Mornin' folks. Nice and sunny in Lincolnshire today. A 7.1 for me this morning. Back on the homemade yoghurt with berries and seeds. Frozen blueberries for now and no nuts. Forgot to buy them. 😱
Had a little wander around our fruit cage yesterday. Our blueberry bushes are just starting to flower and the gooseberries are leafing up. The new cherry trees have buds so we may get cherries this year. No sign of flowers on the strawberries or raspberries yet.

@TinaD hoping the operation goes well today.

Nice calm day forecast so lots of shredding planned and spraying some weedkiller over a very pernicious patch of brambles and nettles. Think I will harvest the nettle tips first and try some nettle soup. Not made it before and there is some homemade veggie stock in the fridge from the weekend.

5.6 on waking (but did go higher than normal for me overnight thanks to some late night eating. My blood glucose definitely prefers me to not eat after 8pm!)

Last day of AL today so just planning on a quiet one - as I'm fully expecting to step back into total bedlam tomorrow.

Still working on my blanket! I have 4/12 rows attached now so there's been progress!!

It was a disappointing 7.3 for me much earlier and that included a correction about 4am. No idea why as I ate a reasonably early low carb meal last night. Sirloin steak with ratatouille and broccoli. I got out for a walk yesterday, so I reduced my Levemir by a couple of units (down to 2u) but clearly I shouldn't have done on this particular occasion as my diabetes decided to buck the trend. Had to get up twice through the night to go to the loo too which just never happens even once normally, so something odd going on!

@Robin and @ColinUK Hope you both have a fab time and weather is kind to you.

@khskel Sorry to hear you had to say farewell to your rabbit.

Afternoon all - what a glorious day it is. Was hoping for a walk with my friend, but she's awaiting a delivery. Apparently been told it's being delivered between 12:30 and 2:30 - ah she's just WhatsApped to say it's arrived.

8.6 this morning.

I am much relieved as I have now solved my techie problem and can go ahead with the training for the new pump. I'm going to have to carry two phones around and together they weigh a blooming ton! That or buy a new phone - mine's not very old either - only a matter of months! Perhaps when we get back from our cruise.

Today is forecast sunny all day and 17° so my aim is to clean all of my windows inside and out. Its not an easy job as they're large windows for a semi detached

Well today hasn't turned out as i planned. I went upstairs with my bucket of hot soapy water, cloths, Karcher and a rechargeable brush for the corners of the windows. I washed the first window, turned on the Karcher...no use, it needed charging. Ok i thought, i'll do all the corners then clean the windows after the Karcher charged. Nope, the corner scrubber needed charging as well. It wouldn't even turn on!

So, i got in the car and went to the garden centre, i had to go the long way around as we have a few roads closed, every traffic light i got to was red. At least when i got there i picked up a large ceramic outdoor planter with 50% off, some tomato plants and some courgette seeds.

The windows will have to wait until tomorrow now. I'm off up the garden to weed.

5.6 this morning nothing exciting today just gym and picked up a few bits for dinner plus had to go to doctors they took off my eye gel tears which ive had on repeat for 8 years, they had no idea why but put them back on repeat, new shed coming tomorrow so its going to be fun for a few days

3.4 this morning so I took 2U less bolus for my breakfast, especially as we started back on Hatton Locks today for another season of volunteer lock keeping. And what a beautiful day it was although only 2 boats to help up through the lock flight. Only had to scoff a cereal bar and a couple of dextrose tablets to fend off a low, otherwise managed my BG ok.

Turned out blue skies after all.

We watched a classic this afternoon, Get Carter, which takes me back to a much stable time. The only blot was the Cold War to make us worried, that and strike action before the Thatcher years.

simply went back to bed this morning after took Mrs G to work and slept half the day (I did have breakfast & meds)
this afternoon bought some new football shorts & socks, then been at DMO clinic this afternoon a lovely day for a nice walk to the hospital
had scans etc and today needed injections of Vabysmo (in both eyes)

it’s my right eye that’s the worst, but the left still has a swelling, the constant mentioned they are now about to start a new version of a higher dosage of Eylea (not the same as what I had previously)
so todays jabs mean I’ve now had 53 injections (mostly to my right eye) for now we decided I’m not going to at this stage have Ozurdex
so Vabysmo in both today, next appointment will be 6-8 weeks possibly (fingers crossed) depending what she sees then can go onto the Eylea (I’m thinkinfpg this will be what they call EyleaHD)

my 4th hypo was just before evening meal tonight, which was surprising as lunch was from Greggs

anyway, im going to sleep now
loads of posts to catch up on maybe tomorrow will scan through them

Morning a 7.5 for me when got up but spent most of night in 6s after a Cheese and Onion Pie last night which I love and juggling the insulin.
Up early and white rabbits dogs walked and patios clear and Day 2 of delivering Sweet Treats to my customers as have a webinar today covering 100 folk and over 20 locations. So rather than try and co ordinate lunch decided to give them Sweets/Chocs etc as it means I can do it over a few days.
The look on the Tesco check out lady when they see my shopping basket and ask “ Do you have a Sweet Tooth” and I reply Honestly none are for me is priceless.
Covering Pain and Inflammation today which is a bit more acceptable that talking Diabetes and taking loads of Sweets in lol.

06:08 BS 6.5 after a bit of a lie-in, maybe an hour? Woke from a nice dream that I just wanted to continue & couldn’t hold my bladder anymore so, I’m up now! Earlier in the night I woke briefly after one of those futuristic sci-fi zombie apocalypse type nightmares so, I indulged a bit in the nice dream after it! 🙄🙂

My wrist feels a bit stronger now but, maybe to stop me from feeling too complacent about it, I DID get a twinge of nerve pain when my wrist was completely still in bed last night: the day’s stretching & movement even in the brace! Eyes Widening emoji!

Was watching a rather interesting program on iPlayer this past week or so presented by Helen Skelton “Lost & Found In The Lakes” set in, your neck of the woods @eggyg , in The Lake District where people lose things in the waters & teams of free divers, no breathing equipment & they hold their breaths, & scuba divers do regular clean-ups & find loads of things that people lose or throw away! It was surprising how electronics like smart watches, phones video cameras & drones etc. can still work after being fished out of the water!

Good morning all. 5.2, a unicorn, 100% TRI over 90 days, I’ve grown a new pancreas and Mr Eggy has emptied the dishwasher, put a dark wash on and has organised something for the tea! APRIL FOOL! Of course that’s not true, Mr Eggy is a lovely chap but……oh, ok the rest wasn’t true either. 5.5 this morning.

Had a fabulous walk yesterday, partly on the Hadrians Wall Walk and partly on the King Charles 111 England Coast Path.TBF, it’s mostly river until you get to the Solway estuary. Weather was perfect too. Ended up in short sleeves. 9 miles altogether, 5 hours. Lots of birds for me and lots of lovely scenery for Mr Eggy, our cameras got a work out too. We also saw the Solway Bore, no not Mr Eggy, we didn’t know high tide was close but all the birds suddenly flew off their little island in the River Eden and I heard a roaring sound, I though a motor boat was coming up the river. That’s when I noticed the sea coming up stream very, very fast. What an amazing sight, I grabbed my phone and put it onto video, shouted on Mr Eggy, who was obliviously taking photos of trees! Within minutes the river was almost overflowing. Luckily, Mr E got some photos as I soon realised I hadn’t pressed record on my phone! I was so annoyed with myself! We couldn’t walk any further as it was obviously going to be flooded so we hotfooted it back the way we came before we got wet feet. What a wonderful thing to observe.

Have a fab day. We have childcare for one today. Week 5/5. Yeah, the cavalry are back on dry land on Thursday.

One of the detectorists they use is a friend’s daughter. I’ve only see that programme once or twice, trying to spot friend’s daughter, they found someone’s wedding ring in Ullswater! Absolutely amazing.
