Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. Been awake on and off since 2:30 as I just can’t settle tonight so thought I’d call it and clock in with a whopping 7.8

Theatre yesterday (Titanique) was fantastic! One of the best things I’ve seen in a long time and I’ve not laughed quite so much in ages. Friend who accompanied me also loved it!
It’s also the first truly em deserved spontaneous standing ovation in a long time!

I’m sure you’re all familiar with the film Titanic. This is a retelling of that film but it’s Celine Dion telling the story as she remembers what it was like onboard the ill fated voyage. It’s hilarious. And I really want to see it again!

Cast were phenomenal. It’s packed with Olivier award nominees plus Layton Hewitt (strictly finalist who danced with Nikita) is in there too which I didn’t realise until I read the program.

Honestly I’ve not laughed so much at anything in a long long time.

Press night is in a week I think. I’m expecting 5* reviews.

Have a great and merry Christmas everybody!

10.3 after a restless night. I guess the mince pie last night wasn't worth it. Feeling awful!
Merry Christmas to everyone, may all your boluses be spot on 🙂

Merry Christmas everyone! 6.9.

My three adult daughters, 40, 37 and 32, still wake us up early on Christmas morning. 5.45am the first message pinged! I suppose I should be thankful they all don’t come round and start jumping on the bed like they used to!

Just our youngest and her family coming this morning to exchange gifts, did the other two on Sunday, then they’re off to her in laws for dinner. Mr Eggy picking her up at 2.30 to visit her grandma/ his mother in hospital, I’ll prep the veg for our dinner whilst he’s away. We won’t eat until 6ish. A nice quiet Christmas, for a change.

Hope you all have a wonderful day. And remember, it’s only a Sunday roast with little sausages! Although we aren’t having pigs in blankets today, someone, no names mentioned to protect them from harm, burnt the blooming things last night! He had one job! :(

Happy christmas everyone

I have a sneaky suspicion that my diet may suffer just a little today...

Happy Christmas everybody. A 5.7 for me today. Well done @Robin on that 5.2.
Kindly Santa slipped a bright shiny new Google Pixel phone into my stocking overnight. It'll take ages to get everything transferred over. 🙂

Yay! Father Christmas sent me a 5.2 House Special!
Just waiting for our kids to come in and jump on our bed, @eggyg , they’re both in their thirties, but old habits die hard.
Happy Christmas to everyone!
Congratulations and  for the kids still jumping on the bed! I always say we’ve done something right if they’re still excited for Christmas at that age. Secretly I love my early morning messages.

Good morning/moaning. Woke to a 3.3 and difficulty focusing after an awful night - phantom pain, other pain and 2 x hypo (why? not WHY). At the moment feel like skipping Christmas. Doubt I will see a living soul, till at least Friday.

Lunch might be a roast or it might be scrambled egg and NAS baked beans?! (querying emoji)

Morning all. 6.2 and a hypo earlier despite JBs, dozed back off to sleep after treating.

Just the two of us today for the first time in 35 years!

Merry Christmas to everyone who celrbrates and a restful, happy day to people who don't.

Congrats to @Robin on the HS.

Merry Christmas everyone. 7.2 for me.

Put the turkey in on a low heat overnight, woke to a wonderful aroma and perfectly cooked turkey.

Right there's veg to prep, gravy to make, pigs to blanket and stuffing to cook. Oh and I remembered to get the prawns out to defrost for our traditional retro starter.

Guesstimation is the name of the game today.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning and a 6.2 after a before to bed protein bar and getting nice TIR this last week.
Had normal fruit filled breakfast but did allow some toast being a special day. Quiet day until family come around for Xmas meal but only small gathering.
Hope everyone has a lovely festive break of whatever faith you belong to or whether you celebrate today or not as it is a real opportunity for reflection on all kinds of happenings and how we as individuals want to respond and what we wish for.
For me it is the usual let us try and learn the lessons from the past in order to live our best life in the present and deliver a much better future.
That applies both to us personally as well as collectively and particularly on the pursuit of peace on earth as we do seem to live in troubled times and not so different from 2024 years ago.

Good Morning and Happy Christmas to all my friends here.

Would love to waltz into the thread after a long absence with a 5.2 this morning but missed it by 3 whole units as Dawn visited instead of Santa! 🙄 So it is an 8.2 for me despite scraping along the red line through the night with a jelly baby here and there to keep me afloat.

Think we are going out for a carriage drive later whilst I leave a duck in the oven on low and hope it isn't kizzened by the time I get back. Seems a shame not to make the most of the fine, mild weather.
Hope everyone is as well as they can be and wishing you all an enjoyable festive season.

Morning everyone and a Merry Christmas to you all. A happy 4.8 for me on this nice sunny morning and I'm off for a shortish bike ride shortly.

Have a great day everyone, enjoy your Christmas dinner and stay well.

Good morning to all and a 7 for me.

Just been for a morning stroll - an hour or so round some tracks and lanes on the edge of the village - and although a bit gloomy it was very peaceful.

Sadly I have to report that the Goosnargh Duck is no more. If any of you go to a posh restaurant and get offered said duck then remonstrate with them vehemently. The farm where they were raised, the farmhouse, the sheds and all the paraphernalia needed to feed them with the corn grown in adjacent fields are no more. The whole thing is being replaced by the new, easy money, agricultural cash crop, houses. So no more Goosnargh Duck and despite what the restaurant say, you will be fed with some inferior duck.

Did see this fellow in a field next to the track....wonder who he is looking for.....
