Group 7-day waking average?

Good morning - 5.0

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

BG 5.4

Yesterday was good but I didn't climb Everest, in fact I didn't do much at all, practiced christmas carols a little. I did go out early on too get some much needed stuff, but by the time I got home I was in pain again which took most of the rest of the day to settle.

Did a Sainsburys shop on line for stuff I can't get locally (to be delivered today) but they just emailed to say that one of the main items (for doing the online shop) is not now available apparently (but it said it was in stock on the web site), so I will have to go out today and face more pain. Ahhh todays Everest!

I need to be brave! I just need to get on with it, get to town (and back) and cope! To be a super hero...hmmm

Talking of dreams, I've got this awful feeling that maybe, just maybe, I will never become an astronaut. Sigh

Have a great day today whatever you are doing.

Morning

4.5 and finally managed a decent sleep, but woke up at 6.30, but at least I can get up and do things as it is morning. Plans for today, crotchet, walk into the small town to see if I can get mum a 4 pack of Snowballs, the alcoholic ones, neither Tesco or Sainsbury’s stock it, so going to try Morrisons and Iceland, the town centre is very small due to the large shopping centre a couple of miles away, I am about 1/2 hr walk from both. Hubby dealt with the friend yesterday, I was shaking and feeling sick all morning worrying about it.

@Pam123 - sending my condolences on the loss of your beautiful fur baby, I understand how much part of the family furbabies are, and how deeply their loss is felt, please be kind to yourself and take time to grieve.

Morning, a 6.2 this morning.
Exhausted after leading the band at a Wellness group Christmas Party! A calmer day today, lunch with my sister <3
Have a lovely day.

Morning a 7.4 and a lie in for me.Did not realised how tired I was after my long drive last 2 days.
Had a McDonalds last night for first time in a Year as wife wanted one so as I did not have any basal yesterday I had to take some correction doses so a bit more difficult to manage.
Really quiet day today.Pick dogs up a bit of admin and then we have someone coming around to fit some blinds so enjoy all and have a good w/ end

Morning all. 5.1, so near, but no cigar.

Had the best sleep I’ve had for ages. No nocturnal calls from Ma-in-law. She was home by midday yesterday, everything fine, again, she even had a brain scan which showed no changes. Mr Eggy went round to see her later on in the afternoon and gave her a pep talk. He said she had to be more careful, put the lights on if she had to get up through the night, use her Zimmer and most of all that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her, except for old age! She didn’t dissolve into tears like she often does after a “ telling off” and then apparently she inhaled the piece of carrot cake I sent for her. There’s nowt wrong with her appetite! Fingers crossed it’s sunk in.

We’re going to break eggs with a stick today, all being well. Going to get the Christmas tree decorations out of the shed, I’m not promising the tree will be going up yet, small steps. Lots of other more boring domestic duties to be done first. But we’ve both had a good night and should be a bit more lively today and we shouldn’t have to leave the house. :thankyou:

Have a fab-u-lous Friday everyone.

Morning all 6.8 and feeling a bit nauseous tbh. Hopefully it’s nowt serious.
Mood’s a bit low as well today.

As for my cakes, I’m more enthusiastic than talented. That Dundee cake looks lovely but is dry. The three ingredient christmas cake has almost no rise but tastes lovely. And yesterday I made low carb stollen somehow is both over and underbaked at the same time. I might be feeding the ducks a lot this weekend

Good morning! Not a good start at 9.2 (IDD code for Pakistan).

No appointments today so some admin and some more Christmas cards (with mission creep has gone from 10 to 12). Overseas ones done yesterday but need posting.

Cloudy and midway between cold and cool!

Good morning on this dull & dark, wet morning 5.3 today

earlier as I do each weekday morning took Mrs @goodybags to work, was thinking I know I’m not the only one as I’ve seen various reports online and in the news recently regarding cars headlights,
but Im noticing more now (whilst I’ve currently got a problem with my right eye) the distraction from glare especially in low light conditions and rain quite distracting from car headlights, as so many seem so bright 🙄 don’t worry I am ok to drive - even if not confident in low light conditions at the moment, even if worst case scenario without my right eye (if that were ever the case)
I’ve been re-assured my vision in my left eye is, yes whilst not perfect it’s well up to the standard needed, as long as I’m wearing my specs, in-fact I’m looking forwards to getting some new specs, my prescription has changed I’m certain of that - obviously that will be looked into after my forthcoming surgery.

@Grannylorraine good to hear you had a decent nights sleep last night and your husband delt with the receiving the borrowed article your friend returned, hope your able to relax and recharge yourself whilst your now off work, looking forward to hearing in the new year of your running which maybe you will get back into ?

@eggyg if somebody ever did organise a forum bake-off of course you would be welcome to participate, I’m looking forward to tasting your carrot-cake, in-fact with that glorious dining room of yours I'm sure you would be the host, unless we all head to @ColinUK ‘s palacios place.

TC everybody 😎

7.2 for me couple points higher than normal but still happy with that
You all have a good day
xxxxx
Gail

Morning everyone. Another grey day here but it’s not raining so that’s a bonus. I’m off to the hospital soon to have an abdo scan after recent stomach pains which have long since disappeared.

Oh, and this mornings BG was a 4.8 so it’s going to be two JB’s as I can’t eat anything before the scan. Have a good day everyone and stay safe.

Morning everyone - woke up to my low alarm but by the time I'd rummaged around in the bathroom to do a finger prick only to find that my meter isn't working (I haven't used it for months and have no idea what the error message is) it had gone up to 6.7. I suppose it could have been a compression low - it went off in the night too and I actually had two jelly babies but I think that was a real low as didn't go high afterwards. @eggyg I laughed when I saw your comment that your Mother in Law hadn't called in the night after my accidental pocket call at 23.50!! Thank goodness you didn't hear it  I wrote ½ of our Christmas cars last night and will do the rest this morning so I can get them in the post. I'm determined to still send them as I love receiving them and hanging them up and it is the one time in the year that I contact a lot of our friends who are all spread out, particularly now we've moved so far away. On that note - my Mum tried to send a Christmas card to her cousin in Canada last week (who we stayed with and she meant to send her card with us but forgot) only to be told that they can't take post for Canada at the moment because of some strike. Anyway - have a good day everyone xxx

PS: I've (hopefully) got a sort of puppy proof Christmas tree in my kitchen. I bought one in a pot and have stood it on a small garden table in a watering tray and put a chair in front of it. I also haven't put any glass baubles on it so if they do get it it's a bit safer - we shall see, but it looks very pretty

A 5.8 for me today. 🙂

Dez

Good morning everyone 5.7 today. Hoping to finish the last Christmas present that we’re making for this year - just to knit a scarf and two hat for two small snowmen.

3.4 - Oops (my wife had more colourful language when the alarm went off  )

Funeral yesterday went as well as funerals go, still a bit traumatised by the open coffin in the house before prayers then closing the coffin and carrying it to the church which was opposite the house. It’s the tradition here and in a way is very respectful of the deceased and their family. After the funeral mass we all went to a local parish hall for the traditional soup, sandwiches, cakes and tea. My wife had the opportunity to meet up with at least a dozen of her cousins which was nice, albeit would have been preferable in better circumstances.

Last full day here before flying home tomorrow lunchtime. Not sure what we are doing but will play it by ear.

Here’s the road back from the funeral (you can just see it along the edge of the trees, a nice single track, we only saw one car coming the other way in the whole journey). Beautiful up in the mountains.

Take care everyone!

Breaking news! Mother in law just been carted off to hospital again. Carer found her on the floor. Pep talk didn’t work. Poor Mr Eggy, I worry for his health, I’m feeling stressed and my heart is racing so I can’t imagine what this is doing to his heart! :(
