Group 7-day waking average?

Morning a 7.3 and again within range overnight and off to North Wales but only a short day with some afternoon admin to do.
Lovely w/ end topped off by a lovely lunch out,an appearance on Homes under the Hammer by our estate agent handling our sale and then the Xmas Sleigh last night getting all our dogs barking.
I went outside to make a donation and was surprised to be called my name by an Elf who turned out to be a friend of my wife’s who had come back early from Anglesey to wake up the neighbourhood and dress up as an Elf.
Anyway hope you are all awake now and looking forward to week ahead.

Morning all, 4.6 here, and needed jelly babies at 4am. Did some sawing and pruning on some old lilacs in the garden yesterday, and didn't hypo at the time, which puzzled me, but because it was a short burst of strenuous activity my liver obviously stepped in, then needed to replenish overnight.
With hindsight I should have spotted this and reduced basal last night, but whoever manages to take all the 42 variables into consideration at once?

Morning folks. 7.9 here. Looks like Dawn’s having a little seaside holiday at mine, causing a 3am spike. Ho hum, we’ll see about that! Basal already tweaked - good luck at 3am tomorrow, cheeky DP.

Wow, had a FAB weekend in Yorkshire with my two BFFs. Haven’t laughed like that for a long time. They’re both bonkers. Bought a few nice things at a local arts n crafts fair. Everything was so clean - do they Hoover the streets every night in West Yorks while everyone’s sleeping? Even the wheelie bins on the street were lined up neatly!

Back to reality today...two weeks til we crack up for Xmas...can’t wait.

Good morning all. No hat trick I’m afraid, 5.7. Decent enough number to start the day.

Off on our annual pre Christmas holiday to the Lake District today, looking forward to it, Just need to avoid walking hypos, I am getting better and didn’t have any on our last holiday. Fingers crossed. We park up and never use the car, we just do all our walks from the cottage. As we live in the same county and can come here everyday if we want, we don’t feel the need to be exploring further afield. Lots of walks planned, some we’ve done before, The Coffin Route for example, one of our favourites, we’ll incorporate a visit to Ambleside in that one, and pop into Tesco Metro for a few bits and bobs ( bottle of Sancerre primarily) and Garside Butchers for a fillet of beef to have one night and freeze and take the rest home, it’s the best we’ve ever had and we always stock up when we’re in the area. It truly is a great little butcher which are very rare these days.

Still some packing to do and Mr Eggy will visit his mother to deliver her Wiltshire Farm Foods which will arrive about 8.30. And we’ll get off about 2.30 I think. They’ve got WiFi so I’ll see you all tomorrow, have a great day.

And finally…….got some unexpected visitors in the garden yesterday. They did eventually leave after the farmers chased them back through the, now, broken fence! They first broke into our neighbours garden and just popped over to ours for a chat. Our fence is fine, for the moment. The cows went into another field until the farmer can repair it. 😱

Hope your visitors make it home safely, @eggyg.

5.8 for me today. Hope I get my first post diagnosis hba1c back today. I got my liver, kidney and cholesterol ones back on Friday - all good. No more signs of a fatty liver - hurray! But I don't part with blood easily and it was an under filled tube that got sent but the nurse and I agreed it should be enough to get a result. Fingers crossed, eh.

I have two days training now for my not so new job! Easier days than usual - I hope everyone else has a good day.

Morning folks! A 7.4 for me with surprisingly wobbly overnight line. Not quite sure what Deep Thought was up to, but the epic battle with my stroppy metabolism (and possible compression low just after I nodded off) evened out eventually.

Cute garden visitors @eggyg ! Glad your fence survived!

Morning everyone. Got back from my weekend down south yesterday after a loooong drive home. Think hubby was going slightly mad having had 4 days with 3 dogs including the puppy that seems to be weeing more every day. I wonder whether it might be a reaction from her vaccination on Wednesday. Anyway - so far so good this morning with two of each outside (too much information?). I had a lovely time away and managed my blood sugars well (mostly). 7.4 this morning. Have a good day everyone xxx

Morning everyone, another grey day here in Bedford and it’s a bit cooler here than yesterday.

And it’s a 4.7 for me when I woke an hour ago after failing to get to sleep until after three today.

Have a good day and stay well.

So you weren't in Keighley then

3.4 according to Libre, staying around there then dipping to 2.9 after porridge! Fingerprick readings were mid 5s and a peak of 6.5 after porridge (much lower than I normally get so I’m definitely running low anyway, just not as low as the sensor has been telling me over these last couple of days). The sensor must be on its last legs, it’s on day 13 anyway. So, put on a new sensor this morning and reported to Abbott.

Some good news on our saga over the bathroom tradesperson who had done a fantastic job on our bathroom earlier in the year and so we had paid a deposit for the downstairs cloakroom refurb and kitchen floor to be tiled by him. Then heard nothing from him and no response to calls, messages and finally a letter (good job we had his home address). We ended up raising a small claim through the small claims court and on the last day to respond (today) he admitted the claim and agreed to pay us the deposit plus the £115 court costs within a week. He’s finally emailed and asked for bank details so hopefully will get that later today and be able to put this behind us!

Take care everyone!

Opened the curtains to a bright and sunny Berkshire morning and a 5.8 on the meter. Out early as I had a hygienist appointment at 9, followed by a check-up at 9:30. I always book them back-to-back, and always that way round. No issues, so pleased to hear that.

Will be heading off out again straight after lunch to pick up my new glasses from Specsavers. Good to have things to go and do on a Monday when there are 3 WFH. Keeps me out of the way, especially if I fit in a stop at Gail's for a coffee (our favourite cafe doesn't open on Mondays).

Have a good start to the week.

Morning all (just) - quite a nice day here in West Cornwall. Lots of sun and (mainly) white and fluffy clouds.

6.8 this morning, but with the Omnipod 5/Libre 2 it can jump from 6.8 to 8.9 in 5 minutes and then back again - and it did this morning at 8 am and 8.05 am!

Not doing much today, which I am quite pleased about as I had a mixed night last night. Periods when I slept deeply and others where I laid awake and was far too hot. At least we got the last of the decorations up and the tree done yesterday and we have leftover roast chicken and cauli cheese for dinner, so just a few veggies to prepare.

Was fascinated by @eggyg's tale of the cow visit. Must say, we've had squirrels, a hedgehog, a baby rabbit and once ratty and family visited, but never cows!. Soon despatched Mr ratty and his family. Anyway, have a lovely holiday!

@Eternal422 glad the bathroom tradesperson episode seems to be favourably resolved!

So have a good day everyone and a Happy December to you all!

Afternoon

Was late up so had to log straight in to work, now at lunch, was 5.3 for me today after a roast dinner yesterday, and a scone with jam and cream at the wreath workshop, so a much carby day than usual, although I will always continue to have a couple of roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding with a roast dinner, I don’t have one every week. I’ll post a pic of my wrath tomorrow

@eggyg - enjoy your pre-Christmas break.
