Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning 🙂
Woke up at 9.9 for some reason, the diabetes fairy obviously wasn't happy with me overnight. I think we are about the only part of the UK that hasn't had snow, just a bit of wet sleet yesterday afternoon.
I wonder what will happen at work today, now that we have no manager and the owner is banned from the premises by the police.
I am guessing CQC and/or social services will put some kind of intervention in place, but the residents still need to be fed in the meantime, so I'll carry on as normal until I'm told otherwise.

Good morning everyone

BG 5.4
BP high. Not surprising as my wife is not well.come to think of it (which stresses me out), I am not well with my hip/leg still giving me problems (but improving day by day). I will mention the high blood pressure when I see a nurse next week (if it doesn't settle down)

Today continuing with collecting dog images for part of my Thought Guardian App. I have quite a few and just a few more to go. What else can I do as I am effectively incapacitated.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Good morning - 8.9

Have a great day everyone.

but I did get a -5.2 on my weather thingymabaob.
WOW! what is that gadget @eggyg I want one. :starstruck:
It was a +5.3 for me inside and -3ºC outside this morning. 🙂
A belated happy birthday @Pam123
Stay warm and well everyone.

Dez

Morning lovelies! 🙂

7 for me!
It’s -5°c here this morning so no major plans for the day, definitely staying in bed a bit longer though heheh!

Update: today is 'put the bins out' day.

At 6:30 am I decide to sort them. Of course it starts to snow at that very moment. Not deterred I keep going only to find that I cannot open the garden gate. It was frozen solid!!! It took 2 full kettles of boiling water to free it up.

By the time I had got the bins out it was just before 7am (the council demanded time) and I was more than a little cold.

I am glad that I managed it as the bins are very full.

It had not crossed my mind that the locks would be frozen solid!

Have a great day, keep warm and safe.

Morning all. 7.0 for me on waking, on another VERY chilly morning. Not nearly so flat yesterday as previous days, though still 93% TIR, so it's largely irrelevant. Pretty flat night - I got woken by a compression-low alarm a little after 4am. Thankfully I had the presence of mind to do a finger-prick test (6.2 ContourNext meter), so I entered a calibration in the G7 app and went back to sleep.

Morning everyone

6.0

Met up with family [my folks, one cousin here from Israel, one from Kazakhstan, mums niece (who’s older than her) and her brother (the niece’s brother) and his wife] most of whom I’ve not seen in person for a long time. That was fun catching up over stupidly priced food in an average restaurant that happens to be kosher. I had shakshuka and a coffee and it was £32.

Olivier panel zoom call this afternoon. That’s all for me other than to say it’s good to see you back @Gwynn

Morning all, I think I’ll go back to sleep and pretend today isn’t happening.
9.6 BG, been rising steadily all night.
Have a stinking cold, which was brewing up yesterday and I’ve woken up feeling limp and achey.
It’s my birthday.

Oh no Robin. Happy (ish) Birthday. Hope you have the best day you can. It’s too cold to do anything anyways. Snuggle up with a good book and copious cups of tea. Sending hugs.

Good morning 5.8 today

nothing much planned today for me, Mrs @goodybags reminded me yesterday I’m supposed to be at home & relaxing, so mostly today I shall be.
Good to see @Gwynn back on here this morning, Happy Birthday @Robin, but sorry to see you are unwell on your Birthday

TC

Morning All - 8.6 this morning. Low alarm went off twice in the night but I felt that I'd been lying on my left side and sure enough it started to go up when I moved position. Still really snowy here, like thick proper stuff even though we haven't had any new since Monday lunchtime. I popped my "snowed-in" bubble last night as we ventured off down to the village for a curry in the pub - they do Community Wednesday meals for only £9 per main course. It was really fun as everyone there was from our lane/fell and we all sat at one long table. The other fun thing was that at the end we all went away with parcels because the DPD driver couldn't get up the hill so had left them all at the pub for us (the landlady checked with us all that that was OK). We feel so lucky to have moved into such a lovely community - remote we may be, but lonely we are not. Earlier in the day another couple who live even higher up but were out and about in their 4x4 picked up another parcel that had been left at the village shop and drove all the way over to me to deliver it. Today I've got an on-line Pilates class (wish I could just stay in my dressing gown) and then hubby and I are going to venture off on a walk up Loadpot Hill to see the amazing views. He's been skiing the last 4 days - yesterday as part of his Mountain Rescue training they were skiing up on Helvellyn. Have a good day everyone xxx Oh and @eggyg I can confirm that Grasmere Gingerbread freezes perfectly! I defrosted the first batch yesterday and they were exactly the same consistency as when you buy it fresh :thankyou:

Morning all. A nice, steady 5.6 for me. Its -1 feeling like -5 outside and today is the first day this week i don't have to go out anywhere, well at the moment anyway. The cold sore is steadily spreading in huge lumps down my chin again so hopefully the meds kick in soon.

Congrats on the HS @MikeyBikey despite the bad dream.

Happy Birthday @Robin. I hope you feel better soon.

Happy belated birthday @Pam123 and happy (non-belated) birthday to @Robin - hope your cold goes away and you can enjoy your day!

@Gwynn - good to see you back, take care of yourself!

@eggyg at -5.2 you’ll surely need your Big Coat when you go out!

It was a low 4 for me this morning and no evening Levemir (a reduction of 3 units) but still needed 2 separate jelly babies overnight following a fairly long walk in the snow yesterday which definitely makes it harder work. Oddly I started the walk on 8.3, held fairly steady for the first half but then ended up at 10.8 3 hours later at 4pm with no food in my system since breakfast, so basal must be a bit low if anything, but then the tail end of my morning dose dropped me overnight. Not that I mind being a bit low overnight and I definitely sleep better low than high.

Happy Birthday to @Robin but really sorry to hear you have come down with the lurgy and are feeling rough. Hope you pick up as the day goes on and are well enough to enjoy some of your special day.
Also belated birthday wishes to @Pam123

@Gwynn Good to see you back. Hope you haven't struggled to put your bin out in vain. Our bin day is Tues and I had to drag it a 200yards along the lane on Monday night which was challenging in the snow but it hasn't been emptied yet. Think the bin lorry drivers are out snow ploughing and gritting instead. I have left it out in the hope that they will come eventually.

Morning a 4.4 for me but a bit of a cheat as I did do a 1u correction in the wee hours as my level had been about 8 and I wanted to reduce it before DP.
Stayed low and had to have toast to keep me happy but had a good sleep.
Went out for a Chinese meal last night with friends and it was a lovely chat but atmosphere was funny as we were only ones in restaurant and it was like a cafeteria but food was decent but not worth going again.
Anyway the roads were a bit icy but I drove slowly and it was nice to pick our friends up so they could drink.
The meal was a belated Birthday treat from my wife who insisted on paying the lot but as our besties insisted on at least paying for the drinks it worked out OK but no matter as we all just happy to be in each others company.
We have freezing fog so not sure about venturing into motorway but will decide later.
Anyway have a good day and stay warm and safe
