Group 7-day waking average?

Afternoon all and 5.8 for me it was.

Was busy this morning doing a zoom audition for 'The Chase' one of the questions involved insulin which I got right 🙂

Any way I'm on the shortlist for the actual show but no guarantees.

Have a good day everyone.
ooh, let us know if you get on so we can watch it.

@Grannylorraine You’re doing the right thing. You know you’re doing the right thing deep down too.

Hopefully once things have settled down again you can realise that your life is still full of dreams and hopes and that you can achieve them still.

How did the cake with chocolate milk turn out.
It’s tasty! Definitely more like a fruity malt loaf than a Christmas cake.

I’d make it again but add in a tsp of bicarb and maybe bake it in a loaf tin rather than an 8” square.

Started to feel a bit achy yesterday so went to bed on Lemsip and woke up this morning still not feeling 100%. Tested, got a 6.7 so switched hands and did a second test - 6.0 - so let's call it 6.3 this morning. Felt a little better after breakfast, well enough for my wife and I to head over to Guildford as planned to do some Xmas shopping (she'd booked the day off), hence being late on parade today. I feel fine now so don't know what it was, and we got most of what we wanted in Guildford.

Sorry to hear about your woes @Grannylorraine and hope things get better for you going forward.

Enjoy what's left of the day, everyone.

I love Guildford! Before the Wisley junction was opened we used to do cycling time trials along that section of the A3 😱. Every time I approach the junction now, with its everlasting roadworks, I wonder if I'd get away with going to the front of the queue and saying, "You have to let me in: I'm diabetic".

How about for a bit of fun if people who test in the mornings post their waking levels? I think it would be interesting to see what the average works out at after a week 🙂

I'll start with mine - I was 6.0 when I woke up this morning 🙂

(please don't let me be the only person to enter one! 😉)
i was 12.6 when i woke up , really odd,

Morning all. 7.0 here.

Thanks @Grannylorraine and @eggyg - it was VERY windy yesterday, howling thru the house at times. The beach must be quite sheltered tho, because it wasn’t too bad and the sea wasn’t as wild as I’d expected. There’s a new webcam pointing at the beach, so we can see the sea from the sofa now LOL! Some crazy fool was working on the roof of one of the apartment blocks on the sea front - nutter! I hope your patch of Wales wasn’t badly effected @TinaD.

Time to venture out. Puppy needs to stretch her little legs...
Absolutely grim - 56 hours without electricity. Thought it was dying down and then - Wallop - a gust of wind which shook the house. Trees down all over although I didn't lose any. Can't get out down hill and uphill have to drive under a huge beech tree with is now resting its branches on neighbours garage. Definitely a bit dicey. Everyone out with chain saws but that one is too big and dangerous to tackle so waiting for professionals as Council says too much for them. Anyway only lost 3 slates and just reverted to medieval way of life - candles and woodburning cooker. Hope everyone else survived.

Bonjour mes amis. 6.4 which I’m putting down to lack of sleep.

Meeting a friend for a stroll later, he’s trying to exercise more and has roped a few of us to take him for walks during the week. I’ve booked tickets for Kew as I’m sure he’s never been. I tend to go once or twice a year so thought I’d treat him.

Good morning 5.5 today, another fun filled day at work
(I keep telling myself it’s fun)

Have a Terrific Tuesday everyone 😎

GM to one and all.

A 5.0 for me.

Overdid the peanut butter and walnuts last week, boy did my greed play havoc with my stomach (being delicate here if you follow my drift). I felt so ill. Everything fine and am now on rations . Can't even blame the diabetes!

Wishing everyone a lovely Tuesday.

Good morning all. 4.8, on the Libre, it’s reading low. 5.7 on the meter.

Back to it, back home and up at the crack. When I’m away I just relax, I still don’t sleep, well but I don’t get the mind whirring, first morning back and I’ve been awake since 4.15, up 5.20. Mind whirring, daft things, like, what should I give the girls for lunch tomorrow? I’ll have to go shopping today, I need to put a wash on, I need to write my Christmas cards but I can’t remember where I’ve put them, I need cash to put in some cards, what should I make for the kids’ Chrismas party we’re having on the 21st? I wonder who’ll win Masterchef/Strictly? And so on! All the while, he without a conscience is gently snoring away bedside me.:( So I’ve got up before I go down a rabbit hole! Notepad and pen in front of me to start a list of the lists I need to make! Insomnia sucks doesn’t it? I really should be used to it after 40 years!

Chilly day today but sunny, pity I’ll be too busy washing, shopping, writing lists and Christmas cards, when I eventually find them! o_O But at least I don’t have to go and do a days work at the Battle of the Somme like 30p Lee Anderson!

@TinaD was just thinking last night you were MIA, sounds like a right nightmare, not what you need at this moment in time. Hope all is sorted very soon.

Have a great day all, and I hope you all know where your Christmas cards are!

Morning a 6.8 for me and a flatfish and nice sleep.
Another quiet day before driving down South for our Xmas Do.So going to drop 2 of our dogs off later for their little holiday whilst I am away.
So have a good week all and may just go back to bed for an hour now dogs have been put and about and had my cup of tea.

Sounds like our household my wife has what she calls a “ chatty mind” thinking about every thing and nothing whilst I rarely have a disturbed night and usually a clear conscience / blissful ignorance.

Good morning - 5.4

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning everyone. Up way late at 6:15am !

BG 5.5

Yesterday i finalised my final music for my new song and played it for my friend who had come to tea. He was very positive which made me feel quite relieved as he is a well respected musician.

Today I may tackle the vocals. Vocals always seem to be tough to get right.
