Group 7-day waking average?

5.1 this morning for me but I still needed a couple of JBs to get there. My own fault as I must have overegged a bedtime correction. Slept well though and TIR is back up to 90% so I am happier.

@eggyg (((HUGS))) to you and Brian. It is a tough situation. I hope for everyone's sake it ends sooner rather than later.

Morning all and what a beautiful morning it is!

8.1 this morning. We had the most delicious boeuf bourguignonne with silky mashed potatoes, green beans and carrots last night at our friend's house. Followed by a Tortugan rum cake that we took along (we had been given it by some other friends before Xmas), and Cornish clotted cream. I under-estimated the carbs, went high and stayed there all night! Then we played Carcassonne - a sedentary occupation - so really it serves me right!

Not a lot on the cards today, but I think a brisk walk is prescribed.

Hugs @eggyg and Mr eggy.... it is a very difficult time I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Congratulations @Bloden on your HS. I sincerely hope you have a better experience with the Omnipod 5 HCL than I did. I have abandoned it now. I will be interested in how you get on.

Have a good day all and take care!

Congratulations @Bloden on your HS.

4.1 and a low alarm woke me at 5am, quickly rising to 6, before dropping to 5. No JBs were needed.

Morecambe has it's shirt on today and no wind to speak of.

Hope you all have a good and enjoyable day.

Good afternoon everyone! A nice surprise this morning with a 5'3 and a flat line overnight. I also got up on time, in fact I set my alarm a bit earlier so I had time to have a yogurt bowl for breakfast without rushing. I didn't fancy fruit with it today, only nuts and seeds, so I didn't bolus and I got away with it (the walk after breakfast surely helps).

Sending virtual hugs to @eggyg and her husband in this difficult time.

@Robin oh, I am starting to get what you say about the food shop coming around earlier. I buy enough food for a week, then a week goes by and I get all shocked that the food is running out! 😱

5.4 this morning sensor 5.9 the Libre 2 plus seam to be more accurate, not sure if any of you have noticed the same
maybe it first time lucky fingers crossed
I’ve not tried the Libre 2+ yet, I have a couple but still working through my spares of Libre 2 from replacements sent by Abbott for previous failures. I have heard that the 2+ is meant to be more accurate, so it will be interesting to see.

The boxes of Libre 2 that I just picked up have a QR code which says LIbre 2 will be phased out by August 25 and to scan the QR code to be upgraded. I will be hanging on till the bitter end as usual, because I hate change and Libre 2 works really reliably for me. I was expecting it to be discontinued a lot sooner than August, so I am quite happy to leave things as they are.

It’ll be interesting to see how we all get on, I’ve got two Libre 2+ sitting in my drawer, but I’ve just put on one last Libre 2 which I had in reserve on a rolling basis ever since I self funded and had one in hand when I started getting them prescribed, just so I didn’t have to have a gap if I had a failure.

Definitely! I’m hoping the Libre 2+ is more reliable, on the Libre 2 I have had a 13% failure rate, which is pretty high really.

I picked up 2x Libre 2 last week. While waiting for my prescription i asked if they have the 2 Plus in stock. The Pharmacist said they had to order them in specially. I assume this would mean possibly a longer wait between putting in my prescription and being able to collect it.

Yes, they will.
(Not that i’ve tried yet, but I read up on it, and Abbot say they will!)
Thanks, that's good news for me. One less thing to think about.

I get along very well with Libre so far, so I hope the change is not for worse!

7.7 this morning. My bedtime reading was a little high - 12.6 - but decided not to take any correction and to only inject 9U of Levemir (in last few weeks when I've been a little high at bed I've upped it to 11U) to see what happened so pleased to see it come down like this.

Another standard day in the office. Got the big IT project of my desk so one less thing to think about.

My training plan calls for a very specific 34 minute base run tonight so will get that done as well. That sub 4hr marathon is I think in reach!

Morning.5.4.

MIL still hanging on, what a stressful 24 hours we’ve had. Mr Eggy got home 9.30am yesterday, breakfast, shower and bed. Up at 2pm, lunch and some admin re his mother. He’s busy cancelling DDs etc as the LPA stops on her death and things get a wee bit harder. Then he was off back to the care home at 4pm to take over from his brother. Back at 9.30pm, tea, news and bed. He’s just getting ready now to go back to take over. I’ve made him a packed lunch as it could be a long day. She can’t last much longer surely? She hasn’t eaten or drank anything substantial for weeks, and for the last 10 days whilst she has been in the care home, she hasn’t had any glucose or saline drips to “help”. He said it’s absolutely awful just watching someone die in front of you. Let’s hope today is the day. No one can get on with their lives. I haven’t got a clue what I’m going to do today, I’m lost and can’t concentrate for worrying about the effect it’s all having not just on Mr Eggy but our daughters. I made a full roast dinner yesterday, I needed something to do, and could barely eat any of it in the end. Mr Eggy enjoyed it though with a nice glass of red when he got back last night. Plenty of leftovers! I might bake or something and I’ve got some beef mince out and I think I’ll make chilli for the freezer.

Have a good day, and sorry for all the doom and gloom, hopefully normal Eggy service will be resumed soon. I suppose it could be worse, we might live in America!
