Morning all. 6.4 for me and -5.2 for the weather! I’m led to believe this is our last day of subzero temperatures for the moment. Thank goodness. As lovely as it looks it’s getting a bit wearing.
Nice to have a lie in today after the stress of the last few days. MIL in care home, she barely woke from the moment they got her on the trolley in the hospital to the moment they transferred her to the bed in the care home. All three brothers were there to “welcome” her to her new home but really they could have stayed home. Mr Eggy spoke to the doctor yesterday morning and asked the question, will she ever leave? Highly unlikely was the answer. They won’t force her to eat or drink, she won’t be put on a glucose drip like she was in the hospital, she is just in there waiting to die. She does have a DNR in place which she agreed to years ago. It’s very sad it’s come to this. Now it’s just a waiting game which is very unsettling. We’re going to get out for a walk today, it’s over a week since I fell on the ice, buttock feels loads better, we’ve been stir crazy this week, and stressed, so hopefully we can take our minds off what’s happening, and avoid any falls!
Have a great day.
