Group 7-day waking average?

After another undisturbed 8 hour sleep I got a 6.0 this morning.

Morning back to normal feeling with a flat 5.0 so not a House Special but perhaps we could call it a Hawaiian Special ( for those of a certain age they may see the connection).
I am not only old enough to remember the TV series but the theme tune is now an earworm in my brain. Book Em Danno!

7.2 this morning. The graph shows I was lower at around 5am, dipping below 5. But not a bad start to the day.

A story: My 96 year old neighbour relies on us for tech support (she doesn’t do the internet or email) and regular soups made by my wife. She really is with it and determined to continue living on her own. Amazing. She presented me with a problem recently when she explained her old Philips dictaphone no longer worked. She used it to record memos to remind her of conversations and telephone calls. It turned out her machine was more than 15 years old and had just given up the ghost and completely broken. It was one of those with a mini tape cassette. No longer available unfortunately. So I looked at Amazon and saw a range of “digital voice recorders” and chose one for her to try out. Unfortunately they turned out to be tiny, difficult to operate (lots of tiny buttons and incomprehensible multi-step menu functions). That was no good, completely hopeless for an elderly non-tech savvy person.. Then I thought of searching “portable tape recorder”. Yes, they still make them, with a full size C90 tape deck, battery powered, with a simple row of push button controls. https://amzn.eu/d/0QginDp for those still interested. It arrives today when it will be introduced to Miss Hall. Fingers crossed .

5.0 for me not 100% in self but hay ho s*** happens

A lovely bright sunny morning here in Lincolnshire today.started with a 7.4 which seems to be my average at the moment.
Need to clean out the chickens coop this morning. We were discussing our longer term plan of building a new run in a different part of the garden and moving them. Hopefully later this year. Old chicken run will become our brassica bed.

Sorry to hear you are struggling with tummy issues @eggyg. You are so busy looking after everyone else. I agree with @Robin you need to make a fuss when you see HCPs and insist on more tests.

Back at the club apiary this afternoon sorting out the new Queens in various hives. Good practice for me as I haven't marked mine yet. I have a fancy one handed catcher to try out on some drones (male bees) as they are expendable if you accidentally damage them.

Enjoy the weekend and the start of summer.

Morning all. A 4.7 for me on another fine sunny day.

Have a good day folks, and stay well.

12:07 BS 6.0 A bit better but, still a teeny tiny bit of red on the overnight graph & I slept right through it! Learnt from the previous night & left my high BS to go to bed & trusted it to drift down which, it did! Still not being brave enough with NR & was high most of the day but, not as high as the day before! My long, slow drift overnight though, tells me reducing basal IS right because if I didn’t eat during the day I’d run into hypo territory at SOME point!

A Very G’Day Mates to you all & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Day 3 of 48 basal just in & should have a clearer picture by tomorrow?:thankyou:

Afternoon all. After a poor night's sleep with low alarm going off four times .All 4.1 so no problem.Blame it all on this ongoing stress I'm still having..Have to wait till Monday see if anything happens.Sitting outside now but looking at these black clouds imagine every one of these folks eating, will be dashing under cover .Any ways had one of these this morning.Enjoy your day people.

Stayed at the Coppid Beech last week which I believe is your part of the world.
Yes, it's local, and I pass it regularly on my way to the recycling centre. My wife's employer's offices are just around the corner from there, too.

Afternoon was 6.9 today

Just got back from the Walking Football/MH project I attend
most Saturday mornings
as ever was thoroughly enjoyable both physically, great to be active
plus good to talk about alsorts of things as we did.

Last night was the first decent nights sleep I've had in months,
I didn't drive down to my friends anniversary yesterday as was totally exhausted.

I haven't read through posts yet and currently on phone, will look later on computer or iPad to see what we are all upto..etc

This afternoon doing a needed repair job on my car, so a friend has just come round to help me with that.

Lovely weather here today
TC & have a Super Smashing Saturday everybody 😉

Hallo from a world of psychosis as the loud head voices are carrying on and on just lately, even visuals are active hence writing with a tablet and not a lappy - more distracting.

7.7 today and thought about dropping my basal another unit but changed my mind and left them at 16. A cloudy day here but quite warm with the breeze.
I went for a 10 minute walk after brekkas just to see if could break the voices by doing something practical, including using the stairs when I got back, multiple times - my poor legs are really feeling it atm.

Did a spot of gardening at the morning after the walk. Anything to stop them. Potted another Virginia Creeper in the far corner of the garden - it should cover the side fence in a couple of years bringing back my Green Dell that was destroyed by the then, gardener not recognising plants - he said it was a weed, he said my roses were too. Some gardener. I'm taking the opportunity back to do it myself.

My wife said that was behaving oddly, growling as my voice is now barely a whisper and we shouldn't attend 'A Splendid Day Out' festivities in town today as there'll will be a few folk out and about. A pity. Sodding head troubles, they are the bane of my life.

@eggyg i hope you manage to sort things out speaking to the DSN and getting your tummy troubles looked into.

Congrats on the HS @Colin g.

Well after the heady heights of this mornings reading i came crashing down and hypoed which was slow to go back up. Since it has its gone into the 12s and nothing is bringing it back down. Its just one of those days.

That’s what I call an “Elastic Band Rebound”: sometimes controlling BS is like pulling an elastic band; can only pull it so much before it “twangs” back on you! Just have to let the after effects of the rebound dissipate! 🙄 Frustrating: I know; it’s happened to me before! A Frustrated, Tearing Hair Out emoji! In sympathy!

Thought it was Martin and the only other time I stayed there was my interview for the job 9 years ago.
It was unusual in that me and the other candidate had to go out for an evening meal with the bosses ( one of which I knew very well as I used to be her boss) but I had to stay “ arms length” and pretend to not really know them in order to not unsettle the other candidate

Congratulations @Colin g on today's HS.

Just an update. For the 4th day in a row I've encountered a near-hypo, today it went the extra mile at 3.1 following a stint in the garden digging out rocks and moving foliage. 6JBs and 3 biscuit bars later they ended up at 11.1.
Coming back 9.2 after dinner and after basal.
