Group 7-day waking average?

Dawn has disappeared off to bother someone else for a bit
Yes @Robin, me! I woke to a 12.6!!! All due to a very stubborn hypo around 9pm last night. All the treatments must have worked together overnight as from midnight on i was over 12. I don't remember the alarm going off and it took until after lunch today to get back into target. Just been for a walk with a friend and her dogs and its finally down to 5.6.

@Grannylorraine i agree with @PattiEvans, try Asda Opticians. They're very reasonable. I recently paid £170 for varifocals and a pair of varifocal sunglasses, inclusive of all the coatings etc and lenses made thinner.

I hope everyone has had a good day and @eggyg you're not too worn out entertaining a 3yr old and nine month old.

Yes, I use Apidra. It’s a bit faster than novorapid. I noticed it particularly when I went away without any insulin and could only get Novorapid which seemed so slow in comparison. Apparently Omnipod don‘t licence it, but everyone at my clinic is on Apidra.
That’s great news! I was using Apidra on MDI and it’s sooooo much better than Notsorapid. Fingers crossed I can swap to Apidra.

Thanks for your replies, everyone.

Good morning everyone

BG 5.1

Well, yesterday, after 12pm, and a real gentle gesture of love from me, my wife, who had hidden her self away in the bedroom, forlorn and lost er, crumbled, tears, sobbing, relief, hope. She had started working out how to 'escape', to run away into darkness and emptiness. Her papers everywhere on the bed gathering what she thought she needed. The love did the trick and she totally melted. The real, happier, relaxed, easy going, lovely person emerged. And the rest of the day was so good. Way better than an HS !

You know what I miss on this forum? @ColinUK s awarded houses for those who get an HS.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing
It’s so good to hear your wife’s MH is currently slightly better right now @Gwynn yes
I saw your comment regarding @ColinUK who’s currently not been awarding the Houses to those that Qualify with a HS, I think he’s just been to busy tracking down theatrical costumes, plus of course working out and occasional visit to the theatre to get his inspiration to update Colin’s Cultural Corner

An early good morning. 5.4. Happy with that.

Cut and blow this morning, these four weeks come round fast, the next one will be my Christmas cut and colour! Ahhh! Where’s the year gone?

Very foggy this morning, set to be another grey and damp day unfortunately. Mr Eggy lit the fire yesterday as the little ones were here for the day. I was roasting! It’s still throwing out some heat this morning!

Have a good day, whatever it throws at you.

Buttons and Rufus getting up close and personal with Eden. They’re cheeky little things.

Good morning everyone! 7'2 today, better than recently.

My weekly TIR has fallen to a shocking 43%. I can´t blame a faulty sensor because any time I double checked with a finger prick it was annoyingly accurate. So in the last few days I´ve reintroduced Levemir, upped the NR doses and tried to reduce carbs. I am back to work today, that tends to help.

I messaged my landlord about the faulty fridge and he said he will send someone today. Hopefully they can fix it, trying to eat healthy without a fridge is tricky! My insulin spares are still on holiday in my neighbour´s fridge.

Have a lovely day 🙂

Good morning - 4.0

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone

BG 5.4 not surprised its slightly higher...cake last night. Don't know why I ate it. It wasn't very nice!

Yesterday was a rest day and for some reason I needed it.

Today, lunch with the Pastor, excellent.

Maybe some keyboard practice later on.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Morning an 8.4 for me after another monster carb tea and fiddling about with insulin.
Know where I am going wrong and just need more discipline.
Back to work today and easier to manage things as leaves on road get a day of rest from me and my brush.
Have a good day all

slightly concerned following a shockingly low what I saw as 3.1 early morning hypo at 5am today, when my libra didn’t trigger any audible alert in their app on my phone, technically that was my fault, as had another faulty sensor yesterday, the second one this week it kept loosing Bluetooth connection, I think out of frustration and anger had disabled ALL of the LibraLink alerts on my phone, before eventually prying the limpet off my arm.

my watch did vibrate just enough to wake me, at first I didn’t realise the hypo, until I stood to walk to the bathroom and straight away felt wobbly (finger prick test confirmed was low although not quite as low as the CGM thought at 3.7)

anyway morning routine has skipped me past any chance of HS or a Unicorn and will declare 5.6 today

Abbot were trying to sugest it’s my phone (not their sensor that’s the issue)
and are sending me another sensor plus their own reader,
Im kind of just not convinced, as I have no other Bluetooth connected device issues with my phone.

Happy World Diabetes Awareness Day

Morning all. 6.0 for me.

My day in a nutshell: class, coffee, class, cake - perfect! That’s coffee with a friend I haven’t seen for a while - lots to catch up on. And the cake is an Extra Slice on the telly tonight. I heart Thursdays!

7.0 and off to the hospital for blood tests for my pre Bertie course checks

A nice round 5 for me today. 🙂

Good morning 6.5

Nasty grey mist obscuring view this morning. Spent last few days getting quotes for work on new place and making a spread sheet. Looks as if if the improvements and repairs are going to cost about £70k...EEK! Still haven't settled on best place to for new stairs. Rather anxious about having neighbours so close but hoping good solid tall fence will ensure sufficient privacy. Hopeful that conveyance will go through smoothly.

Hope everyone has been doing well while I have been too busy/preoccupied to test or write. Daughter says she is feeling better and has started couch to 5k!! She really is a trier - think I would be hiding under duvet. Scan next week to see if the enemy has shrunk. Roll on 2025 in the hope it will be better than 24.

First morning reading for a while, and it was 5.5, despite a whopping 50g+ of carbs for tea!
