Group 7-day waking average?

Another 10.5 this morning. Yesterday evening I took some weetabix at 9pm as I was hovering around 6. Far too low I thought. My graph showed a gentle rise all night. I’m just not being very good at balancing BG and insulin. But I have noticed my insulin is not acting as quickly as it used to, and the same for carb intake. I feel OK now (9.49 am) at 8.1 with a gentle downslope on the graph.

My diabetes may be a bit bumpy, but my white climbing rose on the back wall is spectacular!

Have woken up to a lovely, sunny and warm Berkshire morning. It's already into the low 20s, and not before time - Summer starts on Sunday, meteorologically speaking, after all.

Sunset Strip birthday today. Those of a certain vintage will know what that means. Thank you for all the Happy Birthday messages. Nothing special planned for the day but my wife and I are out to dinner tonight, so looking forward to that.

Nice pressie from the DF, too:-

Hope everyone's getting some of this lovely weather. Enjoy your Friday.

Hi,
Some mornings I feel a slight headache. I check my BG and its low but only 5.5 to 6.5 so I thought it was dehydration as I do not drink a lot of water. However if I have more carbs the day before the slight headaches seem to reduce or disappear. My general BG is 96% in range between 5 and 10mmols/mol so maybe I should increase the carbs slightly. Its all very complicated!
I do not take any meds its all diet. I am overweight but my last reading was 37mmols which is great, I eat less than 100g of carbs a day. One slice of bread a day, no rice, no potatoes, pasta once a week but that has little effect for some reason.

It would be great to feel good, have good readings and lose weight but I cannot seem to manage all at the same time.

12:00 BS 6.8 🙂

A Very G’Day Mates & have a Wonderful Day! 😉

Yesterday was a day of two parts: first part of breakfast was fine before 48 basal went in; second part post reduced basal I was high as I couldn’t get the NR adjustments QUITE right! I KNEW NR would have to go up a bit with reduced basal but, just couldn’t get it & then, couldn’t let it go & ate snacks twice after dinner just to add NR & guessing the bolus long into the wee hours & then, when I fell asleep after the second snack & NR I woke up more or less 4/5 hours later at the tail end of active NR with a hypo of BS 3.9! Felt perfectly fine & getting up for the loo raise my BS back to the 5’s so, I stayed awake a bit more to see if it would drop again but, it stayed there so, went back to sleep & the graph looks pretty flat except, for the last hour teeny climb of a mmol before alarm woke me up! 2nd day of 48 basal just in & have a better idea of new NR doses now so, hopefully today is a better BS day for me? :thankyou:

The Open Golf is back in Portrush this year & even our town’s main roundabout has the official huge logo of The Open in the centre: not QUITE the excitement as the last time but, there’s still an extra buzz in the air as all the towns on The Causeway Coast benefit from the extra traffic of golfers visiting Portrush & needing to stay somewhere.

I’ll be glued to the tv again come July 17-20 which is the same weekend just after The Twelfth Bank Holiday so, it’s basically one long week of Bank Holidays, it’s 2 days here for The Twelfth, & the usual 4 weekend days of golf!:D😎😛

So, I need to get the balance of both basal & bolus right as, many of you may know, I can forget to eat & want my BS to stay stable when I forget to do so: I KNOW I will; I try to remember to eat but, I lose 0.5 kilo or so from not eating much over 4 days of a Major golf tournament! 😳🙄 I’ll be a Golf Zombie glued to the TV! o_O:rofl:

Afternoon and finally have a bit of time to myself after a busy week.
The readings are a bit all over the place as often happens when I am outside my normal routine but here goes as my morning ones have been pretty good.
Yesterday was a 5.2 and yes it went to 5.3 when I retested a minute later band this morning I got a 5.3 when first woke up so am claiming a HS. 🙂
My average is up though as a couple of high readings in evening due to meals and difficulty in timing insulin but back to normal now.
Really enjoyed my Sales Training as was different but meant a couple of very long days so up at 4am on Wednesday and got back at 8 pm last night after a lot of delays on M40.
Catch up Friday but picked dogs up and they so love going to their “ holiday place” and is great to see them happy.
My wife has bright an ice cream maker from literally 20 yards away and I am thinking I am going to be in heaven but probably Ned to watch the weight a bit as been creeping up.
My BMI is very much in the normal range so probably about right but as food is probably my one main indulgence the weight has crept up and I know I have to get more active so I know the answer.
I do feel much more energised than usual so hopefully marks a positive change for better

Try and drink a bit more as that may help. Check you sleeping position, if your pillow isn't particularly good it may be putting a strain on your neck. Neck problems can give you headaches particularly if you sit at the computer for extended times.
Have a look on the internet for neck exercises to do before you go to bed.

Good afternoon. 8.3 for me this morning. Spent most of yesterday in the garden apart from a quick trip out to collect prescriptions and do a little bit of shopping.
Feeling 100% today so went to Tai Chi class. Nice to see a few Newbies joining. Hubby went to the barbers. Haircut, beard trim, ears and eyebrows tidied. Who is this handsome chap waiting by the car <3

Congratulations to all of you on the HS step today. @Pam123 have you put a towel down to reserve your spot?
Happy birthday @Martin.A .Enjoy your meal later. Love the climbing Rose @NickE I love the way white roses glow at dusk.

The rain is holding off so I might get some weeding done. Have a good start to the weekend everyone.
