Group 7-day waking average?

Morning all. I spoke too soon about yesterday's readings. I woke this morning to a 15.9 upward arrow, the finger prick was 12.9. This new sensor (applied yesterday morning, activated last night) was spot on when it first started up. We'll see how it goes. Either way, i feel rubbish this morning, tearful (possibly from the dream i had about work which was a horrible, probably about levels) and headachy (probably levels). No breakfast had yet, i can't face it. 4u correction in. This is similar to Saturdays start with the numbers, i hope its not the same sort of day.

Today i need to go to mums and remove the heart monitor i put on her last week then return it to the Post Office. We are/were going to the cinema tonight to see The Salt Path but hubby just realised he booked a subtitled version by mistake and did i want to change it. I feel like my head is going round so he can make that decision. I do need to feel less tearful before i go to mums though or i'll end up feeling stressed too which won't help.

@eggy i hope you get the answers you want this morning and you get everything sorted out. Let us know how you get on.

Morning all. A happy 5.1 for me on another fine sunny morning...

Have a good day folks and stay well.

Morning folks. 🙂 5.9 here.

It’s bin day but we don’t have wheelie bins, so if you put your rubbish out the night before (not me!)...you guessed it, rubbish ALL OVER the road. The seagulls / foxes / badgers have had a field day!! I’d already had my breakfast bolus, so I delegated and sent hubby out there to sweep it all to the kerb - people were driving thru it...really?

Good luck @eggyg.

OMG @ColinUK - Sara Baras? You’re in for a TREAT. She’s amazing, really innovative compared to the traditional flamenco sets I’ve seen. I’m jealous. 🙂

Sunshine, yay!

A 4.8 for me today. 🙂

Morning

4.0 exactly, going to make Bounty cookies with a caramel centre as it is Bakeclub today, this weeks theme is biscuits, cookies or caramel. I will be taking something with me to eat, as soon as I something tells me it will be a very sweet offering this week.

@freesia - sorry to hear you levels are high again this morning, hope they settle down.

@eggyg - hope your cold clears get some answers today.

If you have a Morrisons nearby they usually have them, I used to stock up when they are on a Buy two get one free (or similar offer)
Thank you for the tip. Unfortunately not in Penzance one. We are at the end of the world @goodybags and a lot of things aren't available in this neck of the woods!

Good morning, happy Monday

4.9 on waking. Since then I have bolused for breakfast and am now low, which is very unusual for me at this time of day. I've had a banana as only at 3.9 and I was still hungry.
I had not the greatest sleep as my Guardian 4 sensor refused to accept the calibration, so every 15 mins, then every two hours, my pump was alarming for me to calibrate again. Before I knew it it was half 6 and time to get ready for the first day back at school 🙄

It's lovely and sunny though and should be a good day. One of the students came to see me first thing to let me know she had been selected to play for the UK in a big tournament over the break. I'm so chuffed for her. These kids are so determined and clever! Gives me a lot of hope for the future.

I have an appointment with the DSN at 10.35 and I need to be up at least three hours before I have to leave. This is to enable me to have my breakfast, it could be an hour before my BGs are in the fives, I know I was 5.9 when I was laying in bed but they’re in the 6s now and most probably will stay there for quite a while. Then I have to make sure I go to the loo, to get rid of my breakfast, ( TMI, sorry) other Type 3cs will know exactly what I mean! This could be up to three times in an hour, and I still worry I haven’t quite finished and I’ll suddenly need to go whilst I’m out. I’m telling you this because I’m going to bamboozle the DSN with all this, I have a lot of questions which I know she won’t be able to answer so, I’m hoping, she will have no choice but to get me an appointment ( I’m going to demand a face to face) with at the very least a GP, they will probably be as bamboozled, and refer me to an endocrinologist. What’s the chances I wonder? Will my cunning plan work?
Some of the questions she should be able to answer are: can you book me an appointment for my five yearly pneumonia jab? I always have to chase them. Can I change to Fiasp as NovoNotSoRapid isn’t working for me and my lifestyle anymore? Can you change my prescription to Libre 2+? I have had absolutely nothing about this from my surgery. What happens when Levemir is discontinued, is there any others which are twice a day?And the most important one. Am I definitely down as Type 3c on your books to enable me to access the services I may need in the future ie a pump, as I got a letter inviting me, as a Type 2, to join a trial! Oh that really annoyed me. The poor lass won’t know what’s hit her. Don’t worry, I’m not an aggressive person, I won’t get angry, I’ll be perfectly calm but I want answers or access to someone who can give me them. Fingers crossed for me folks.
Elaine, is this an actual DSN at a hospital clinic, or just the nurse who sees the diabetics at the GP's surgery? If it's the latter then I doubt she will be able to answer the majority of your questions. She should certainly have the ability to refer you to the GP... who hopefully can then refer you to at least the hospital Diabetes clinic (Consultant). It all takes time of course, and I do remember the performance you went through a while ago being referred to the upper and lower gastric chaps to no avail. Good luck my lovely! Oh... and consider Apidra instead of Novorapid.

“Just” the DSN/nurse at GP surgery. I know fine well she won’t be able to answer my questions or prescribe me new insulin, so she will have no choice but to refer me to someone. I’ve only been to the diabetes clinic once, in February 2018 and that was a battle with the surgery “DSN”. I think she got sick of me going on about it. I’ve just dug out the paperwork to take with me. That’s when I was re diagnosed as Type 1. But I’m certain I’m still down as Type 2. I’m getting nervous now that I’m going to be disappointed.

It was yesterday!

Morning all and 6.4 for me.

Looks like a basal reduction will be in order to stop the alarm going off in the early hours.

Looks like we have a new rehearsal room from July. There'll be a lot of work involved setting it up. I'd just got our new (to us) in ear monitoring set up at our old place when the ceiling collapsed. I'm no sound engineer so I'll have to learn everything all over again.

Have a good day everyone.

A 4.3 which I'm pleased with. Have gardening to do. Was considering going to an aquafit class tonight but may leave it as have to be up early tomorrow for an eyetest. I booked an appointment for 9.15 to get it over but now wish it was later. Still sun is shining and things to do.

Morning all - it's currently lovely and sunny, but there are some ominous looking clouds here and there.

4.7 this morning with a flat line overnight. I was heading for another hypo at the same time yesterday (round about 6pm), but I managed to fend it off yesterday by putting "Ease off" on the HCL as well as taking a couple of Dextro.

Trailing back to the County Town again today to change 2 items of clothing which looked perfectly fine in their fitting room and swamped me when I tried them on at home! Also hubby now wants trousers as he's relegated some 20 pairs to the charity shop and they're offering 15% discount today.

@ColinUK we've seen some pretty good Flamenco in Seville, but we got dragged into one that was distinctly "for the tourists" in Granada. We ordered tapas and could hear the microwave constantly pinging.... and then this skinny woman in what appeared to be a black satin nightie danced... she shook her head so violently that her 6" red sparkly earring (imagine a christmas tree bauble) flew off and landed in our meatballs. Fortunately we had more or less consumed them all, but the copious gravy coated her earring well when we handed it back.

Have a lovely day all....

6.1 this morning, which was all blue sky and sunshine when I got up but is now mostly cloudy. No rain in our forecast but we're supposed to be getting a soaking tomorrow, and maybe on Wednesday too, so as we're a bit behind with the laundry I'd best get it done and pegged out today. No other plans except for grocery shopping and a return to drop off at the Post Office.

Enjoy the start to the week.

Good morning folks. A 9 for me today around 8.30am. It does rise with fotf I think if Ihave a late breakfast.. If I am up before 6.30 and check then I get lower numbers.
Planted a couple of fruit trees yesterday. They have been in pots for a while. Hubby dug up a huge amount of builders rubble about 10cm down from the surface of the lawn. Probably from when the extension was added about 20 years ago. Just finished and the heavens opened. Hopefully the rain has topped up the water butt's.
It's our 46th wedding anniversary today. We are going to see the new Mission Impossible film this afternoon then out for a meal.

Hope your appointment has a good outcome @eggyg and hope your BG settles down @freesia. Your bounty bar confection sounds delicious @Grannylorraine.

Have a good Monday everyone and take care.

Happy Anniversary, hope you enjoy the film.

Bounty cookies with caramel are so full of sugar, over 600g of sugar alone, then golden syrup, and 700g of milk chocolate, so don’t think I will be eating one even though the recipe makes 24.

Following the hypo in the night, I was 5.4 this morning. I was surprised last night after having a bowl of Angel Delight - it didn't spike me, as it usually does; but left me at 5.2 at midnight, so I took a JB or two to work on while I slept. I had a hypo at 3am, had JBs. Following this mornings' 5.4, I hypo'ed again an hour later at 3.8 which I suspect was a compression hypo as I also read my FP and that said 7.
If it happens tomorrow, I'll drop my basal by 1u on the evening dose.

A gorgeous day by the time I ate anything today, it looks warm and I suspect it is, I haven't ventured out yet. It turned out warm yesterday afternoon too; but there was quite a breeze. The breeze has lessened today so I'll probably be able to get out.

Congratulation @silver minion on you anniversary, 46 years, wow.
