Group 7-day waking average?

6.7 this morning, following yesterdays' hypos. I had another one at about 9pm too which was a complete surprise nae shock, treated it and went to bed after midnight. I've dropped my morning basal by 1u - hopefully avoiding the hypo this afternoon.

A little cooler today with quite a breeze and it's not raining for a change, but will probably will have one on the westerly - Flaming June - Hah!

My wife is getting some info from Cunard a she and a few friends would like a sailing - my wife's first time, while she's able to go. They should have a nice time once she has fettled with the Cunard website for a few months prior.

Congratulations to @Wendal @freesia on your HSs today.

12:55 BS 4.4 & 13.02 BS 4.8 after loo. A teeny tiny bit of red again on the the graph just before I woke up: bashed the alarm off at midday & dozed off again so, an hour late! Still very tired & will have some biscuits in bed & go back to sleep, if I can! All the late nights are catching up!

A Very G’Day Mates to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

I’m back up to my normal, for SO long now, NR doses of 48, 44 &, going by last night’s very late dinner, 40 as 44 was a bit too much. So, all of that much lower boluses recently was because basal was too high! I didn’t eat any cauliflower/broccoli rice the last few days so, it’ll be a bit of a guess what the NR would be for that but, I think about -8 is an educated guess I remember from somewhere?

1 last scan before going back to sleep 13:12 BS 5.2 Tah Dah! Biscuits are not necessary then! A stream of Smiling Yawns emoji! Does such an emoji exist? It doesn’t matter; I just made it up! o_O:rofl:

Afternoon all - the day seems quite changeable. Lots of dark clouds, interspersed with sunny periods, but a strong cold breeze.

6.1 this morning. Yesterday wasn't good though. I don't understand this HCL... I still spike after lunch, up to and over 10.1 then I often drop into a hypo about 6pm. Yesterday was no exception. We met friends in town and I had 1 large glass of wine during the afternoon. Got the bus home at 6pm and on the very short walk from the bus stop to the house I started feeling wobbly. Got into the house and looked at my phone to see 4.0, having had no alarm at 4.3 which I had thought it was set for. I then ate 2 Dextrose and half a ginger cookie and continued going down to 2.9 whereas prior to the HCL the dextrose/biscuit would have brought me back up. All in all the hypo lasted 87 minutes, needed lots more Dextrose, the other half cookie and 2 mugs of sweet tea and I felt quite ill during that period. In the end I skipped dinner and just had a slice of toast before bed.

Ah well, not a lot on today. Bit of sewing is all.

Congrats to @Wendal and @freesia on your HSs

Hope you're feeling a bit better @eggyg.

Have a good day all.

Afternoon all. It was a 4.5 for me earlier today....

pleased see that the DF remembered your birthday @freesia by delivering one for you, as she did for me on mine.
Thanks @Martin.A but its not my birthday today. I am pleased with the HS though after yesterdays levels looking like the Alps.

Good afternoon folks. A good (for me) 6.8 this morning. The sun is shining and a good breeze so more washing on the line. Went to B&Q for a new incinerator and metal cutting discs and also bought new gardening gloves for me and some pink wellies to go with my beesuit as well as a couple more large pepper plants and other gardening sundries.
Hubby is having a post lunchtime snooze while I catch up with forum messages and news.
Congratulations to @Colin g for yesterday's HS and to @Wendal and @freesia for HS today
Hoping those of you not feeling great today have a better day tomorrow. Photo of the infamous pink beekeepers suit with the new wellies. My friends at the club apiary will be impressed (when they stop laughing).20250601_150916.jpg

Don’t you find that Dextrose tablets in an open packet go rock hard? I prefer Lift equivalent which come in a tube or if required High5 energy gel sachets for a bigger hit …

I can't find a source of Lift tablets around where I Live @NickE - at the moment I am taking the Dextro tabs too fast for them to go hard!

Morning all. 5.9 at 6am.

I have an appointment with the DSN at 10.35 and I need to be up at least three hours before I have to leave. This is to enable me to have my breakfast, it could be an hour before my BGs are in the fives, I know I was 5.9 when I was laying in bed but they’re in the 6s now and most probably will stay there for quite a while. Then I have to make sure I go to the loo, to get rid of my breakfast, ( TMI, sorry) other Type 3cs will know exactly what I mean! This could be up to three times in an hour, and I still worry I haven’t quite finished and I’ll suddenly need to go whilst I’m out. I’m telling you this because I’m going to bamboozle the DSN with all this, I have a lot of questions which I know she won’t be able to answer so, I’m hoping, she will have no choice but to get me an appointment ( I’m going to demand a face to face) with at the very least a GP, they will probably be as bamboozled, and refer me to an endocrinologist. What’s the chances I wonder? Will my cunning plan work?
Some of the questions she should be able to answer are: can you book me an appointment for my five yearly pneumonia jab? I always have to chase them. Can I change to Fiasp as NovoNotSoRapid isn’t working for me and my lifestyle anymore? Can you change my prescription to Libre 2+? I have had absolutely nothing about this from my surgery. What happens when Levemir is discontinued, is there any others which are twice a day?And the most important one. Am I definitely down as Type 3c on your books to enable me to access the services I may need in the future ie a pump, as I got a letter inviting me, as a Type 2, to join a trial! Oh that really annoyed me. The poor lass won’t know what’s hit her. Don’t worry, I’m not an aggressive person, I won’t get angry, I’ll be perfectly calm but I want answers or access to someone who can give me them. Fingers crossed for me folks.

That’s my day sorted, I’ll probably need a lie down afterwards, I’m not a confrontational person and I usually just plod on doing what I do, but I can’t any longer, I’m getting on a bit now and have to think of my future. My pancreas and spleen aren’t going to grow back, the adhesions aren’t going to miraculously unwrap themselves from around my small intestine are they? When are you classed as elderly by the health service? Is it 65? If so I’m going to milk it.

Have a Happy Monday and I’ll be back with the craic, if there’s any.
PS. 50 minutes and my BGs haven’t budged after seven units of bolus for one slice of bread! Still got over three hours before I have to leave for my 10.35 appointment. Hopefully all will be well.

The DF doesn't like me today, I woke up around 4am for a wee and I was at 5.3, went back to sleep until 7 when I was 8.5 and rising! Currently 9.1 🙄
I'm taking the dog to a new trainer today to see if he can help me with her lead walking. I have tried for a year to get her to walk nicely and not practically pull my arm off, but she just doesn't seem to get it. I think she should have been born a sled dog.
Good luck with the nurse @eggyg

It’s 6.1 on the doors this Monday morn.

Nice day yesterday. Started off at the Opera House with a Friends Day that was kinda like their village fete for friends. Lots of events happening all over the building so opted for a singing session (yes I sang), a demo of stage fighting, then a lovely backstage tour. Time between all of those for a much needed cup of Earl Grey.
Then Sadler’s Wells to see Sara Baras and her company dancing in the Flamenco Festival. I’ve never seen flamenco before and apparently she’s one of the best flamenco dancers ever.
It was interesting. I’m seeing more at the festival today and I’ve the coming few days so I’m curious to see how I rank those productions I attend against each other.

C’est tout.

Morning all, 3.6 or 6.6 take your pick. I woke up lying on the sensor, and now it’s bounced back and has probably overshot. I had a rare sensor failure yesterday, it did the hours warm up, then told me it wasn’t working and to take it off and put a new one on. Good job I had a spare! So then spent ages hunting the online report form, it’s not easy to find on the website, but then it was easy. Three questions, was it an error message when did it happen, was it error code 365, and then fill in my name and address.
