Morning all. 6.3 on a very blustery day. It’s howled all night. Can’t see if it’s raining yet but the forecast for the next couple of days is heavy rain and gusty winds! Not going to be able to do our usual Twixmas hike. Normally we’d have done it before now but hospital visits etc have scuppered it, yesterday would have been ideal weather wise but it was Mr Eggys’s turn to visit but half an hour before he was to leave youngest daughter sent us a link to the hospital’s FB page. The ward ( and many others) his mother is on, weren’t accepting visitors because of Covid, flu, Noravirus and RSV! The only wards open were maternity and the children’s ward. It’s rife. Not good at all. Goodness knows when they’ll re open to visitors.
We might try and venture out and pop for a bit shopping to Aldi. We’ll have to do a post New Year hike this year, weather crisp, frosty and sunny from Thursday. Much more pleasant.
@goodybags good luck with your eye op today.
@ColinUK good luck with your application, you’d be amazing.
@Elenka_HM glad you’re back safely and have had a fab time with your family.
Have a Happy Monday. Are we back to normal yet?
