Group 7-day waking average?

A 6.0 for me this morning. 🙂

Dez

Sun's back and we have a blue-sky-and-sunshine Berkshire morning to kick off Sunday. Tested and got a 2.4 - obviously not right, so I ignored that one. Switched hands and got a 6.0 on the retest.

Our two boys returned from the Millwall v Swansea City game yesterday having watched Swans lose but they had a consolation prize - bitter rivals Cardiff City were relegated.

My wife and I can get on with finishing the decorating today as our youngest is working 8-till-5 and our eldest's futsal team have an away match up in Derby, kicking off at 5:25, so he'll be heading off just after lunch. Much easier to be painting without a houseful. I also noticed this morning that the grass needs cutting, so hopefully I'll have time to get that done too.

Hope everyone gets to enjoy a sunny Sunday.

Morning everyone. Bright and sunny here today and a happy 5.1 to go with it.

Have a good Sunday everyone and stay well.

8.6 this morning after a night of high BGs, I had to have to corrections; 3u at 2200 & 3u at 0100 - I hate having to do it as the BG can be an unpredictive fairy at the best of times.

Did a spell of gardening yesterday, cleared to large pots of undesirables and part of the path. Going to have to get rid of last winters' leaves which have accumulated in the corner under the hedge an on the patio making the whole area untidy - but not today as its' raining, looking like it's in for the day.

Have a good day wherever you find yourselves in.

Morning everyone hope you are all well. Had a sleep in only just got up. Did come for my breakfast/meds then thought sod this and went back to bed. I needed that extra sleep.

6.0 this morning

Saw Comedy About Spies at the Noel Coward Theatre yesterday. It’s silly, slick, standard slapstick stuff featuring mistaken identity, hapless spies, plans for a top secret weapon, James Bond auditions plus a mystery shopper all in a hotel together.
By the same bunch who did Play That Goes Wrong, which left me cold, this is funnier and more complete than I found that.

It’s fun, funny, fine for all ages, family entertainment at its finest. If you do go then be aware that the stage is elevated so anything from C closer in the stalls and you’re looking up. Also you do not want to sit acreage that has restricted views as you will lose action at the top of the set or at the sides and that would be a real shame so go for central stalls or middle front of the circle.
I'm really surprised by how much I enjoyed Play That Goes Wrong, as usually I hate farce (can't watch anything like the Pink Panther movies or Naked Gun) but Play that goes Wrong does make me laugh. I don't know if it's just that I find the original cast quite appealing. Also, all 5 of us went and seeing all 3 of my kids falling about laughing was lovely! I've only seen the original on stage but I'm always amazed at the calibre of actor they convince to perform alongside in the TV ones (Christmas Carol and Peter Pan) : Derek Jacobi, Diana Rigg, David Suchet!

6.8 today: happy with that. I did have a pud at Miller and Carter, plus a small slice of birthday cake that my mum had bought for us all to share later with a cuppa.

My meal - and anyone else who chose steak - was lovely. Cooked beautifully medium-rare, just the way I like it. Sadly, the two who ordered fish and chips got a bad deal. One had to return their fish as it was rubbery and inedible. Then my daughter found a large (about 3cm square) piece of plastic in her fillet :(

Customer service was excellent (as you'd hope) and the manager was straight over to apologise profusely, provided free desserts and a very substantial reduction on the bill. But still, it's hard not to feel a little queasy about your child nearly eating plastic.

Mr B is at work for 13 hours today so it's me and my 15 year old home (20 year old is also around but she's nocturnal and had deadlines for uni before she heads back there tomorrow, so I'm not expecting to see too much of her!!). 15 year old Goes back to school tomorrow so we're just having a nice, lazy day together.

Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday!

Morning everyone
6.2 for me, that will do fine.
Yesterday was my sons 40 th birthday, had a garden party , weather was fine.
All his friends from the football team where there who I coached them for many years, now all grown up with kids, it’s amazing how I still recognised a few of them.
Me and the wife lasted till 10pm which was very good for us, I was told it went on till 3am, some sore heads this morning!!!!!
Have a great Sunday!!!

Afternoon. Glorious sunshine today bit of a breeze blowing.5.8 for me this morning.Doing the House work Well swinging the hoover about to the sounds of the Clash album blasting out in the front room.Enjoy your day people

My weight is going up, i'm struggling to walk far as the problem with my foot is ongoing and i'm just thoroughly fed up sym.
Well, basal is dependant on body weight, so although you may have put it up a while back, if you have gained more weight you may need to increase it again. Vicious circle isn't it?

Today is a glorious day and I have my head down studying the CamAPS which requires me to be indoors cos I can't see the phone screen outdoors.

7.1 this morning. 17.3 now.... I ate a hot cross bun for breakfast/lunch and took the carb count off the packet! I don't think I bolussed far enough ahead Grrrr... about to do a correction.

@Lisa65 wonderful buffet. Reminds me of a restaurant in Corfu in the abandoned village of Old Perithia, where you sit under the vines and they keep on bringing food cooked by George's wife! Wish I were there now!

Sorry, bit distracted today.... hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday.

Good afternoon was a high wake up reading today of 8.8

this wasn’t totally unexpected, as I went shopping late in the evening (when I was hungry) only went to Tesco for fresh strawberries and almond milk for today’s breakfast, however snack foods jumped into my basket, one bag of which was eaten on the way home in the car the other plus 2 hot cross buns were consumed before I went to bed
Today I go onto my higher dose of Mounjaro, part of the reason for insulin reduction plus obviously my HbA1c is now down so in a very different situation these days regarding managing my BS.

I think I posted earlier in the week I spoke to my GP regarding reducing insulin down to 5 or 4 units from the 6 units I was taking twice daily

I actually took the decision to see how I am without any in the evening, after all Ive still (at the moment) got my Libra, to get an idea what’s happening, so the last few evenings I’ve actually skipped my evening NovaMix I wanted to see how my levels are following meals, exercise and I’ve also been experimenting with different foods (last night wasn’t a experiment on snack food it was just a pig out)
I was still taking NovaMix in the morning (but only 4 units) which tomorrow is due to go down also,

My football & MH activity went ever-so well yesterday although I obviously overdid some stretching
that left me with a slight muscle pain above my pelvis, that called for tiger balm and a hot shower.

Weather is absolutely great here today Mrs @goodybags has this morning turned out the summerhouse (is sounds posh but it’s more of a shed with windows but was a great place for me to squirrel away things I want to keep just incase) there want any sign of any rodents in there other than something had gone n there previously and eaten a hole in a old blanket.

I’ve a few carloads to go to the tip tomorrow

Have a a Splendidly Sunny Super Sunday all
TC

7.0 this morning. Lovely day out yesterday and wasn’t tempted by any cakes or extra marmalade. Goodness knows how the judges manage to taste 3000 different marmalades but they do and write a short report on each one! Have a good day everyone - what’s left of it.

They’re obviously not diabetic! Can you imagine their numbers! 😱

back down to 4.5 this morning looks like the slight increase of Basel has helped, we just nipped out to get some mint sauce for lamb this evening and spotted some trees outside Lidi, so we ended up buying an Apricot and a Cherry tree there only dwarf, max hight 5ft but already about 3ft, just planted them near the Pear tree we got the other week.

15:02 BS 7.8 & after loo, basal & pills 15:07 BS 9.4 & settled down to 15:19 BS 7.5 while sitting in bed posting!

A Very G’Day Mates to you all & hope you’re having a Wonderful Day! 😉

Will catch up on this thread later, 26 notifications, BUT, did read yours @ColinUK first & thanks for the clarification. :thankyou: Just a little bit too late as I’ve already swallowed the Black Seed Oil capsule for the day! I will not take any more & bring them with me to ask the doctor on Thursday. I did read the bottle’s warning not to take if you have liver or kidney problems! o_O

I was rewatching series 1, 2 & just started 3 again of RATW all day yesterday & found it hard to drop off last night so, up very late today as I just bashed the midday alarm & went straight back to sleep! 😳🙄:D

A VERY late breakfast now as I’m hungry & catch up slowly! Nom, nom, nom! 😛

@BobbleHat Taste is a peculiar thing. Especially with comedy. I can’t stand Play That Goes Wrong. I’ve tried to sit through it twice and failed. Yet I love good traditional farce. Give me a country house set with lots of doors, a vicar, a bride, a groom, her lover etc and I’m in hysterics sometimes. I think it’s the “errors” and “mishaps” that just don’t appeal to me as I know they’re all highly rehearsed.

And if I never see Derek Jacobi on stage again it’ll be too soon. He’s a dramatic black hole sucking any tension or drama out of a scene and leaving it a mere husk of what it might have been. I find him generally fine on camera but not on stage. These days I put Sir Ian in the same category.
