Group 7-day waking average?

Morning All - 6.5. I'm not sure where I've been for the last week but clearly not on here! I finished my Diabetes Injectable Toolkit course on Tuesday. It was really good - 3 days spread over 3 weeks and the last two putting our Libre View up on the screen and the whole group discussing. I was slightly the odd one out as everyone else was Type 2 and I was the only Type 3C but the DSNs who run it are brilliant (they work for the Diabetes team at the hospital and really know their stuff). So during the course I started to bolus before breakfast and moved onto Fiasp to save me having to put my supper in to keep warm as I was always taken by surprise that I was about to eat and had forgotten to bolus! Oh and they also realised from what I was saying that I was always using safety needles so they got me the normal prescribed as better for injection sites as less pressure applied to inject. I was saying to my hubby that the group of 9 of us were all so different but got on like a house on fire and now have a bond (and a WhatsApp group!). My eldest son arrives home for Christmas later today and takes over the reigns of his little westie puppy who's been staying with us for the last 2 weeks. All the dogs are getting on like a house on fire and he's going to be lonely I think when he goes back home and it's only him - probably won't be long before we hear the patter of tiny paws ... Lots to do today and tomorrow as we have about 40 people coming for Christmas Drinks & Pickleball so I'll sign off. Sending lots of love to everyone, particularly those with health worries and poorly loved ones xxx @eggyg that photo is SO cute!

Good morning 6 today
woke up by a compression low so maybe I hadn’t located that sensor at the ideal place on my arm for sleeping

I reported the dropped of sensor to Abbott (via their online reporting) yesterday a few hours later received notification they are sending me a replacement

Morning all. A very surprising 9.7!!! I'd stayed under 10 all night but despite a correction before bed, it didn't come down.

Today i have a friend coming for "cuppa and crochet" this morning and i need to get some washing on. Today or tomorrow i need to pick up my prescription as well.

@Lisa65 congrats on the HS. I didn't know whether to give you the star for the HS, the care for waking early or the heart for getting the dog out in time!

@eggyg thinking of you all with your MIL. Cute picture of your grandson.

@Robin that sounds like a very positive chat with the DSN. I hope mine will be just as positive in the new year.

Have a good day everyone.

5.1 today somehow after a day of highs yesterday.

Feeling a mix of emotions this morning in the wake of my recent C-Peptide and consultant’s suggestion to move me off insulin. The more I’m thinking about it the more it doesn’t make sense to me. At the moment I am at the stage of giving up with managing my diabetes, feeling that the consultant’s opinion isn’t matching what I’m experiencing, so why bother?

Glad I have a face to face appointment with my DSN on Monday to hopefully get my head in a better place before Christmas.

Congratulations @Lisa65 on your HS!

@eggyg - my thoughts are with you both.

Take care everyone!

Good morning everyone

BG 5.4

I discovered that no one had done the music sheets for the worship team and have been rushing around to sort it out all yesterday. Just about finished it all. I have to do three sets, lyrics only, guitar, keyboard. 9 carols, thats 27 files to write, print, send. And its not my job!!!! Still, it's nearly completed now.

Have a great day today whatever you are doing

Good morning everyone! 7'2, slowly improving.

I received a Christmas bag from my work place. This image contains lots of carbs, open at your own risk 😉

Although I liked most of the contents this year, there are things I didn't want to have or I would prefer to share. So I took the Cadbury selection box to my book club meeting and let everyone pick, keeping just my fav bar for myself. Gave away the bottle of wine and the chutney, cause I wouldn't finish them on my own. The Terry orange and the cheeses I'm bringing home to have with my family. I'm only keeping the biscuits and cookies for after my holiday, and eating the little tarts now. I'm quite happy with this distribution 🙂

Yesterday was the last session of book club for the year and we all had a lovely time. A lot of chat, a few rounds of Uno and the exchange of Secret Santa presents. As I said I brought the chocolates to share, someone else got candy canes for everyone (I politely declined those). I ordered scrambled eggs and bacon without the toast but had a black forest hot chocolate (tis the season...) . Not good for BG, I know, but it was amazing, especially the cream. And I hit it with a bit of an impulsive shot of NR that ended up working really well. I'm wondering what other less sugary drink I could order with the cream on top. Honestly, the cream was the part that impressed me most. And other people who ordered hot chocs said the same!

What is the white thing with a blue button by the Terry's Chocolate Orange?

Morning everyone. A very weak sun and very calm outside today just for a change.

I don’t know why it is but I seem to be getting a lot in the 4’s lately, today it’s a 4.6 and I always have a snack before bed to give me a boost overnight - strange!

Have a good day folks and stay safe.

Morning all. 6.7

Big budget panto yesterday at London Palladium. Robin Hood starring Julian Clary, Nigel Havers, Jane McDonald, Charlie Stemp and more.

Huge budget and you could see every penny of it on stage with massive sets and more massive costumes. Completely sold out.

Funny. Slick. Quite adult. A little too slick for my tastes but I’d book for next year but better seats as I was third row from the back of the Gods. Great view but zero legroom.

As for today, I’ve got two cakes in the oven (not low carb versions) and when they’re out I’ll pop to the doctors to fill the forms regarding my medical exemption certificate and then I’m taking myself to the Tower of London. Not been in about 40 years and it’s a nice walk along the river.

morning after such a good HS yesterday i know that today will be ... it was a 7.6!!!! 😡
I'm wondering why?
Could be because i was so happy with yesterdays HS !!!!!
Bot the main thig is that all you folks should have a good day :D
And congrats @Lisa65 on your HS today

Cake update:

Used one of the new baking belt things plus cake release spray rather than parchment and they’re done. Almost absolutely flat, no doming, no cracking, and they released from the tins exactly as the spray said they would. Turn the tins upside down and let gravity do its thing.

Colour me impressed.

Thank you, being new here I'm guessing HS is high score?

Just went outside to examine the dog's nocturnal product and discovered a big tangle of hair! She had a hairy deer leg to eat at the weekend and it looks like the hairs had stayed in her stomach for some reason and she finally sicked them up four days later 😱
Hopefully she is ok now

Hi Lisa,

HS is “House Special”. It is used to signify or refer to a reading of 5.2 which is regarded here as being pretty damn perfect for a T2 morning reading. It’s just a bit of fun!

5.2
Good (very early!) morning! Woke up for the loo at 2am, then heard the dog moving around which is unusual during the night. I went downstairs to see if she was OK and got there in time to hear ominous retching noises, managed to shove her outside just in time before she puked up last night's dinner.

Anyway she's settled back down but I'm wide awake, so I'm going to have a cup of tea before I try to go back to bed. It's currently 2.53am and blowing a gale outside.
Yes, if you heard that ominous sound from the cats and tried to shoo them out, there was generally a trial to clear up rather than just 1 dollop unless you were quick enough.
I hope your dog is OK today.

Sorry, just worked out its a bottle  :rofl:o_O
My Artificial Intelligence identified it as

"The bottle in the image is a bottle of Lindeman's wine. It has a blue foil covering the top and a white label with the text "LINDEMAN'S" and "EST. 1843" on it. The label also features a blue circular emblem at the bottom. The bottle appears to be filled with a light-colored liquid, likely white wine."

Let's see if it's right!! :D

Yesterday I delivered the finished stained glass panel I had made for someone and thankfully she was delighted with it much to my relief. Whenever you make something there is always that nervous moment that they will not like it.
Thought I would share here.

I was lucky to get her out in time, normally she aims for the rug. She seems fine now thanks 🙂
