Morning all, 4.3 here, though I think my new sensor may be reading a bit low, it was 2mml out with a fingerprick last night. That’s the annoying thing about the Libre 2+ lasting for 15 days, I always used to swap over on Sundays, when I could put the new one on and let it bed in for a few hours before the old one ended. But it needed doing yesterday, when I didn’t want to put it on and immediately go for a hot sweaty ride, so I had to put it on at lunchtime after my shower and start it up immediately. I do find, with me, that they sometimes (but not always) take a while to reach top speed.

Morning all. 🙂 7.1 here.

We’ve got a friend staying this weekend. Since we’re going to a Welsh music festival near Cardigan this evening, we’re dragging him along too. He likes a drink 😉 and wants to make sure he can ask for a beer in Welsh - could be a long day!

The sun’s shining...life’s good.

Morning all. A higher 9 for me though starting to drop a bit now. Off out for the day with hubby.

@eggyg have a safe trip, hope the ferry runs on time.

@Bloden enjoy the festival.

Have a good day everyone.

A 5.6 for me this morning. 🙂

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! WAY too cautious on the dinner NR before bed last night & WHOPPER to wake on 06:17 BS 15.9! 😱 😳 OOPS! So, I stuck in 8 NR without anything which, I HOPED would work as NR without food is risky for me & most of the time doesn’t work: how I ended up in hospital 2 years ago; still FT testing then I couldn’t see my BS wobbling at a high level for hours on end when I kept adding more & more NR without eating & my body just seemed to absorb & tolerate it as BS went down & back up again in very short spaces of time! I just NEVER managed to catch it when it went down & kept putting in more & more NR! The doctors said my insulin resistance was SO high it wasn’t just resistance but, tolerance. Now 2 years later thanks to being able to see what’s going on with the libre I’ve learnt how best to deal with it & while it’s still high, it’s gotten a LOT better & SOMETIMES, I find in the mornings upon first waking, insulin on an empty stomach DOES work! But, I prefer waiting to correct at the next meal most of the time!

It didn’t seem to work at first this morning but, it did work eventually & I’m now at 08:21 BS 12.3 & NOW starting to get hungry & want to eat when I felt quite stuffed from dinner still when I woke earlier!

A Very Good Morning to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m going to have breakfast now!

Morning, 6.8 here. I couldn't sleep last night and ended up taking the dog to the park at 1.00am!
Pitch black because they turn the street lights off at midnight here. Armed with a torch we spent 45 minutes exploring the park, she must have sniffed almost every blade of grass and rolled on the ones she didn't sniff
Anyway I was starving when we got back so had a bit of pork pie, hence the slightly higher reading on waking. I finally nodded off about 3am. Normally I sleep well but last night seemed very warm and stuffy.
Today is cloudy but still feeling warm.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning everyone

BG 4.8

Sainsburys delivery due around 9am but just got an email telling me that the item I ordered for a friends meal for Monday is not available. Not sure what to cook on Monday now.

Just discovered on the internet that I've been taking one of my meds at the wrong time of day for years! I always take it early in the morning but looking on the internet this morning I discovered that I should be talking it in the evening. Whoops.

Nothing much planned for today

Have a great day today whatever you are doing
I’d not worry too much. Met a medical research scientist whilst on holiday and he’d been involved in refining efficacy tests for many of our day to day medications.
I asked him about time of day guidelines. He said he takes all of his meds and stuff in one hit regardless of what the official advice is.
I queried that and he said yes it can make a difference but it’s negligible compared to taking or not taking the meds at all.

6.0 this morning.

Was supposed to go and see Katherine Ryan at the palladium last night but didn’t feel like it so didn’t bother.
Was in bed by 9 and pretty much slept through to 5am so that was time well spent.

Today I’m volunteering at Queer Britain all day (well from 11:30 - 18:00) so I’m thinking about what I’m going to rock in the way of eye looks perhaps.

No theatre/dance/opera lined up for today so I’ll probably watch Etoile on Prime and maybe carry on with the latest season of Reacher and Andor.

I did a very speedy rainbow eye last time I was at QB but today I might go for contact lenses and something more dramatic

Morning and a 6.9 and a lazy start to the day.
Pizza induced burst of BG just before bed led to going a bit higher than I like but did sleep well.
Nice day yesterday going to tip and garden tidying and more time in garden today despite much colder day.
Went out for lunch yesterday as well which was nice but no ice cream as have over indulged this week.
See what today brings but have a lovely long w/ end one and all.

Impressed with London Palladium box office. They just called and said they noticed I didn’t turn up last night. The offered me tickets for tonight at no charge.

3.3 on waking today.

We had a long driving day yesterday with a trip to Castlepollard for my wife to relive some memories where a relative used to live. It’s about a 3 hour drive but passing through some lovely countryside. I’m still amazed at how the border isn’t obvious. The only way you know you have crossed is when you start seeing road signs in km/h or petrol stations in euros!

@eggyg - enjoy Scotland!

Take care everyone!

Morning all and 6.7 for me.

May have to look at basal as three glucotab stops were required during the night.

Not much planned for today. Need to check I've got bags that meet Ryanair rules as the zip's gone on my underseat bag. Probably due to cramming a laptop, clarinet and clothes in it.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all. A lovely sunny start again today, but with a cool breeze, just right for another
day gardening me thinks.

Anyway, it was a 4.3 for me earlier despite eating a Mars bar before bed last night. Have a
good rest of the day people and stay safe.

Kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend with a 5.8 this morning. Not much sunshine yet - it's one one those days with the sky the colour of milk - although it's warm and expected to be low-20s today. Tomorrow and Monday forecast to be much cooler, though.

Our eldest has gone to Wales to watch Swansea City's last game of the season, on his own as his brother didn't want to make the trip. He left early expecting some Bank Holiday traffic but didn't encounter any, so he's arrived a bit earlier than he needed to. At least it means he has time to grab some lunch before the 12:30 KO. Meanwhile my wife's gone off to explore some antique and reclamation places, looking for something for a friend's birthday.

Congrats @Colin g on your HS this morning

Hope you get over your D&V soon @Grannylorraine

Have a lovely Scottish break @eggyg

Whatever your plans, enjoy your Saturday. I'm back on summer house painting duty, but the inside this time.

8.7 today maily due to eating crisps at 0100 while my BG was rising, took 4u correction which worked a treat.
Today is a little cooler with intermittent blue-sky and sunshine with a light breeze.

We didn't get to the MiLs yesterday but maybe today when the psychosis gives me a break, it hasn't since last night when it appeared, hence the NOT sleeping!

We had two separate meals of Cottage Pie yesterday - lunch and dinner (dinner & Tea) which went down really with no spikes - nobody was more surprised!

Congratulations @Colin g on your HS earlier 😎

Enjoy Scotland @eggyg

Good afternoon folks. 7.7 this morning at 7am. Didn't sleep well last night and woke up hot and sweaty about 5.30am. Cat didn't seem to mind, she was snuggled under my armpit when I woke.
Busy morning again. Carboot sale visit was very good. Got some metposts and solar lights for the garden and some more plants.
Just finished lunch so heading out to the club apiary this afternoon.

Safe journey @eggyg and congrats on your HS @Colin g
Hope you feel better soon @@grannylorraine
Try not to worry about your mum @Eternal422. It will take her a bit longer to settle in. My mum had dementia and needed full time residential care when my dad could no longer cope. It took her a while to adjust. She liked her room with her own stuff, but found the communal areas a bit intimidating to begin with.

Enjoy the bank holiday weekend albeit a bit cooler than recently.
