5.7 for me on another grey morning with no blue sky or sunshine. Another wasted trip to Morrisons for strawberries first thing as they hadn't got round to restocking the soft fruit aisle yet again, so breakfast was a mix of raspberries & blueberries with a little chopped apple and honeydew melon. Added a couple of spoonfuls of my wife's homemade granola for a change. Filling, I have to say.
Got some good news and bad news from my sister yesterday. The good news is that hubby is over his pneumonia and is out of hospital and back home. The bad news is that she's been diagnosed with sciatica. Poor girl has mobility issues anyway so she didn't need that on top. They're going to do an MRI to make sure it's nothing else.
Friday is Big Shop day, so that'll be Waitrose, Sainsbury's and the garden centre greengrocer taking up a chunk of the day. In the meantime it's time to relax with a coffee and the newspaper.
Was a 6.0 for me this morning.Just managed a sit down Having a coffee in Costas.Just been in care home to see my old mother .,Don't think she has long left though she's a tough old girl .you never know .Go steady folks
I'm off to a friends for coffee and catch up (well, tea. I don't drink coffee but that's not alloterative). Yesterday, I made a blood sugar friendly cake to take. Half of it has survived hungry teenagers seeking late night snacks!!
Morning all - and a grey one it is here in Cornwall (well this end of Cornwall at any rate)
7.3 this morning after 3 Dextrose and a half biccie at 4am.
Had a good time at the quiz last night with friends. We didn't get anywhere near the winners score wise but they were a team of 7 against our team of 4. I was super annoyed that the quiz-master announced that the designer of the Chupa-Chups logo was Picasso when I knew it was Salvador Dali, having visited his museum in Barcelona. Showed him on my phone afterwards and he shrugged it off. Ah well.... if nothing worse happens in life we're happy!
Currently waiting for a large heavy sheet of glass to be delivered to replace the horribly scratched one that is the coffee table top. The flipping glass cost 4 times what we paid for the table in an IKEA sale... but we can't find a replacement coffee table that we like.
