I was a landlady and my 2nd flatmate was lovely... we are still firm friends 50 years on. My first flatmate was OK but got a boyfriend who was rather boring, they bought a place together.

Yes, she is the landlady. She said she didn´t want boyfriends staying over, which I admitted would not be a problem at the moment since I don´t currently have one, she answered "and when you do get one you will want to move together!". Eeehm... I´m not that sure but the fact stands, it is not an issue *now*.
 
Hmmm I can see her point in some ways, but in this day and age it is a bit restrictive. I never minded so long as the bf didn't think he could move in.

I had an argument with a flat mate when I was a mature student as it transpired her boyfriend who was at a different university had arranged a reduced rate with his landlady as he was staying 3 nights with her. I suggested they chip in some extra money toward the bills, so much for each night he stayed and I would do the same if my children stayed. But they then started to be devious and say he had only stayed 1 night by coming in really late and leaving really early so it wouldn't look like he was there. So I ended up putting the money in the kitty and they didn't. And the other bone of contention was the phone bill, pre mobile phones.
I hope you find some where you really love and isn't too expensive.
 
My body clock is out of whack, yet again! 🙄 But, it’s slowly moving back & until it does my tresiba alarm at lunchtime is my first brief awakening to stick it in & back to sleep until the evening. So, today’s waking BS are 14:35, ALMOST went back to sleep after I bashed the 14:00 alarm off in annoyance :rofl:, BS 5.5 & 20:30 BS 6.6. I did the same yesterday where I was only briefly awake at lunchtime to stick in tresiba & got up about 90 minutes later 21:55 in the evening so, body clock IS moving slowly! 🙄Was last day of 70 tresiba & will go down to 68 tomorrow. I’ve decided not to move tresiba anymore & keeping the alarm at 14:00, albeit I may stick it in a bit later with sleepiness, as moving two sets of timings at once is just asking for complications? 🙄:rofl:😉 I’ll leave the moving tresiba back to midday until after I get my body clock back in whack! :rofl: I feel like a time traveller! 🙄:starstruck::rofl:

Good morning/moaning! Woke at about 5:20 perspiring profusely with blurred vision - BG 3.2 but after 2 x JBs and 15 minutes 3.1 so treated again. Now overshot to 7.0.

Early doors Podiatry today. Good quite uncomfortable and damp (photo in the thread) so quite worried!

Cold but no frost, cloudy.
 
7 this morning. Was chasing a very high reading for the early part of the night. Very much underestimated the Nepalese food. Think the Kheer in particular did it for me - it's a sweetish rice pudding and this one had boiled quince on it.

Took 12U of NR before the meal and a total of 7 1/2U of correction. Again though - another time the Libre has come in use as a quick glance of my watch told me I was at 15 at 2300 and I wouldn't have finger pricked necessarily so would have run very high through the night.

Just waiting for the NR to start kicking in before my muesli and Greek yoghurt. Important meeting about an IT project today.

My son has made it safely to Italy also and is hitting the slopes today. Hopefully he'll have fun...
 
Morning an 8.1 after a bit of DP after spending most of night at 7.BG stayed quite high last night despite a lower carb tea.Did not take my Creon for lunch and wonder if that delayed the carb breakdown until later.Anyway take some correction doses but again think one jab did not properly inject so did not respond as usual.Always wary about stacking anything more than 3u max at night so had a protein bar just before bed and worked out fine.
Lovely lunch out and very nice day yesterday and taking car into garage today.Finished tax stuff for us both and did not take long as being doing it for many years and not complicated.
Really think I need to get in reset mode so going to make a bigger effort to lower average BG so see how it goes.
 
Morning all. 6.5 for me on waking, after a nicely flat day yesterday and overnight. Because the weather has been so non-conducive to long walks, I dialled back my dinner carbs a little over the past few days. This worked better than I had hoped - the postprandial spike has been not nearly so pronounced and the evening readings much flatter than they had been previously. Doubtless the diabetes fairy will throw a (new) spanner in the works before too long, so I'll just enjoy my good fortune for now.

Morning all. A very pleasing 5.5, and my first unicorn of the year.

It’s 8 degrees today, and forecast is light rain. Glad we got out yesterday for our walk, the ground was still hard on the whole, a few bits were starting to thaw and were quite muddy. Nothing too much going on today. A bit of ironing maybe whilst catching up on some telly. I’m also going to dig up the last of the leeks from the garden and make leek and tattie soup for lunch. Mr Eggy will visit his mother at some point in the day and he’s got a parish council meeting tonight but he’s thinking of giving his apologies and not going, just in case. Leftover pie for tea, which was lovely by the way. There’s still three quarters left, so we’ll possibly be having it tomorrow too!

Morning all. A record high 12.1 for me! Thought I’d sorted my wayward BG! Was 11.5 before bed due to a rogue piece of Toblerone that accosted me during Pottery throwdown. So I did a 1 unit correction, took my normal basal without the usual reduction for the glass of red wine earlier, and thought, that’ll sort it. But the pesky Diabetes Fairy moved in, and decided to reward me overnight with the flattest line I’ve ever seen. For which I’d normally have been grateful, but not when it’s a high wire act!
 
I can go one better @eggyg with 9°C. Positively tropical compared to recent days. 😎

Morning folks. 5.7 here.

This week I’m hoping my DSN sends me the links to the Omnipod 5 training modules. I’ve been waiting 10 days now and can see what’s going to happen - a mad rush at the last minute! Not ideal.

Lots to do today, must dash!
