tube
now just having my brunch, had a really good day at the exercise program I do on a Saturday morning, I’ve just booked through until mid June now, the co-ordinating suggested it’s gong to be on-going and throughout next year which was welcome news
following the walking football home showered then went to see Northamptons last game of the season
Mrs G & I will be off into town shortly, I badly need to get a haircut especially if I go BTW in the week or look for another job, which still might be what’s for the best
we were ment to be helping a friend at a music festival today, although in the end our friend had to change her plans
@ColinUK be careful breakdancing tonight (your obviously feeling young today) @eggyg enjoy your holiday
congratulations on the HS @Lisa65 plus @Colin g & @Pam123 on yours yesterday
5.4 this morning another busy day in the garden laying the new patio, I found a fantastic set of solid wood garden chairs and table from Debenhams on line sale, reduced from £826 to £206 so very happy with that hope everyone has a great bank holiday.
8.9 today after last nights' biscuit binge at midnight, will I ever get out of the habit? Had a binge-day yesterday with biscuits, cakes, bread and crisps all about 2 hours after an insulin dose; gonna have to behave today.
Just back from Fusion Church after an enlightening morning, learning a few bits of anti-logic, from an outside perspective - still not swayed but at least, I am finding the whole church-thing and christian teachings, of interest. It was lovely to see my OH getting into the worship aspect in a more fulfilling way - that is all I need at the moment, just to see her express herself.
I connect through the music - acoustic guitar and piano keyboard, the lyrics are self-contemplating and the tunes complimentary - just as music should be.
The weather has turned a lot cooler today in the biting northerly, blue skies and 'Simpson clouds' again.
I concur with @gail2 on the section 117, it is through this that I receive care from an agency several times a week, keeping me stable. It was been this way for the last 20 years.
Good afternoon folks. It's cold and windy here today. Good start this morning with a 7.3. Busy in the garden clearing more undergrowth and brambles. Long sleeves and thick jeans. Glad it is not hot weather now.
The apiary visit was not the best. The promised sunshine only showed up for about an hour altogether and the bees were very grumpy. One newbie brought his 13 Yr old son who is very interested in bees but freaked out a bit when several hundred buzzed around the hives and beekeepers. He took himself away from the apiary and back to his dad's car. Dad couldn't leave as the practical session was part of his training course. I went to check on him and made sure he was OK and hadn't been stung.
The other experienced keeper and me both got attacked by the bees. He got 4 stings and I got one sting through the arm of my suit. We both spent some time pulling out the stings out of our suits that didn't reach our skin.
Congrats on your HS @Lisa65
Lovely scenic views @eggyg
Hope @Bexlee and @@grannylorraine feel better soon
Happy Star Wars day everyone. It is also my brother's birthday today and coincidentally he was born in 1977, the year the first film came out.
Sorry to disappoint you but he is not called Luke. I did choose his name though.
I think he gets a bit tired of the greeting every year on his birthday from so many people. I don't think I watched the film until the following year.
