Group 7-day waking average?

4.8 for me this morning. I started watching carbs a few days ago so starting to get my head around it all. Feeling very hungry though hopefully my body will get used to the new diet.

Morning all. 6.3 here.

Monday means two hours this morning in a cold classroom, then two hours this evening in the same cold classroom. Why we can’t go into the nice sunny, warm classroom opposite, I have no idea. It’s usually empty. I’ll ask the boss.

Hearing aids @eggyg...I couldn’t do my job without them. And tbh, no-one notices them (I’ve got short hair). Go for it! Think of all the juicy gossip you’re missing out on!

Good day to you all on this very cold ( -1) and very, very foggy morning. But it’s not all bad news!
5.2! Woo hoo!

Had a very lazy day yesterday so I’d better buck my ideas up and get something done, like the ironing! Supposed it’s better than being outside today. The sun is forecast and Mr Eggy wants to get in the garden, we’ll see. Might have to put his big coat on!

Have a Happy Monday.

Morning all, 4.1 here. Off for a walk and lunch in a garden centre this morning, with son who has a day off work. Hoping to beat the weather, although it’s only scheduled to rain here, not anything worse.
Hope it’s a more interesting walk than yesterdays, which was round and round the yard for an hour with a colicking pony, until the vet arrived. Pony is fine now, just looking a bit sorry for himself, really, horses have such stupid digestive systems, I’m surprised they ever survived in the wild.

Remember taking 'A' Level mathematics when the central heating had failed. Quite awkward writing in a big coat (well a rally jacket)! The college asked the examiners to take it into consideration but it was felt they did not! :( No A* or AS Level muddles then.

Morning

An oh so near oh so far 5.1 today. Getting ready to start a back to work programme tomorrow, will start with just a couple of hours to see how I go.

@eggyg - congratulations on your HS, my m7ms hearing aids are so small you can’t see them even with her short hair, hers are still the over ear type as she didn’t want the ear bud style.

Joining my fellow :star: @eggyg this morning.

Morning all a 5.4 for me

Congrats on the HS @eggyg and @MeeTooTeeTo

A 6.4 for me. Busy day ahead. Well, week actually! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone

BG 5.4

Its crazy cold out there this morning. Put some squirrel food out but they must be frozen in their little beds cos no one turned up.

Yesterday I just rested and my painful hip certainly recovered a lot, thank goodness.

Today a bit of exercise (not too much), some Christmas carol practice, cake!

Wife drove me to desperation yesterday as she sang songs all day at the top of her voice. No peace for me. Probably scared the squirrels away too!!! 🙂

Have a great day today whatever you are doing.

@eggyg and @MeeTooTeeTo congrats on your HS.

I don't know what to do today. Get in the garden and pull some more tree down while the sun is out or tackle my kitchen cupboards which need a good clear out and tidy. Hhmmmm...decisions . Not long back from taking daughter to work (she broke a bone in her foot and can't drive atm) and £25 lighter as i nipped into Lidl on the way home. So, coffee first then decision time i think.

Morning everyone, a 5.2 for me today.

Have a good day everyone and stay well.

A nice (?) round 6.0 for me this bright but damp Berkshire morning. The carpets of dry, crunchy leaves have turned into a brown and slippery mush.

We managed to watch our eldest's futsal match yesterday as it was live-streamed on something called Joymo TV, for which we had to sign up. Last season FA Tier 1 Futsal was covered by TNT Sport, which we have as part of our Sky package. They didn't play well so no surprise that they lost.

Sort-of started my Xmas shopping yesterday. We went into Bracknell and my wife found something she wanted in Fenwick, but they didn't have the right fit in the store. She's found it online on the maker's website so once she's sent me the link I can order it.

Congrats on the HS @eggyg @MeeTooTeeTo & @Barrowman

@eggyg did you hear that the Eden district in Cumbria is the healthiest place to live in England, according to a survey?

Monday, my least favourite day of the week, tip-toeing around 3 people WFH and trying not to make any noise. Might book a swim so that I'm out of the way for a couple of hours.

Have a good start to the week.

A very close 5.1 for me this morning before my breakfast and then blood test which had to be done at the local hospital. I admit I hadn’t done any revision for it but still hoping for good results . The important tests for me are a c-peptide and antibodies (GAD, IA-2 & ZnT8) to hopefully determine whether I am definitely type 1 or not. Bizarrely I am hoping the consultant at least gives me an “assumed T1” so that I can continue with my insulin only and CGM which I’m confident adjusting and doing well as regards TIR and HbA1c. As it’s a hospital ordered test I won’t see the results and will have to wait for the consultant to give me an appointment and find out then.

Congratulations to @eggyg, @MeeTooTeeTo and @Barrowman our trio of HSers today!

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning 5.3

Car ended up being in the bodyshop most of the day yesterday, although frustrating looks like he did a good job and in the end the bill was considerably less than I expected
my cold is better this morning although Mrs @goodybags is definitely still suffering

@eggyg I know exactly what your saying when you commented regarding hearing, I was also not hearing when in noisy environments to pick up conversations, also I’m often struggling to pick out audio in dramas & movies that have music in the programme, anyway cut a long story short, I’m due to collect my first pair of hearing aids from the audiology dept at the hospital next Monday, I’m also not mentally ready to accept the actual need for them but I’m going to give them a try and see

Sunday duties include, cleaning hoovering bungalow & car, Ironing shirts for work next week, plus I desperately need to spend some time clearing up the clutter that had accumulated on dining room table (mostly work related) and might do some admin that will need doing before the end of the month.

also I need to get my big coat out and find my cloves (it’s cold down south)

TC 😎
My daughter first needed hearing aids when she was 25 and the audiologist told her it is not your ears that do the hearing it is your brain so in order for your brain to learn how to hear using the hearing aids you should wear them all the time from when you get up until you go to bed. That is exactly what she did. Then she was able to have surgery to reconstruct the bones in the ear and no longer needs hearing aids after 25 years of wearing them.
I hope you get on with yours.
I'm sure my other half needs them but he won't admit there is a problem.

Morning all on this dreary wet day. However we are a LOT warmer than you lot "up norf" @ 13 degrees. Yesterday it was lovely and sunny till mid afternoon when it spoiled itself and rained for the rest of the day.

6.3 this morning when I first woke.

Been sitting in bed drinking tea, reading the forum and my emails and consciously ignoring the fact that there's a mega-amount of washing up to do waiting downstairs after yesterday's lunch party. About a zillion glasses, roasting pans etc. All the stuff that won't go in the dishwasher. The lunch was a success tho' and the last people left at pushing 8pm. By the time we had cleared the table, wrapped all the leftovers and put them in the fridge it was 9pm and we were exhausted. So we sat down and watched Lucan then went to bed. It was a lot of work, but worth it methinks.

Going to take it easy for the rest of the day after that (despite the pile of ironing that awaits)!

Congratulations to @eggyg, @Barrowman and @MeeTooTeeTo on your HSs.

@eggyg don't be afraid of hearing aids. No one notices mine despite having short hair and they do make life generally easier, no more TV at mega-decibel level and much easier to follow conversations. There's one drawback tho'. They do not help when there is a lot of background noise e.g. when in a busy pub.

OK... well, be good and if you can't then be careful folks!
