Group 7-day waking average?

A nice round 5 for me this morning. 🙂

Dez

morning all have a good day
5.8 for me
15 sleeps till Santa comes

Good morning 6.1

Not actually raining at the moment. Almost still air. Very grateful to all those people who worked on restoring our power supply in absolutely horrible conditions.

Planning on a little desultory packing today.

Hope everyone doing well.

Morning all

4.2 today, didn’t sleep well with whirling mind or going to pinch @eggyg chatty mind phrase, did get some sleep, feel a little calmer today. Doc has prescribed some stronger antidepressant, the link to book onto therapy sessions and signed me off for a month to start with. That will give us time to start making some plans on how to manage financially until hubbies inheritance comes through which sadly is still a bit of a way off, but we will talk to our Bank about getting our mortgage payments lowered and give the solicitor a big push on getting things sorted, even seeing if there is a way we can complain about mistakes made by a County Court and the length of time it has taken to process paper work, which has cost us about 18 months.

Thank also to the people who messaged me directly, I really appreciate your concern, support, advice and ideas. Also interested reading through this how many have suffered stress at work recently.

Thank you all for your support yesterday, I am going to try and relax today with some crotchet which I haven’t felt like doing for a few days, so bit behind on my crotchet along. Going to be able to go and see mum earlier as not working.

@TinaD - not good about your power, but pleased to hear you have not had any major damage.

Morning all. 4.8. Off to the hospital this morning to sort them out. Mums care is shocking. I have my notebook at the ready and i shall be taking notes and names.

@eggyg my cards are in the spare bedroom atm waiting to be written (a job i hate doing). Lovely candleabra!

@TinaD at least you are all safe. I hope things get sorted out soon for you.

@Grannylorraine pleased to hear you're feeling a little calmer and that the doctor listened. A couple of years ago i had a link from the doctor to access some therapy and although i only had 6 sessions, it was the best thing i could have done. It put a lot of things straight in my mind. At least now you can breathe, start thinking about things and make plans. Take care.

Thought I was over whatever I picked up at the weekend but felt a bit under the weather again this morning so not surprised to see a 6.7 on waking - 6.8 LH, 6.6 RH, so it is right. Had some Lemsip and might skip my usual Tuesday swim. On top of everything I have one of my IBS flare-ups, although they are thankfully rare these days. Weather's lousy too, grey skies and a heavy drizzle. All things considered, not a great start to my day.

Our eldest left for Heathrow just after 8am to catch his flight to Rome (work, not pleasure) and my wife's in the office today, so just me and our youngest at home. He had a busy day yesterday, a 7 till 4 shift at Tesco and playing 5-a-side football in the evening, so I don't expect to see him until lunchtime.

Xmas cards have been mentioned, which reminded me that I need to get mine sorted. Might crack on with that today. In the meantime it's a coffee and read the newspaper.

Have a good day.

I can concur. After my father passed away in 2021, it took two years for his estate to be settled and everything(?) sorted. We had a windfall in a different direction, which put pay to our financial worries, which came out of the blue(!) So don't worry as things have a way of resolving themselves sometimes, even on the blackest of days.

8.2 for me this a.m., after a night of dropping BG levels (no midnight munchies this time).

Mrs S is on at the dentitions today miles away in Manchester. I've got college to attend at some point. More spreadsheets to wrap my brain around!

5.7 this morning from Northern Ireland, visiting my wife’s aunt and her lovely Twirl (a miniature dachshund) :

@Grannylorraine - you’re doing the right thing, as others have said no job is worth getting stressed about, your health is way more important. Take care of yourself.

@eggyg - love the candles - far more impressive than the picture I had in my mind when you mentioned it!

Take care everyone!

Morning the cold is raising with a horse voice bot the BS is still a 5.4 for me today and i feel good just hands tired of holding tissues up to the nose every 5 seconds
And Have a good day all

I call it my internal monologue. It never shuts up!
Oh, mine doesn´t seem to shut up either! At least I´m lucky it gives me a rest during the night. And I don´t even have a family to feed or similar big responsibilities. I honestly don´t think I could cope with being a mum.

Here you go Patti. The candles look very dark on here they are actually Wedgewood blue which matches my rug and table runner!
Looks lovely and suits your table perfectly! Mine was more like the picture, but silver plated. I also had a little thingie you put on the middle one and you could arrange flowers in it. I thought I was terribly posh, but actually it was a nuisance as it stopped people being able to see guests who were sat opposite. I used to have to take it off the table when people sat down!

Good morning! 7'4 today. Tea of the day is turmeric and orange, not bad.

I am off until Friday and have plenty of plans to keep me busy this days. This morning I´ve been to the dentist and I booked an hygienist appointment for tomorrow on my way out. The dentist, who was Spanish too and a nice chap, said he recommended it but it wasn´t urgent. However I know myself and if I didn´t book it now I´m likely to put it off for ages. Later today I have creative club, where is someone´s birthday; and bowling in the evening with some coworkers, the company is paying for it as an activity for the team.

I skipped breakfast to be on time for the dentist, and on my way back I thought " let´s wait until lunch and I´ll have a portion of a basal test done". Of course just the thought made me hungrier, but I will hopefully distract myself with the computer and reading. I decided against doing my food shop in this time :D

I am looking for presents for my parents. This year I wanted to do more an experience than a physical gift, although I´m also getting them a little something to unwrap. One of my ideas was tickets for a concert or show, but I´m a bit worried as the ones I found are all not exchangeable and I don´t know if the dates will work for them. There are some companies that sell "experience boxes" where they have a bunch to pick from and can arrange a convenient time, so might do that. Or a gift card for the cinema.

I am not writing or sending any Christmas cards this year, as I paid a silly amount of money to put myself in a plane and tell them "Feliz Navidad" in the flesh 😎

Morning all - grey and dull again but no wind.

6.3 this morning after a night when I slept like a baby, despite getting up for the loo 3 times. I know the internal monologue well. It's usually regarding completely inconsequential stuff these days, but it still winds me up!

I am glad I am not the only one who hates doing Christmas cards! I was going through lots of angst thinking I was a grouch and ungenerous, but it seems I am not alone! Thankfully got all the emails sent yesterday, with a link to a card on BlueMountain.com where I have a subscription and it led to a nice card with Frank Sinatra singing "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". I also attached our annual newsletter. Done and Dusted!

Not much on today.... need to cook the pork roast we should have had on Sunday, dauphinoise pots, carrots and sprouts. Oh and a small heap of ironing.

Glad to see you back @TinaD what an awful time you had.

Have a good day all

Good morning. It was a 4.9 for me earlier this grey but less windy day.

Mr Eggy also concerned we won’t be able to see anyone but I would probably move it to the sideboard if we had a full house. It’s just for show really. Mr Eggy was desperate to light the candles yesterday, no chance said I, I’ve just paid 20 quid for them!

Morning good folks. First up. 5.4 on a new sensor. My 6 day old one fell off last night! Already ordered another one. At just before 5 am it woke me buzzing, 2.9. I ignored it of course, never in a million years was I 2.9. Ten minutes later 6.5. Tossed and turned until 5.30 and got up.

Busy day today, double trouble childcare, arriving 8.30, hospital appointment for Mr Eggy 10.30, opticians for me 2pm. These appointments were made before daughter went back to work after her mat leave. My opticians needs booking 8/10 weeks in advance, she’s that busy. One woman independent.

The good news is I found my Christmas cards. I forgot I had a new bed, the ottoman type that lifts up, I’d stored them under the bed! The better news is I got them all written last night before Masterchef even started. The even better news is I walked down to the postbox at 9pm. All done and dusted. <smug emoji>

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Morning all. 5.6

Nice day at Kew Gardens yesterday although it was cold.

Baked a lower carb Dundee cake last night to take to a coffee drop in thing this afternoon. First time baking one and apart from this oven taking way longer than the recipe suggested, it looks and smells delicious.
